We stayed at the Castello Boutique Hotel for 10 nights. We picked the hotel for it’s 5 ⭐ Rating given we always book and are used to staying in wonderful 5 ⭐ Adults Only hotels, however there were aspects of this hotel which do not come anywhere near this rating. We had a brilliant room which we nicknamed the Royal Box as it was central and over looking the pool and was great for watching the evening entertainment and having a glass or two of wine on the very large balcony. The room was kept very clean by the amazing maids. Hats off to these lovely ladies. The only downside with the room was the white hotel towels had seen better days, they were very grey and washed out and far too small. These definitely need an upgrade for 2026. The pool is lovely however there were quite a few broken sun beds and tables at the back of the grassy pool area which should have been fixed or removed. The five pergolas at the back of the garden area also need some tender loving care as does the decking in this area as they look very tatty. This area could be improved by putting daybeds in them. The most disappointing part of our holiday was the restaurant. Whilst the breakfast was very good every day and had an excellent choice of both hot and continental choices with lots of lovely fruit and breads the evening meals were extremely disappointing. Whist the cold salad bar was great the hot main courses were awful. There were four choices each evening from a main course menu choice, options on these choices were limited or not available and both these and the additional hot buffet options were never hot, lukewarm warm at best and lacked any favour. For this reason we ended up eating out the last week of our holiday. In addition to this as it was coming to the end of season many of the wine choices on the drinks list had run out! Whether you are staying at the beginning of the season or the end the wines should be available. The cheapest alternative wine we were offered was €40 from the selection left and it was terrible! The final issue with the hotel we would like to feedback on is a conference held in the hotel for several days with approx 40 young people. They occupied the bar area, pool area and pool gardens through each day for lectures and broke the peaceful tranquility of the hotel grounds and pool area where any people were relaxing. If conferences are to be held they should be post season. People come on holiday to relax and chill out and this was not 100% possible while this conference was on. As many of the hotel clientele are on the older side we are sure other clients would have found this a nuisance. We did not want to be giving any negative feedback as we have had a fabulous holiday in Sissi and apart from these issues the hotel and staff are lovely. We just hope for anyone wanting to stay here in 2026 the issues are addressed by the hotel group but if we did come back it would be a bed and breakfast only.
We had a fantastic 5 day stay at this beautiful hotel. It was coming to end if season so the hotel was very quite and peaceful. Staff was excellent from start to finish. Carnt wait to vist again real soon.
Had a lovely holiday at Castello Boutique hotel Sissi. Can't fault the hotel at all, except for an absence of a ramp for the luggage . The room was lovely with a view of a lovely church. Housekeeping standard was excellent, and the breakfasts were of a very high standard. The front of desk help was top class, especially Marianna, who was an excellent source of information. The location of the hotel was very good with the sea and many good restaurants just a short walk away. Overall, the holiday was a lovely experience, thanks to all the staff.
The Hotel is just perfect, Modern, Clean , in a great location, The staff certainly made our holiday, Friendly & Knowledgeable We booked half board , the breakfast options certainly sets you up for the day The restaurant is a very clean & relaxed environment, the hot & cold buffet is available every evening , you also have a choice of 4 main course meals that change every evening, Our bedroom was modern & clean, the bed was super comfortable, so sleeping was never a problem, The staff on the main desk are super efficient when required, The hotel & pool location are all super zen , plenty of Sunbeds & clean The Animation team are super friendly & great for a giggle
