Buckle up for a long one! Exceptional from start to finish – a great holiday! We stayed for 14 nights and had an absolutely wonderful time. We arrived late at Grecotel LUXME White to find a bottle of wine and freshly made sandwiches waiting in our room, which was such a thoughtful welcome after travelling. Our Ocean View Swim-Up room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. While there are a few bits that could benefit from a little refreshing, it was incredibly comfortable and certainly didn't detract from our stay. One thing that surprised us was how compact the hotel was, much more than I had imagined, but that's actually one of its strengths, everything is within easy reach, giving it a relaxed, boutique feel rather than feeling like a spread out complex. There are quite a few steps, although there are also lifts and ramps available, so accessibility has clearly been considered. This didn’t impact us and we enjoyed the should we go up or down to get to places! The food deserves a review all of its own. Quite simply, every single meal was exceptional. From the buffet to every à la carte restaurant, the quality was consistently outstanding. The White was fabulous, a really special dining experience, Agreco Farm was also an unforgettable experience—beautiful surroundings with incredible food, both in quality and generosity (be prepared for a lot of food and amazing views). Asia White and Tavernaki were equally fantastic (the Tavernaki BBQ at lunch was (great too). If you enjoy great food, you'll be in heaven and I can’t forget Fico de India (the Italian!) which we ate at most as it was great for lunch and dinner. One of the biggest advantages of our Swim-Up room was having our own sunbeds and direct access to additional loungers, including the pergola beds, the peace and relaxation from not having to rush for beds was wonderful. The main pool was understandably popular and could become busy by 9.30, although we noticed the quieter pool usually had available beds. Having the Swim-Up certainly added an extra touch of luxury to our stay as we didn’t need to worry about ‘getting a bed’. The staff are what truly made this holiday special though. Every single person we met was warm, friendly, professional and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay memorable. Nothing was ever too much trouble and the level of service was among the very best we've experienced anywhere. A huge thank you to everyone for your kindness, hard work and sense of fun—you really are a credit to the hotel. We could call people out but there would be too many, there was not one bad experience. Long Beach Bar became one of our favourite spots - staff shout out! - and the Sunset Bar was another highlight, service in both was always quick, drinks flowed freely and, true to its name, as you may expect, the sunsets at Sunset Bar were absolutely spectacular. We generally chose to eat early, although if I visited again I'd probably dine a little later simply because it's cooler. That said, wherever we ate, meals were always relaxed, never rushed and accompanied by plenty of excellent wine! Shout out to the sommelier! A special mention also goes to the WhatsApp guest relations service, which was absolutely brilliant. Whether before we arrived or during our stay, every question or request was answered almost instantly. It made everything effortless and is a fantastic addition to an already outstanding guest experience. The beach is quite stony in places, making it a little difficult to walk on, so if spending all day on a sandy beach is your priority, it's worth bearing that in mind. However, with everything else the resort has to offer, it really wasn't an issue for us. Even after 14 nights we never ran out of things to enjoy, although next time we'd probably stay for 7–10 nights simply because that's the perfect amount of time to savour everything. We noticed lots of guests enjoying even shorter five-night breaks too which could be an option although the hour by private transfer (so not sure what the coach would be) would make that too short in my opinion. Each morning we would go for a walk (stroll), there isn’t much around but turning left as you leave the hotel gives you a pleasant walk to the nearest village and when we got back we would head to the ice cream/waffle area and enjoy some fabulous sweet treat with loads to choose from. So, to summarise, if you're looking for exceptional food, premium drinks, beautiful surroundings and some of the friendliest, hardest-working people you'll ever meet, I honestly couldn't recommend Grecotel LUXME White highly enough. We will definitely be back.
poor food, and food is an essential part of the holiday experience, esp if you eat VERY WELL at home
We have just come back from the lovely Grecotel LUXME White in Crete. I can honestly say it was the first holiday in years that I came back feeling so so relaxed.. The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were lovely and everything was immaculate. I loved the evening entertainment, which was a combination of sax player, live singers and just felt like a lovely environment. Service was outstanding and all the teams there couldn't do enough for you. I just wanted to say a special thank you to Stavroula and Dimitra in Guest Services, Charlotte the incredibly knowledgeable Sommelier (who we chatted to every evening) and in the restaurant the lovely Chrissa and George who greeted us every day.. George has been there for 51 years and seems to be just like a part of the furniture. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Thank you - we will be back.
Our family stay at the LUXME White was fantastic. The staff (Maria in the lounge bar, Yanas at the activity pool, Elda was everywhere to name a few) were awesome. The food, atmosphere and location exceeded all of our expectations. We contacted the hotel before arrival to book the restaurants after reading other reviews which helped securing our reservations.
We spent a wonderful 10-night summer vacation at the Grecotel Luxme White hotel, Crete. The hotel’s standout feature is its prime seafront location, offering tranquility, the soothing sound of the sea waves, and the most beautiful spectacular views of sunsets from the hotel balconies. We thoroughly enjoyed the comfortable amenities offered by the hotel, and the variety of restaurants serving delicious dishes from diverse international cuisines, offering a wide range of exquisite delicious meals, and a wide selection of flavors to suit every taste. We must also acknowledge the dedicated hotel staff—from the reception team and restaurant staff to the housekeeping crew—for their tireless efforts to ensure guest comfort. We also appreciated and enjoyed the nightly different entertainment programmes. We would like to specifically mention some of the staff members whose service and dedication made our stay so enjoyable: Georgios Christolakis at the main buffet restaurant who daily welcomes and greets us with a nice chat and big smile and shows us to our table. At the main buffet restaurant: Elene whose cheerful spirit and dedication to preparing delicious meals were truly memorable, Nico, Chrysa and Froso who demonstrated great respect and commitment to guest service and satisfaction. We greatly enjoyed the pastries, assorted breads, and delicious Italian pizza prepared by Mirco, the highly skilled and exceptional bakery chef. We can’t forget the team at the Sunset Bar: Elpida, Mai and the three Marias, whose kindness and attentiveness to guest comfort were outstanding. We would also like to thank Evangelia the Housekeeping Manager , for her constant attention to the cleanliness of our room and for promptly fulfilling all our requests and needs. We are pleased to mention the Assistant Housekeeping Manager Anna who—whenever we crossed paths—would kindly offer her assistance and check if we needed anything regarding the hotel or our room specifically. We also appreciate Dimitra, the Guest Services Manager, for her constant communication and efforts to secure the perfect room for our needs. We would also like to specifically mention Chrysanthi from the reception team, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating in extending our check-out time. We highly recommend this truly wonderful and magnificent hotel to anyone planning a lovely vacation, choosing it is a decision you certainly won't regret. We extend our deepest thanks to the hotel and its outstanding staff.
