Creta Maris Resort

A Wonderful Family Vacation at Charta Maris Hotel, Crete We recently stayed at Charta Maris with a big multi-generational family group — grandparents, two sisters and their husbands, and five kids ranging from 4.5 to 16 years old. Finding a hotel that works for such a wide age range isn't easy, but this place delivered. The water park was a huge hit — genuinely one of the best we've experienced, with something for every age group. Our kids, from the youngest to the teenagers, all found things they loved and kept themselves entertained the whole stay. The staff deserve special mention — friendly, attentive, and quick to offer real solutions whenever small issues came up during our stay. As Israeli guests, our main challenge was the food selection, since many dishes contained pork products, so it took some extra effort to find suitable options at each meal. Also worth noting: the central air conditioning has a minimum setting of 22°C, which felt a bit warm at times, especially during the hotter days. Overall, despite these minor points, we had a fantastic vacation and would happily recommend Charta Maris to other families looking for a place where everyone — from grandparents to young children — can relax and have fun.

We are a family of 6 with 4 young adult children aged over 18 years and over, we have always gone to large All Inclusive resorts for our annual holiday. Creta Maris is the best hotel we have ever stayed at and we will be returning again next year for our third visit as this hotel ticks all the boxes for us and more. The food is amazing offering many delicious fish/meat dishes lots of salads, vegetables and fresh fruit not forgetting fabulous sweet desserts and of course the restaurants ( seafood, our favourite) The hotel/grounds and rooms are spotless, all the staff are friendly and polite. The adult only area, pool, cocktail bar and eating area transformed this holiday for us by offering a peaceful and relaxing environment that we have not found before in large family All Inclusive resorts that we have previously chosen, this is one of the main reasons why we will be returning next year for a third time. A big thankyou to Irene in the adult only cocktail bar, you stood out to us as you were so welcoming and always served with a smile. The cocktails always tasted great, well made and the sparkly wine was always served chilled. Thankyou Creta Maris for a wonderful holiday and to all the hard working staff. See you next year.

The food is not good, everything is far, the all inclusive is not worth the value for money. The rooms are old. There are better hotel in Creta No activity in the hotel except one singer that sing very boring

Incredible resort with outstanding food, shows, rooms and people-shout out to the barman Michalis in particular, friendly and makes a mean Negroni. Right on the beach, easy to Heraklion and the airport and the waterslides are amazing!!

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed for 7 nights at this hotel. The hotel and staff are great. This time there was issues that require attention. We stayed as adults only again which was grate. The adult swimming pool is really good and maintained with a life guard. The problem is getting to sum beds around the pool. In the morning the beds are covered by holiday makers booking the bed really early by placing their towels on them and the going away. NOT GOOD... It was tried to be rectified by the hotel pool attendants. The other issue if you eat a Estia restaurant it says BBQ food and Buffet. This was not the case it was warm Buffet food. The last meal of the holiday was a disaster. Other than these points the hotel is really good and 7 nights is about the correct time on duration.
