We travel a lot, all over the world, and we’ve stayed in many excellent hotels, including some truly luxurious ones. Because of that, we very rarely take the time to write reviews. But Istron Bay Hotel deserves one. We came as a group of eight people – two families with children – and every single one of us left with exactly the same impression. We didn’t just enjoy our holiday; we genuinely felt welcomed from the moment we arrived until the day we left. The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is stunning, with a wonderful private beach and crystal-clear sea. The rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent, and everything is well organized. But what makes this place truly exceptional is not the buildings or the view. It’s the people. During our stay we met so many wonderful members of the team, and every single one of them made us feel that our happiness genuinely mattered. A special thank you to Yiannis, Michalis, Katerina, Petros and Anastasios, who were always smiling, kind, professional and ready to help. Every conversation with them felt natural and sincere rather than simply part of their job. But what impressed us even more is that this wasn’t limited to just a few outstanding employees. The same warmth and positive attitude could be found everywhere – at the bars, in the restaurant, on the beach, by the pool, at the water sports center, with the animation team and throughout the entire hotel. We honestly cannot remember another hotel where every department worked with the same genuine enthusiasm and kindness. As guests, you can immediately feel when people are simply doing their job and when they truly enjoy making others happy. At Istron Bay Hotel, it was definitely the second. Our children felt comfortable, the adults felt relaxed, and all eight of us kept saying throughout the week that this hotel had something very special. It wasn’t just the facilities—it was the atmosphere created by the people. In today’s world, many hotels invest in luxury, design and amenities. Those things are important, but they can all be copied. Genuine hospitality cannot. The management of Istron Bay Hotel should be incredibly proud of the team they have built. They are the reason guests leave with smiles and the reason people want to return. Thank you to every single member of the staff—not only those we mentioned by name, but everyone who contributed to making this one of the most enjoyable holidays we’ve ever had. We arrived as guests. We left feeling like friends. We will definitely return.

Old hotel with special atmosphere, perfect room cleansing service and restaurant service.. Romantic beatiful beach views. They rate themselve 5 stars, but it is max 3-4 due to waste around. The beach and sea is full of plastic waste, microplasts on beach, better to no breath during wind… . Horrible death sea wather. Hotel has nice decorated paths but many “hidden” areas with acumulated trash too. Drink watter from plastic bottles only. The plast in sea. No reason to come back for stay.

5 stars from the Romanins ISTRON BAY = the definition of "oasis". We arrived tired in Agios Nikolaos, we've been here for a few days and thanks to the massage therapy we're getting a complete reset! The therapist's hands, knowledge and energy seem to read your muscles and melt away tension built up over years. Stunning location, peace, people with soul. If you want a place where body and mind reset, this is it. We'll definitely be back, here you heal. I'll say it again: Prof. Manolis Kouzarakis' massage is next level: pure magic. Small check-in mix-up with the room category, but the team fixed it promptly and we got the sea view room we’d paid for. After that, everything was perfect!

We have a wonderful stay at the Istron Bay Hotel and can enjoy this house Recommend without reservation. The location is simply fantastic - right on a beautiful bay with a fantastic view of the sea. At the same time, the hotel is an ideal starting point for numerous excursions in the area, so you can see the beauty of Crete Can discover perfectly. We would especially like to emphasise the extraordinary friendliness of the entire staff. You feel from the first moment Welcome and well looked after. A big thank you goes to the head waiter and his entire team. With their professionalism, warmth and attention, they have made every restaurant visit a special experience. You can feel that hospitality here is not just a word, but a lived passion Is. If you want to have relaxation, a dreamlike scenery and real Service is the right place at the Istron Bay Hotel.
