Location is great. Though recently refurbished it needs tweaking. The room I'm in is small, no view apart from a blank wall opposite (maybe see if you get a mural painted), the bathroom needs a handrail in the shower especially if you are non too steady, as it is all marble. There are no full length wardrobe or drawers. No rubbish bin for normal waste. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired (if you are looking for cereal, full English, then this is the place). The layout of the breakfast area is cramped and congested. Bed is very comfortable room clean sheets good.

Arrived late about 2am and e mailed pre requesting if we could have a sandwich or something to snack on , when we got took to the restaurant for said request what was presented looked awful so declined and went to the room . We had booked 12 nights in a Promotion Double room and what we got was a room you couldn't swing a cat in with a wash basin in the bedroom & hardly any storage space you would need for a longer holiday. When we woke in the morning after sleeping on top of the bed my partner noticed long black hairs on the bed sheet, on closer inspection the bed was covered in them - so straight down to reception to complain, but to be fair we were moved rooms later that day which was a big improvement. Now the food & restaurant, the space where the food was put was no where near big enough for the amount of people and quality was poor & limited where the majority of food seems to be prepared of site and warmed up , so once it's gone it's gone , so if you were late coming down there was not much to choose from which we witnessed on several occasions so eat out the majority of the holiday . Our first night for evening meal there was only table service for drinks and requested a bottle of water and were served a standard 1 litre plastic bottle @ cost of 2 euro . We visited the supermarket across the road and could purchase 5 bottles for that price so a total rip off . So all in all the hotel is in a great location and not bad rooms if cleaned right and ideal for a couple of nights , anything longer be prepared to be spending money eating out . The bar on the rooftop was unmanned majority of our stay with signs up asking no food or drinks from outside, someone appeared on the second week where only beer was available in a small plastic cup at a cost of 5.5 euros , we did take our own up .

The hotel is well situated for the old town. The rooms are ok .the food is repetitive and boring.the pool and sun beds are fine. The hotel has absolutely no where suitable to have a shower I f you can’t keep your room if you have a late flight ,there is an open shower for the pool no privacy at all.really feel this is not acceptable. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. A poor end to a holiday when you can’t have a shower and wash and dry your hair before a late flight.

Overall, a good-quality hotel with the old town and sandy beach nearby. The restaurant has a limited Buffett selection of food. Dinner is okay, but drinks are charged extra. There is also a small pool bar on the rooftop, which is a great place to relax.

Jo-An Palace este un hotel de 4 stele situat în inima orașului Rethymno, din Creta.
