Quick summary: a fantastic, modern hotel with excellent food (choice as well as quality), brilliant amenities, comfortable beds, sparkling clean bedrooms and public areas, and the jewel in the Grecotel LUX-ME hotel crown: the smiley, friendly, polite and professional staff who can’t do enough for you. The epistle: Where do I start reviewing this beautiful hotel where we’ve just spent a fabulous 10 days as a family group, comprising Mum, Dad, 14 year old girl, 10 year old boy and Grannie & Grandad both in their seventies. We had Room 621 which is a family garden apartment at the end of the hotel consisting of 2 bathrooms with walk in shower, a spacious hallway with two hanging spaces and two bedrooms, one with twin beds off the hallway through an arch and the other a separate bedroom with a door containing a super king bed. My parents had Room 364 which was a swim up room closer to Reception, with a garden view so therefore had a bath with a shower over it. In future we’d book them a room with a walk in shower. Both rooms had all you need for a holiday (including robes, slippers, fridge and toiletries) although we had brought additional coat hangers with us, which we were glad of. The swim up pool was deep so unfortunately they barely used it and we all mainly sat by the main pool or the activity/children’s pool (linked to the main pool area via a corridor of rooms). We also spent a lot of time playing bat and ball in the gorgeous sea. The loungers, especially around the main pool, are divine, with a thick mattress and pillow, as well as being nicely spaced out. Despite the spacing out however, there are lots of places to sit if you’re flexible and this is, in large part, to the fantastic sun-bed policy that is not only operated by the hotel, but actually enforced by the brilliant pool staff. There are signs everywhere highlighting the policy which is that you can’t reserve sun loungers by leaving them unattended before 10.30am or, after 10.30am, by leaving them unattended for longer than 50 minutes - in both cases, any possessions will be removed, including towels. It is a fair policy which prevents people putting towels on beds and then leaving them to go to breakfast, and the fact this is actually enforced is refreshing. Some people of course try their luck, but the staff are fantastic and utterly professional and, quite rightly, won’t take any nonsense, especially from rude, entitled people who think the policy doesn’t apply to them - and even those who tried to bribe them!! Literally unbelievable! Huge thanks to ALL the pool staff who work so hard to keep everyone well fed and watered and who are so attentive, especially in such high temperatures - a special shout out goes to both Giannis at the activity pool and Antonis at the main pool, both of whom are so polite, hard working, professional and brilliant at their jobs. The quality and choice of food is some of the best we’ve ever had in one hotel, and we’ve been lucky enough to have all travelled extensively. We emailed the hotel in advance to sort out our restaurant bookings (my parents don’t like eating late) and Marilena in guest services was just so helpful and gave us a taste of the high class customer service we could expect even before we set foot in Crete. It was a delight to meet her in person on arrival and her colleagues were similarly fantastic during our stay. The children made good use of the creperie and we all loved the gelateria and the concept of the à la carte restaurants (mixed starters for the table then a choice of main) worked well, as did the children’s menu available in every restaurant. The buffet restaurant was also excellent and had a wide variety of food on a daily basis, as well as the usual staples. The food was hot and freshly cooked and the quality exceptional. Again, ALL the staff in each and every restaurant were so attentive and friendly, but special shout out must go to Mr Georgios, who always greeted us with a smile and exceptional customer service. All told, we’ve had a brilliant holiday and have never felt that two days were the same, such is the variety of places to chill and relax. The watersports area was also excellent with lovely staff, and we were able to hire jetskis as well as have a turn on the “sofa”. The cleaning staff also do a superb job with all areas looking pristine. The only thing to be aware of is that the Tavernaki restaurant has a couple of resident cats (not great if you’re phobic) and the music can be loud in the sunset bar, which is annoying if you want to just have background music whilst you play cards and chat after dinner. But otherwise it’s wonderful and definitely worth the expense - if you’re looking for an AI hotel with fantastic amenities, quality food and excellent customer service, please don’t hesitate to book the Grecotel LUX-ME White in Crete. Huge thanks to everyone who works there for giving us such a special holiday.
Just left the amazing Grecotel LuxME White having moved hotel after a terrible experience at another hotel in Crete. We were welcomed to the hotel by Victoria who saved our holiday. She made everything easy and the service from her and the team was 5 star. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. All inclusive means all inclusive - there are no hidden charges and the quality of the food and drinks is amazing. Guest services are consistently checking on you to make sure you are having a great stay. We stayed in one of the swim up pool rooms near the beach which must have been the best room in the hotel as we could access the beach a few steps away from our pool (shared with a few other families). There are also rooms with private pools. The disco was a highlight on the Friday evening - in the bar which has the most amazing sunsets. The bar staff are constantly topping up drinks, bringing snacks. The best thing we have noticed compared to other all inclusive hotels was that there were very few restrictions on where to it (in fact none!) and my husband and I ate in fine dining at short notice. Finally - on our last day we had to leave at 8pm and the hotel gave us a brand new room (with sun beds and access to a shared pool) until 6pm. Amazing service. I can not recommend this hotel and the amazing staff enough. I could go on and on. We will be back! Thank you to everyone!!
Having stayed in a Grecotel in Kos ( all inclusive) the year before we were pretty confident on a lovely stay. My 18 yr old daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights. We had a swim up room which was absolutely lovely. Food was really good in particular breakfast was a feast!. Cleaning staff did an excellent job , unobtrusive but super cleaning job every day. My only criticism was that on arrival ( not my first rodeo) I asked about booking some of the different restaurants for our evening meal, they put us on standby for cancellations. They only managed to offer one evening at the al a carte White restaurant on out last night at 9pm. After further research we found that booking 7 days in advance was a requirement or at least strongly recommended. As we only stayed 5 nights and didn't realise this we had no chance at booking a restaurant which was a bit disappointing. Fortunately the Greek and Italian restaurants were open to walk ins most lunch times. Other than that the staff were really friendly, and we had a great holiday, which we thank you all for.
My partner and I stayed at Grecotel Luxme White for 11 nights in July for our Wedding. The hotel is stunning and the staff to greet you are so friendly. We were greeted by Nikoli who was brilliant. He organised a last minute table for us at one of the a la carte restaurants for the evening we arrived and then showed us to our room. The rooms are spacious, clean and the sea view was beautiful. The hotel has everything you need and the staff are extremely attentive. They absolutely went above and beyond to make our stay and our Wedding special for us. Dimitra (the guest services manager) ensured we had everything we needed during our stay and for the Wedding. We would also like to thank Stavroula and Nineta, they were so kind and could not do enough for us. Maria at the main bar was absolutely brilliant as always and made sure we were OK and had a drink. All the staff who looked after us on the day of our Wedding were absolutely fantastic, from the waiting on staff to the management, we could not have asked for a better day. The special touches in our room before & after the Wedding made everything feel truly special. Mr Kontorinis who is the general manager ensured we had the perfect stay and personally congratulated us, we cannot thank him and his team enough! See you next time!
We celebrated a wedding here. Everything was absolutely perfect just as we had imagined. Special thanks to our room cleaners especially Maria who surprised us ever day with her towel art!! 🥰
