Kalypso Cretan Village

A truly beautiful hotel with a peaceful atmosphere and very clean, cozy rooms. The service was excellent — the staff were kind, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

We've just finished a lovely relaxing family holiday. The complex is built into the side of cliffs and in a spectacular location. This does mean that there are lots of steps and steep ramps throughout. So, bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. The staff here are incredibly friendly and cannot do enough for you. Especially the Restaurant Manager Panagiotis and all of his team. The food was great with a huge variety in buffet for for all meals. The rooms may be considered as a little basic. But we were perfectly happy with our room for the price, which was cleaned daily. In fact, you can see the staff working hard daily to keep the whole site spotlessly clean. We visited mid May. It was fairly quiet. Great for us. Even if it was busier, there are several pools, with loads of comfortable loungers and plenty of quieter places you can go to. The added bonus was a short walk down to Kalypso Bay. Great for swimming and snorkeling. There is a Dive School there as well. So, we squeezed in a SCUBA dive as well. We had a great stay and would be happy to come again. P.S. If you like animals, you'll love the cats and daft goats too!

Cozy and clean room with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the overall stay was very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was nice. I would happily stay here again.
