Enorme Santanna Island

A fantastically located hotel with great sea views & only 7 mins walk from the picturesque fishing village of Sissi. Food & drink was always plentiful & generally good quality. Staff always friendly & work very hard. Pool areas are generally nice & chilled with no drunks due to absence of swim up bars,sun beds a bit in short supply(possibly cos swim up rooms lack sun until 3pm) so an early towel drop is advisable. Room 2111 not great,too small,very little storage & a balcony view of car wash but in its favour was a stones throw to pool & Italian restaurant which does great lunchtime menu. Overall the hotel did a good job in repairing our faith in easyJet after a 17 hour delay at Gatwick. Would recommend if you want a very slow paced holiday,with great photo opportunities but very tame entertainment.

I have recently returned from my honeymoon in Enorme Santana Island and can say that overall we enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and clean and the food (especially at the buffet) was great. I do think that there were too many ‘negatives’ to confidently call this hotel 5 star. To name a few: 1. The queue for drinks at the main pool bar was usually pretty long and quite a wait, with only one person working. The pool service was bad, maybe once a day someone would come round and take drink orders. 2. We received a fruit platter in our room on arrival (which was lovely) but the cleaners didn’t take the empty plate away - the whole trip! We couldn’t leave outside due to bugs, and I do think expecting us to take it all the way to a restaurant is a bit much. So it sat on the side in the room. 3. We had one occasion where we had no towels in our room which resulted in a long queue in reception to ask for new ones. 4. No ice cream? Would’ve been nice by the pool. I think you could get one at the coffee bar but didn’t look great to be honest. I maybe saw two people with one. 6. Contrary to reviews I read before booking - staff didn’t make a great impression. It definitely didn’t seem they were trying to create a great guest experience. Nice enough - but expected more. Overall, the trip was nice due to the lovely setting and weather. But I don’t think we will return.

We are just about to return home from our honeymoon trip to this hotel. I honestly can’t fault this hotel. We booked a swim up suite which was located in the back block, our room had sun from around 12-6pm but a lot of them had much less. I think we did fall on pot luck. The rooms are stunning and super clean, bottle of water replaced everyday We aren’t normally all inclusive holiday people, but we’ve been so impressed by the standard of food at the restaurants. I can’t comment on the buffet as we have eaten out if we haven’t had a al a carte booked. Big shout out to ralph, who works so hard serving drinks to our swim up room each day.

Beautiful hotel with lots of positives. Bottle of water in your room every day and WiFi was amazing in all parts of the hotel. The staff were so nice especially the man by the snack bar by the smaller pool, he couldn’t do enough for you. We visited the roof top pool on the first day but went to the smaller pool all the other days and didn’t have an issue getting a sun bed, it was lovely and chill. Didn't attempt to go by the main pool as couldn’t be bothered to queue in the morning. We booked 2 of the à la carte restaurants during our stay which were lovely and visited the Italian snack bar and brunch & co during the day which were both great. The harbour is only a ten minute stroll and then a bit further along there are more bars /restaurants. The all inclusive drinks in the hotel are really nice especially the cocktails, not weak like some all inclusive hotels. The closest beach is a pebbly one, ten minutes away and there is a sandy one a further 20 minute walk. The buffet restaurant food was great on the morning but sometimes the evening was bit repetitive and would probably say not quite 5 star but still very nice. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

we’ve just arrived home after 10 nights at santanna island and we had a lovely break! the hotel is beautiful and can tell that this is their main selling point, the hotel itself looks like the 5 stars it has but i would have to disagree with the rating and say it reflects a 4 stars hotel at most. for reference we stayed in a double room and were a young couple. starting with positives: - some staff were very attentive and extremely friendly and really made our stay as good as it was (anastasis the bartender in aperol bar, tatiana who worked alongside anastasis, ralph at the pool at the snack bar, and dimitris at the late buffet), HUGE assets to the hotel and management should be very proud of these staff members - the al a cartes were all really good, beautiful location, beautiful food, and really great service from all staff present - drinks options on the all inclusive were brilliant and makes paying for all inclusive worth it - didn’t have any issues getting sun loungers in the day, even with people queueing at the main and tanning pool - great check in experience with a glass of sparkling wine on arrival and a buggy to our room which included a short tour of the hotel - entertainment was brilliant and we had entertainment for most nights of our stay which really made a difference - the girls working in the roasta bar in the evening are constantly helping guests and are brilliant assets to the hotel. the negatives of our stay: - the cleaning at the hotel was quite frankly abysmal, our duvet cover was stained at arrival with a brown substance and was not changed for our entire stay, body towels had sharpie writing on them, it’s a very basic clean of the room (understanding that it’s a large hotel with many rooms to get cleaned but it’s a basic expectation to have the room cleaned to a certain standard). we also came back to our room some days with the same glass at our bedside table not been replaced which is a general expectation, especially when it’s a few days in a row - we must’ve found about 30 pool tiles within a few days, so watch your feet in the pool because my partner cut his foot - some staff at the main restaurant had very poor attitude towards some guests and some staff, i didn’t catch names but i think a middle aged woman asking a young guest if she owns any clothes as she had a crop top on isn’t really the best approach. supervisors in restaurant were heard shouting at the staff which just isn’t a good reflection of the treatment of some staff and doesn’t represent the image the hotel seems to want - a small one but for a newly finished hotel we had cracks all in our bathroom sink and shower buttons had fallen off when we first went to use shower, just little things that shouldn’t be happening. don’t get me wrong, there are major issues that need improving in this hotel in our opinion, but we still had a lovely stay with positive factors that overcame the listed issues above. check out this morning was quick, but too quick, just took our keys and said we are done, no questions about our stay which i was a little gutted because i hate to speak out negatively but if asked i would’ve raised some concerns.
