GRECOTEL Meli Palace

My family of 7 adults stayed here for a week and we had a fantastic holiday. Yes rooms are basic but very clean and beds made every day and towels replaced Beach towels provided Hotel is fantastic and great access to private beach Staff are absolutely wonderful always cheerful and holding doors for you. Shoutout to Erato who gave us our initial introduction and greeted us most days at the restaurant. Food was great with lots of different main choices of Fish and Meat dishes each day, the salads were first class. Then there is the choice of Cocktails WOW I wasn't expecting premium brands and such a range included which we all really enjoyed. I would have liked more choices of beer as only 1 was available which was ok and was available on tap with the soft drinks. Coffee machines were excellent with the usual options. Beach bar was good offering a small range of snacks, ice creams and the full range of Cocktails but this time in paper cups. The evening entertainment was good at the Amphitheatre and Resturant bar, we all really enjoyed Oliver and Prince who were the stand out performers for us and the Cuban night. Both acts fantastic singers and great at getting the audience involved. We did snorkelling in the bay and there is loads of different fish, we even ventured out to the island and swam with a friendly sea turtle probably about a foot and a half long. I would like to thank the whole team for a great holiday and would not hesitate recommending this Hotel. 5 Stars from all of us

I recently stayed at Grecotel Meli Palace in Sissi, Crete as a solo traveler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is set in a beautiful beachfront location with stunning sea views and well-maintained gardens, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always happy to help and making me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The food was varied, fresh, and of good quality, with plenty of options at every meal. As a solo traveler, I appreciated the quiet environment and the opportunity to relax by the pool or beach. The nearby village of Sissi is charming and worth exploring, with lovely waterfront restaurants and cafés. While some of the rooms could benefit from modernization, they were clean, comfortable, and well cared for. One area that could be improved is the Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was intermittent at times and not always reliable. However, this did not significantly affect my overall enjoyment of the holiday. Overall, the excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and relaxing atmosphere more than made up for the minor shortcomings. I would highly recommend Grecotel Meli Palace to anyone looking for a peaceful holiday in Crete, especially solo travelers, couples, and those wanting to unwind by the sea.

The hotel was amazing. The staff was excellent. Special thanks to Nikoleta in the reception she was really helpful during our staying. The rooms very comfortable and the food really nice. I recommend it to everyone.

As others have indicated, the rooms could do with a makeover especially the bathrooms. The place could also do with another bar as even though there are 2, they don’t open at the same time so evenings were crowded with not many places to sit and the bar was really busy. The food is acceptable and nicely cooked but not a huge variety, mainly meat and salads. Having said all that, we had a lovely time, the staff were amazing, and the hotel is very clean and comfortable.

Chide this hotel for its family options. Bedroom with huge bed and bunk beds. Room is clean and comfortable although needs updating and decorating but hey, not in it much tbh. The hotel itself is immaculate. The staff, all of them are efficient and friendly and go above and beyond. The food is very tasty with lots of options. The grounds are beautiful kept. Kids club which was attended by my 9 year old and 5 year old was very well run. Evening entertainment 8-9 for the kids was great and after that was very pleasant. All inclusive includes cocktails which is a plus. Beach is right in front of you and is private to the hotel. Beach shoes are a MUST as the stones/rocks once in the sea are excruciatingly painful. Downsides: as I said, rooms are tired. And those bloody rocks. Small pool could have been bigger as it got pretty full. Great place for families. Had a lovely stay!
