We have just spent a week here. A completely incredible hotel, with beautiful beach area and pools. There is so much space that even in high season none of the areas feel overly busy. The rooms have everything you would want or need, and are looked after twice a day everyday by lovely housekeeping service, thank you Butterfly and team. For us the most important thing is their ability to cater for our coeliac daughter. The team could not have been better. Thank you particularly to Vassilis and Georgia who every breakfast took an order from our daughter and her GF food came out promptly and was delicious. Every single restaurant has been fabulous, with clear understanding of cross contamination etc. They all had plenty of GF options, but would also explain what they could make GF with some changes. We’ve never stayed anywhere better for a coeliac diet.

The perfect place for couples and families. The rooms are at a high level of design. The location is perfect ! The cleanliness and the quality of services are awesome ! Third year here and still amazing as the first day !

The best hotel we have visit. The beach is an amazing privet paradise and the hotel is worth every penny!!! The food is amazing the cocktails incredible and the staff very professional.thank you very much Michalis kafousis

Food- 1 Star -Breakfast: many options at the buffet but nothing is fresh nor the correct temperature. Sunny side up eggs premade and sitting out for hours. this is a food safety concern . Lunch most days were inedible. -Chicken salad sandwich at the beach was good. -Received molded fruit in the fruit platter -Lobster roll was mostly shrimp, nowhere in the description was shrimp even mentioned at the price point it should be all lobster. Left resort for dinner every day of our star. Service-2.5 stars Check-in process was chaotic and poor, waited almost an hour. Representative would get distracted and starting talking to others and doing something in the middle of our check-in process. After long travel day a 5 star luxury resort would understand client need of wanting to get into the room and freshen up. We arrived hours beyond the check-in so not like we were early or asking for early check in. Location- 5 stars Elounda is beautiful. Went into towns for dinner and just loved it. Sea was perfect temperature as well. Rooms- 4 stars the rooms were good. Spacious, nice outdoor area. Part of our group were upgraded to rooms with outdoor area with a small plunge pool. the pool ice cold. Even the last week of June where the weather was 90F most days. The other Rooms were supposed to come with a whirlpool/jacuzzi HOWEVER, it was basically an outdoor bath tub that needed filling. waste of time. Facilities were also good. Outdoor Fitness center left much to be desired, not really for folks that are looking for a fitness/wellness forward resort.

The hotel is in fact a huge, sprawling resort split into various zones. We were upgraded to a luxury two-bedroom villa with a 10m private pool and huge terrace area. It was a long, steep walk to reception and invariably required calling one of the complimentary buggies to help transport us across the resort...but once you get into the swing of using the buggies there's no going back (all the buggy drivers we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful). The resort is very well equipped with a large outdoor gym, tennis court, and multiple pools. It also has direct access to a beautiful natural beach with views to Spinalonga (split into adult and family zones). This was our favourite place across the whole resort and provided excellent sheltered swimming. One of the major benefit of being in a residence villa is that the parking lot and resort exit gate are a short walk away. This made it easy for us to get in and out of the resort without having to head back to reception every time. Whilst on the face of it our villa was very impressive, it did have some flaws. The bathroom in particular was dark and poorly illuminated, and the small walk-in shower allowed water to spill out across the bathroom floor. On the plus side, all mod cons were included such as a coffee machine, small kitchenette, dish washer and washing machine. The housemaids were also brilliant, changing towels and replenishing water twice a day. We were staying on a half-board basis. The evening buffet at the Thólos restaurant was average but included a reasonable range of dishes. Breakfast was served here too and was also a Buffett. It wasn't quite up to the level experienced at the Domes Noruz Chania and service was also lacking. We also dined at the Makris fine dining restaurant one evening but have reviewed this separately as it was not good (half board only gives you a €20 per adult contribution towards the final bill which does not get you very far). We really did not like the Spa here. The indoor pool was relatively cold and the steam room was lacking any steam! Also, the steam room, sauna and laconium rooms were ridiculously dark...you basically had to announce yourself as you entered to ensure that you were not going to sit on someone. Overall, it was a much bigger resort than we had envisaged but with some major highlights including our wonderful villa and the beautiful beach. The main negatives for us centred around the food offerings.
