Gouves Water Park Holiday

The "maisonettes" are just close to the septic tanks, so we had to smell excrement every day, at every moment. So happy to spend so much money for that. It is simply unacceptable for the resort to be aware of the situation and do nothing about it. A noisy experience: there's no space in this resort — everything is compacted into a small area, so you have to enjoy the noise of the open-air restaurant, the delivery trucks (beeping when reversing) right above your head, and a plane at 400 m altitude every five minutes. In high season, finding a spot on a sun lounger is very difficult — also unacceptable. Low-quality food and beverages: sodas are not premium international brands but local substitutes, and forget about the taste of real fruit juice at the bar or restaurant — it's a disgusting chemical concoction with a maximum amount of sugar. As for the all-inclusive wine... no words, sorry :-(. All the cocktails are drowned in soda, poured into plastic cups. The food is decent, but the mantra is quantity, not quality. At least the staff is kind and does its best. It simply is not worth the money you spend for it. Last time in this place for us.

Great family resort, rooms spacious and clean, plenty of pools to choose from. Waterpark onsite smaller than others but enough to keep 4 teenagers entertained. Maria (pool bar) was excellent, really friendly and helpful!

Lovely massage by Albora in the spa, Listened to the pressure I wanted and the areas to concentrate on. I feel nice and relaxed for the rest of my holiday! Thank you Albora!

Maria in the poolside bar was everything you would hope from a staff member - pleasant, courteous and always happy to chat. A lovely lady who didn’t have to be so nice but it certainly made a difference. The other staff were great too, but not up to the standards of Maria.
