We were extremely disappointed with this hotel after reading positives reviews. Firstly, the rooms are extremely small! Not suitable for a family of 5. They are very basic and old, the balcony wood is falling apart. The rooms are not what you would expect from a 4* hotel. There was also an ant infestation in the bathroom. We informed reception who said ‘thank you for letting us know’. No matter how much we wiped the bathroom side and kept it clear they still came back every day! The hotel had a VERY serious WASP problem! When speaking to staff about it they said there is a nest somewhere which management do not care about. My 10 month old baby was stung whilst I was holding her and plating up breakfast. The wasps are all around the food, drinks abs tables at every meal!! Dead wasps would be in jam jars, honey and BBQ sauce dip. It really was awful. Breakfast comes with filtered coffee and any other coffees is charged at €3.50 or more. Most of the bar and restaurant staff are extremely unfriendly, even the staff member at the towel desk. There were maybe around 5 out of 40 who would say good morning/evening and smile when they served you. But the rest were miserable and rude. The management at reception were the most unhelpful with requests. Which doesn’t surprise me when I heard numerous guests at reception complain about the hotel. This hotel charges for anything extra!! We must say the cleaners were amazing and cleaned made the beds beautifully every day. There was a lot of work men around the hotel every day who appeared to be doing works to the hotel. The location is very remote and taxi’s are expensive. This would be OK if the hotel weren’t charging €3 for water every time you sit down to eat. We have stayed at many hotels with our 3 children and apart from the beautiful scenes around hotel this really has nothing to offer. We will not be coming back and I would NOT recommend this hotel for families.

We stayed at an apartment and it was wonderful: the size of the room, cleanliness, location, the pools… I even had a Cretan full body & scalp massage at the spa and Priya was excellent - she got rid of the discomfort I got in my shoulder when lifting my luggage in the overhead locker in the plane. Highly recommended!
