Daios Cove Resort & Luxury Villas

The location, facilities, and overall hotel experience were outstanding. Everything was immaculate, polished, and beautifully maintained throughout our stay. We opted for full board, which was absolutely worth it, as we enjoyed all of our meals at the hotel and the food was consistently excellent. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered a great variety each day, and lunches down by the beach were especially enjoyable in such a lovely setting. The beach itself was perfect, and the pools were equally fantastic. We also made use of the complimentary shuttle into town, which was a nice addition and made for a pleasant morning trip. The only aspect that significantly let the experience down was the service in the adults-only section of the Pangaea buffet. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident but a consistent pattern throughout our stay. On multiple occasions, we were completely overlooked by staff, with simple requests either forgotten entirely or taking an unreasonably long time to arrive. Meanwhile, tables around us were being served promptly with water, tea, coffee, drinks, and general table service while we were left waiting and repeatedly trying to get someone’s attention. What made this particularly frustrating was the contrast between the level of service we observed others receiving and the lack of attention we experienced ourselves. After several days, it genuinely became uncomfortable and disheartening, as we were made to feel invisible almost every time we dined there. In a hotel of this standard and price point, the service should feel attentive and welcoming, especially in what is marketed as a premium adults-only dining area. Instead, it consistently fell below expectations and noticeably impacted what would otherwise have been an exceptional stay

Beautiful setting and excellent level of service from all resort staff. The room was spacious and well laid out with plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Quality of sleep was excellent and virtually no noise from other residents. The private beach was an absolute joy for both sunbathing and swimming. The sea was clear and calm and there was always more than enough choice of loungers at any time of the day. The beach guy did a great job finding a spot which had shade for my husband and sun for me. One small criticism is the pool areas. The main pool does not have a huge amount of loungers considering the number of rooms and guests and is popular with families with small children - it got very noisy and very busy very quickly. The adult only pool is too small for proper swimming and only has half a dozen or so lounger settings. Having a separate and bigger pool for adults would be a real bonus. I normally like to swim a lot in the pool on holiday but the beach area was so good I spent more time there. The food offerings were very good and the staff gave an excellent service throughout. The buffet was varied each evening and although I heard some guests complaining about the temperature of the food, my husband and I did not have an issue. Buffets can be hit or miss, but this one was very good on the whole, particularly the range of food available and the desserts. There was also a good choice of different areas to eat in the large buffet restaurant, including an adults only section. We ate in 3 of the a la carte restaurants and couldnt fault the food or service. The wine was a bit expensive but, hey, you’re on holiday, relax and enjoy! We had a very late flight (11pm), pick up at 8pm. The hotel made sure we had a late checkout to mid afternoon as well as a late lunch to see us through. We would definitely consider returning to this resort - it is the best of the three Greek places we have visited in the last year. Lovely resort and lovely island - we did 3 trips during the week we were there and still a lot more we didn’t have time to explore.

This year marked our fourth visit to Daios Cove, and it was the best one yet. Not because of the weather, but because of the fabulous people there. My mom always says that a great vacation is 50% service and 50% everything else — and I couldn’t agree more. We spent every evening at the Ocean Bar, mainly because of the incredible team working there. Not only were they highly attentive, but they also welcomed us with such warmth that we immediately felt at home. Manuel and his team, in particular, made our stay truly magical. We also absolutely love the location of the cove. If you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and aesthetically beautiful place, Daios Cove should definitely be your next destination.

Our third stay at Daios Cove and once again it exceeded every expectation. Every time we come back we’re reminded why this place is so special. The food and drinks are genuinely 10/10 and we can never get over the beauty of the cove, but what really makes the experience unforgettable is all of the incredible staff from the Firefly room service staff, the Taverna, the Beach, the Ocean restaurant and pool bar to the Crystal box bar. They all go above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. A special thank you to Andreas at the Ocean Bar — it’s always such a pleasure seeing him and his drinks are always absolutely perfect. We also met George for the first time this year and he was fantastic, looking after us around the pool during the day and serving evening drinks too. We loved spending our after-dinner evenings at Crystal Box and it was great to see Manos still managing the bar so brilliantly. Huge thanks as well to Maria and Anna, who we met this year. They were so warm and friendly every single night, always remembering our favourite drinks and greeting us with huge smiles. The level of service at Daios Cove is honestly second to none and it’s the people who keep bringing us back year after year. Already counting down until our next visit! Ta Leme!
