Beautiful spot and much better out of season as in season it gets too crowded. love the private beach. Could be more space around the pool.

Similar story to some other reviews- we really wanted to love this place and had high hopes. We have been to many Ikos and Lux resorts and thought this would be on par. I have never wrote a review before but thought if I had read something similar before booking, it would have given me the heads up. They advertise premium alcohol, but every day when we ordered a bottle of wine, we had an issue. Most of the time they didn’t have it. The Manager confirmed to us that it was end of season and its supply issues. Usually a true 5* resort would then upsell rather than trying to sell you a poor alternative that tasted awful. When we complained, we would then be able to order it but have the same issue later on or the following day. The food was good but not an amazing breakfast- don’t get me wrong there is nothing wrong with it and the service is good but not the same standards as Ikos/ Lux. This is advertised as a child friendly resort, I wouldn’t say this is the case. There is nothing that makes it child friendly, the kids club park is very basic and old, the whole place is on a hill so very awkward with a buggy. There is no evening entertainment apart from a very basic show on a beach one night. We were Resident club with a large room and pool area but the pools aren’t heated. You have to pay extra for that and the sun doesn’t touch most of them it seems. Our main issue was on check out day. As soon as 11am strikes you are no longer all inclusive and are expected to pay for everything. We have never known any other place do this before. Poor to say we arrived after midnight on arrival so didn’t use the all inclusive on the first day anyway. If you’ve already booked, don’t let this put you off but I wish I had read some reviews like this before booking.

We had a lovely week at this resort in Oct. Very organised on arrival, a buggy took us to our room, which was a deluxe sea view. Very beautiful large room with large fridge, very comfortable bed and excellent shower. We chose to sit on the beach for the first few days, plenty of loungers available and nice to have the beach restaurant very close. However on the second day we felt we were swamped with young children on top of us, causing this to be a bit distraction to our relaxation. We then moved to the pool area after this and were lucky enough to get a quiet area at the top of the pool. There is an adults only area but it is right next to the pool and the toilets are through this area so seemed pointless. One afternoon we had a thunderstorm so went to the indoor pool and spa, which was beautiful. The gym is amazingly equipped. We chose to eat in Pangea most evenings, amazing choice of food, we didn’t feel the need to eat anywhere else. Anna on greet in Pangea was amazing and remembered our room number. This hotel is beautiful and I am sure we will return one day but there are a lot of young children here and we even witnessed 4 children aged around 5 travelling in the funicular alone. Wonderful hotel but we wished less children.

We stayed here with teenage children and older parents. Brilliant location on a beautiful cove. The design of the hotel is superb and the rooms really nice. The service let it down and it had a real end of season feel about it. Many requests for items like room service or champagne were refused or downgraded because they claimed to be running out. Not sure if that was true or just an attempt at cost cutting. While service was great in parts, overall it was well below a typical 5 star hotel of that quality. I wouldn’t recommend it for older people. Lots of steps, dim lighting everywhere (we asked for brighter lighting at one point in a room and the staff refused) and very low chairs throughout which are hard for old people to get in and out of. The beach is lovely with good snorkelling off shore and a lovely restaurant. An Ikos is opening on the island soon I think and I’d try that before returning here.
