Daios Cove Resort & Luxury Villas

We have just come back from Daios Cove. The trip was a celebration trip so we splashed out for a luxury place. We weren’t disappointed as our room was upgraded on arrival to a two bedroom wellness villa with private pool. The villa was great. Large, spacious with a fantastic private pool (pictured). This meant we had no reason to use the public pools. We went for the highest package we could Including all inclusive and room service. The room service is exceptional. Available 24 hours on demand with waiting times of around 45 mins to one hour. The resort is large and there is a gold buggy collection and drop off service if you don’t wish to walk. The staff were friendly, the service generally good! We had issues at the start of our trip where we were given incorrect information over buffet opening time and there being a seperate child-focussed buffet, which there isn’t. We also had service issues the first two two nights we were there, but they were dealt with by guest services and they didn’t happen again. The only downside for this trip is that if you have young children, there is no suitable night time entertainment (it does exist but isn’t great) or pool with children’s infrastructure like slides. Generally it feels like a place for adults that has allowed children to attend, rather than being child focussed. Our children were two and four and if we didn’t have the private pool, it would have been a challenging holiday for us. I think older kids would be less impacted. There is a kids club with very good staff. This was a really lovely place. Good food. Beautiful setting. Good staff. Good hotel if you’re looking at a luxury end accommodation,

The promo video for Daios Cove shows a lot of beautiful people moving in slow mo to a Zero7 type soundtrack. It's all lovely and seductive (with the promise of air con too!!) Whilst they deliver on the video promise of relaxation and calm (without the slo mo), the reality offers SO much more. The entire development has been undertaken brilliantly...right to the last detail. The stone used to clad the complex buildings comes from the excavation on the same site - tying it back into the natural landscape, enhanced further by an incredible planting scheme. A hidden network of discreet roads provide both service and guest buggy transfer routes...really slick. The food is consistently excellent with a wide range of styles and options. The villa rooms, bedding, pillow quality were spot on. The Daios Cove app took some getting used to but has everything in one place (reservations, information, menus, etc) However, their most undersold facility is the spa. Even the name "spa" conjures up a zen environment just offering a series of luxurious treatments. It is this and a lot more besides. There aren't many spas that offer a hyperbaric oxygen enrichment chamber or a cryotherapy capsule which is at a temperature of -82⁰C. Knowing I needed to get fit, I opted for a Styku body scan and Pnoe VO2 Max test (breathing mask apparatus and an exercise bike) to understand more about my starting point. The outcome of the process revealed some significant issues that needed to be addressed promptly. Customised weight, interval and endurance training programmes were drawn up referring to the test results and personal trainers then took me through the circuits. It was a wholly unexpected, and hopefully life changing, experience for which I am very grateful. Not a typical hotel review...but Daios Cove isn't a typical hotel. Enjoy

The food here is absolutely amazing, the staff are so friendly and go above and beyond, the gym is high spec and the spaces are amazing. We were in the residents club and would definitely recommend this! However, the one disadvantage (and the reason is brought our rating to 4) is there were not enough sunbeds to be had in the resort. There was frequently people waiting at the bar for sunbeds and complaining. The adults only pool is far too small with only 14 or so beds. We learnt after the first day we needed to wake up early to secure our beds. But this was unfortunately the downside. Having said this, it didn’t ruin our trip and would still recommend as an ultra all inclusive hotel. If you are travelling as a couple we would say avoid the school holidays!

Really good stay. The Beach house restaurant was our favourite, and Godfred the waiter is the best! The Chef was so adaptable for children to have what they want. Pool loungers busy but there were always beach loungers. the staff are trying to make the experience the best, and the water sports team were great. Amazing.
