Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection

We had a wonderful stay at Domes of Elounda and can highly recommend this hotel without hesitation. The entire resort is beautifully designed and exceptionally well maintained. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxing, with stunning views and lovely landscaping throughout the property. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their professionalism and warmth created a very comfortable and enjoyable experience from the moment we arrived. The half-board buffet exceeded our expectations every day. The selection was extensive, fresh, and beautifully presented, offering a great variety of high-quality dishes. In addition, the restaurants and other dining options within the resort were also excellent and operated at a very high culinary level. Overall, our stay was absolutely fantastic. Domes of Elounda combines luxury, comfort, excellent service, and outstanding food in a truly beautiful setting. We would 100% recommend this hotel and would be delighted to return in the future.

Well, where to begin. This is my second visit solo, this time and wow, nothing but praise. I’m still here with one day remaining. From day - no minute one ! the reception I received was so inviting and relaxed, extra attentive given I was on my own.. my room, with a sea view, was just what I dreamed and more. I even requested a sun lounger for those days I just wanted some extra “me” time with this special trip. And my request was no problem at all. And Butterfly my housekeeper, is amazing. Nothing was (and is whilst I am still in situ) too much trouble. Food great, atmosphere great. I can’t wait to come back already next year. Thank you fie

2nd trip to Domes and it was even better than the last. Everything is always immaculate from the service to the food to the rooms and whole resort. Our 2 year old son went to the crèche every day and loved Eleni and her incredible team. She took care of him so well and he was always so happy there. The staff are amazing as always and it’s down to people like Kelly that we have the best experience when there and feel like we are at home. Gutted to have had to leave after a week of bliss but will be back next year! Small opportunity to improve: please offer matcha at the restaurants as I was desperate for this and more hooks in the rooms to hang things up on backs of doors etc. other than that it was perfect!

Waking up to the panoramic views of Spinalonga island each morning was an experience I’ll never forget. I didn’t think a holiday with a toddler and a newborn would be relaxing but I slept so well and even feel more chilled since coming home. Thank you Domes of Elounda! Our favourite parts - the stunning beach with olive trees and amazing views. Our toddler absolutely loved splashing in the still water and building sandcastles. The staff were super friendly and we also loved the lunch - The spacious room, bathroom and terrace. Housekeeping were also brilliant and helped organise the chaos! We appreciated the mini bottles of water and chocolates each day - Thalos restaurant buffet - we loved sitting outdoors with the amazing views. The flat whites at breakfast were perfect as well as the freshly squeezed orange juice. Our favourite waiter greeted us each morning so kindly and was amazing with our toddler. He always had a smile and made us feel super relaxed, I forgot his name but it begins with a J! We all loved every dinner we had there, we much preferred it to the buffet at Sani. - Our toddler had an amazing time at the bubble show, then we had dinner at Core. They had a wonderful singer and band and the food was delicious, it had a real atmosphere there - The kids club is incredible, so many brand new toys and games. We just visited during the family time and my toddler loved it. The staff were so great with him and if he was older I know he would have loved going every day - We enjoyed walking to Plaka and Elounda on a couple of cooler days, taking the small boat trip to Spinalonga is a must! A couple of things that would have made it better - By the family pool there is a fantastic shop with big bottles of water, ice lollies, toys etc. however this is pretty far from the beach. It would have been great to have a little shop at the beach or within the main hotel. The beach bar sold a couple of scoops of ice cream in a tub for 5.5 euros. But they did have great ice cream for kids at dinner time at the buffet. - the indoor pool is only open to children from 6-7pm which is obviously too late. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and were very sad to leave!

The hotel is well located with views out to sea and Spinalonga island though not really in easy walking distance to nearby villages due to lack of pavements and narrow roads. It is on a hillside to there are steep slopes and steps to most rooms which could be a problem for some. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Room was large with great views and good views from the pool though it was cold and you didn't stay in for long. The adults only pool is also not heated but understand the family one is though we didn't try it. The beach has plentu of loungers but there is limited beach/sand area. The sea shelves very gradually so it is safe for children. We enjoyed the self service restaurant with a good variety of dishes that changed daily. Portions were small so you could try serveral. There is quite loud piped music in the restaurant and bar with we feld was not really in keeping with a hotel of this standard. Beware the water scam. Almost before you sit down your glasses are turned over and they are offering water from a bottle for which you are later charged 5 Euro. We complained and were told tap water was available (it is quite safe it Crete) but it was never offered. Quite a lot of young children as the hotel business model inlcludes spa for the adults and childcare for the youngsters. This may not suit everyone. We enjoyed our week but would we go back, probably not.
