Really enjoyed our stay overall. Staff very attentive. We were on bed and breakfast basis. The prices on the beach are extortionate, basic food but totally overpriced for what it is. Unfortunately, I mislaid my sunglasses on the beach, we reported it to the hotel, but unfortunately they weren't found. Pity that in a 5 star hotel somebody may have stolen them.

A €7.5k holiday that was was start to finish a complete and absolute rip off. Ideclined the all inclusive option as I couldnt justify a further €3.75k just for access to unlimited alcohol and some meals in a different restaurant. We therefore took the half board option which gave us buffet breakfast and buffet evening meal. The resort, which is 20 minutes south of Agios Nicolias, is a design masterpiece, accomodation units carved into the cove's contours. More than adequate rooms with large beds, spacious bathrooms and adequate storage. There are numerous flights of steps. 50 steps to get to the beach for example. Steps to the rooms that are very badly lit at night. The balcony roof is made only from layered branches and is not watertight. Our outdor furniture was rendered useless on day three from the rain soaking. See pictures. Without excception every day the buffet food was presented cold for ten straigt days. Three times I pointed this out to the dutry manager. He agreed and offered to warm my food in a microwave. The food offering was limited in choice and disjointed in offering.Breakfast offering: Brussel sprouts, baked beans, butter beans, eggs ( any col way you like) smoked bacon and processed mini sausages. EVERYTHING, everyday was cold.. The dinner offering of cold meats and salads was the best option as it was the same tempreture as the biryani, ragu, soup and other cold offerings. Managers really could not car less when i showed them the cold food. Unable to tolerate this appauling food we took to a daily taxi at E20 each way and dined in Agios Nicolias on 6 of our ten nights. The daily entertainment was identical every day that it was presented. Dance music in the cocktail bar. Never were there more than 30 people in this room. Impossible to have a conversation with this monotonous racket.It was utterly appaauling. Drinks cost house greek wine E18/glass, Local small Greek Mythos beer E9 (330ml), cocktails started at E22 and soarded up from that stsrting point. Ultimately and to summarise, this hotel is isolated 20 minutes from nearest shops/ alternative bars. The single worst buffet offereing I have ever encountered, and, rip off bar prices with zero entertainment

This was our second holiday at Daios Cove having previously spent a couple of weeks in 2019. This time it was one week in a Collection Ocean View Junior Suite. The room was very attractive and clearly recently refurbished but there were still several issues. We had requested a quiet room on a high floor and while not commenting on the height aspect as the rooms selected are where they are, we were disappointed to be located adjacent to the kids club and play area - clearly not quiet! The room lacked drawer space which was a shame as there is plenty of space in which to put drawers. The bathroom had only one washbasin and nowhere to hang hand towels. The balcony had a roof cover but not water proof which may not be a problem mid summer but it was late September. If this sounds unduly negative that's a pity as it was an attractive room and comfortable, just minor niggles some of which would be easily resolved. The room was very well serviced. The complimentary minibar was too 'Wellness' oriented. I suspect the hotel over estimates the popularity of 'Wellness' concepts. We thought it far preferable to be included in the Residents Club with the dine around concept very welcome. The wine and cocktails listings are terrific for all inclusive - it's not often you see guests relaxing on the beach with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, which is commonplace here. The restaurants were good with Ocean outstanding. The beach restaurant is good but the menu was not quite as good as we remember from our previous visit. The Taverna was our go to restaurant on the previous visit but we weren't so happy with the menu this time. Ocean has a wide menu with beautifully cooked food and certainly at dinner is more 'fine dining' than the others. We thought the beach was good and the swimming. Previously we had felt the beach very crowded but not so this time - perhaps we just found a better area. Overall a nice break and hopefully some of the minor criticisms will be helpful

Rooms are dated and could benefit from a renovation. Our shower was clogged and staff saw to it quickly. Service is great. The hotel is targeted to UK families of young children (under 5). Unfortunately, I would not recommend it for children over that age as they are very few activities for them, even though the kids club is advertised for ages up to 12, our kids (ages 7,9) could not be entertained there due to activities being very toddler centered. The hotel would really benefit from having a basketball court or soccer area (eg near the mini market by funicular C where there is so much dead space) for older kids but also for families who want to do something more active with their kids, especially when the window is so bad there is no way to swim at the beach or in the pool. The majority of people will put down their towels by 8 am at the Pool lounge chairs meaning there is no chance you will ever find a spot by the pool. Over five days we were never able to sit by the pool let alone Swim in it. We had to be down at the beach before 9am in order to secure a lounge chair and enjoy the beach. The food was great everywhere, except for the buffet restaurant which I found chaotic and having run out of food by 8 pm. For the last two nights we chose to eat at Tavernas in Agios Nikolaos so as to avoid the crowds and the lack of space at any restaurant apart from the buffet one. Unfortunately, with high winds, the hotel really is not a fun place to be as they are very few alternatives. The Arcade room is space, dirty, and requiring cash for any games to be played. They could really reel in older kids (8-teens) by having a proper games room with fun, free, arcade games, board games in English for the whole family, even simply having decks of cards and Uno or a pool table or a ping-pong table that actually have equipment. It just really was a huge disappointment after all the advertisement. Overall, I would only recommend this for people who really enjoy the all-inclusive vibe, especially if coming from the UK, and with very small children.
