We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and cheerful, and the food was absolutely delicious. On our last day, we unfortunately had a small accident – our child accidentally damaged some bathroom equipment. We were charged €100 for the damage, which we completely understood. However, a few weeks later, the hotel contacted us to let us know that the actual repair cost was lower and they refunded the remaining amount. This level of honesty and customer care is truly exceptional and shows how much this hotel values its guests. We highly appreciate their professionalism and integrity. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable. We would be happy to return and highly recommend this hotel to others! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I regret having to write this review, as the majority of my stay was wonderful. The hotel was modern, clean and well maintained, the facilities were good, and the location was ideal—quiet enough to relax, yet only a five-minute walk from the Old Town. Unfortunately, my overall experience was completely overshadowed by the way I was treated after some of my personal belongings went missing from my room. I had a small bag containing souvenirs and jewellery worth over £100, which had been sitting on the desk/shelf for most of my stay. On the final night, I noticed it had disappeared. I genuinely believe this was an honest mistake rather than theft, as I had items of much greater value in the room that were not touched. My assumption was that the cleaner had accidentally mistaken the bag for rubbish, despite it being nowhere near the bin, while actual rubbish beside it had been left behind. When I first reported this to reception, the receptionist was kind, sympathetic and as helpful as she could be. She explained that the bins had already been collected, meaning it was unlikely the bag could be recovered, and suggested speaking to the manager the following morning. The following morning, my partner spoke with the manager, whose response was incredibly dismissive. Rather than showing any concern or attempting to investigate, he implied the situation was our fault and simply advised us to contact the police before abruptly ending the conversation. When we returned to check out, another receptionist apologised initially but then began questioning us in a way that felt accusatory, implying we had fabricated the situation. I made it clear that I wasn't expecting compensation—I simply wanted someone to acknowledge that a mistake had likely been made and offer an apology. The manager approached and was extremely condescending. As I tried to express my emotion, I was told to calm down. Despite me being the person who had reported the issue, he repeatedly directed his responses to my male partner rather than me, refusing to engage with me directly. Throughout the interaction, I felt spoken down to, blamed and treated as though I was being dishonest. Losing my belongings was disappointing, but mistakes happen. What ultimately ruined my stay was not the missing items, it was the complete lack of empathy, accountability and professionalism shown afterwards. Had the staff handled the situation with understanding and respect, I would likely still have left with a positive impression of the hotel. Instead, I left feeling upset, dismissed and unfairly accused.
