Daios Cove Resort & Luxury Villas

The most amazing time here! The rooms were beautiful, housekeeping always kept them clean day and night. We had a pool on a balcony which was freezing (you can pay €80 to heat it per day) but it was worth it for the view and a quick dip. The main pool was heated but the hotel seems to attract a lot of babies/ young toddlers so keep this in mind. Though, there were adults only breakfast, pool, gym, and buffet areas. The staff here are actually amazing- delivering drinks to your sun-beds by the pool and the beach! Everyone was so welcoming and it was really a great experience. I would recommend visiting during off peak season as there is limited space in the restaurants and around the pool and it does get quite busy. Also get the ‘residents plus’- we had 24/7 room service and food and drink for free (unless it was stated otherwise). This was perfect as there isn’t much outside the resort and their prices in the restaurants/ bars were quite expensive. Thank you for a lovely stay :)

I had a wonderful stay at Daios Cove. The service throughout the resort was exceptional and really made the holiday special. Dimitra in Taverna and RHO was incredibly warm, attentive and always welcoming. Georgia at Firefly was fantastic, and the entire Firefly team were incredible throughout my stay. I also want to mention the young male waiter who looked after me so well, and the bartender at Crystal Box who made one of the best dry gin martinis I’ve had! Thank you to the whole team for such a memorable experience — I can’t wait to return.

I’m here currently it’s absolutely fantastic we’re upgraded by the hotel to a better room because we are celebrating our anniversary. We spoke with Maria a senior manager at reception and asked her if we could upgrade again at our cost to a larger sea view . Oh my lord we literally got the best room and view. We will definitely return as the residence club is a game changer with superb champagne, food and wine .

This hotel is a hidden Gem, the food, staff, views, rooms are all amazing! Perfect for couples as some rooms have their own private pool or families as it has a children's club and kids pool. The hotel has its own luxury rib boat which I would highly recommend it has its own Skipper (Nikos) and it gives you full day taking in Spinalonga island and the beautiful coastline with clear crystal water where you can stop for a for a swim or relax and take in the views. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere it is located directly on the beach in a beautiful cove, it is a 10/15 minute drive from Agios Nikolaos which has lovely shops, bars and restaurants.

We have been here 2 days now and are underwhelmed having stayed at ikos we were told this was similar but it’s definitely not. Rooms are very basic with limited toiletries, welcome amenity was water and three apples, mini bar was empty on arrival you have to order daily, bedding is v basic only 2 pillows and no scatter cushions or soft furnishings, cushions on balcony were soaking wet, no smart tv so couldn’t connect and watch our own apps, channel choice v limited . If you’re on the mountainside and it’s windy it’s beyond noisy - we’ve had two nights with no sleep ! The pool and beach are over 30 min round trip to rooms which are on the beyond steep hillside accessed via a single very slow fernicular which means you can’t pop back to rooms for anything once you leave you’re out for the day! There is No library which isn’t the end of the world but a foc nice thing to have and we’ve not experienced a hotel without one for years! The bar isn’t big enough and is full of children there is no adult only bar. Food - buffet is dreadful everything is cold and crusty no vegetables at all after 2nd visit we’ve decided to have pool food for lunch and skip dinner. Service is average plates aren’t cleared quickly and staff are scruffily dressed wearing non uniform hoodies. The Quality of service is intermittent 3* at best no one introduced themselves by name at all or asked how our meal was we had to chase to settle the bill.
