Kalypso Cretan Village

Our friends go very regularly to this village and have done so for a number of years.It was our first visit. The village is set in an amazing site, backed by cliffs , very quiet and close to very good walking but really on its own (for those that want it that is a unique and special treat). The hotel is a family run affair that has been set on this site for many years. The good points: The site, the staff who are all really smiley and happy to help in any way. The swimming pools are very good, one very large one and 2 or 3 others in different areas. They are always spotlessly clean and use sea water. There is a super area where divers go and with a small inlet that is rather deep and opens out into the sea. There is a small bay in another area for a good deep water swims right on the hotel site. Everything is beautifully cleaned Plenty of parking, Large sized rooms with TV, and a fridge. And an on site small supermarket and games room. Nightly programme of entertainment for those that want it. A cafe beach bar. Things to note: It is a hotel that is on a great site but it is slightly tired but always immaculately clean - so if you want really superb bathrooms you will be disappointed. The beds and linen etc are okay but again not top of the range…but be fair about the price you are paying. The meals are buffet style with a range of choices, but again on the basic side. There are always a range of breads, some hot food, some pastries, some fresh fruit etc The lunch and evening meals always include a range of diverse salads some cooked food, proteins in various forms, vegetarian options but again basic. The desserts include fresh fruit and some little puddings and ice cream or pastries. So a lot to be aware of but also enjoy.

We stayed at this complex and were pleased with the grounds and the sea. We would especially like to highlight the hotel staff—everyone was sincere and friendly. The rooms were clean and tidy. We will definitely be back again.🥰🥰🥰

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful four-star hotel. The rooms were exceptionally spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean, and very well maintained, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also had the opportunity to enjoy both breakfast and dinner at the buffet, and we were genuinely impressed. The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with high-quality ingredients, with plenty of variety to choose from. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. We would definitely return and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and warm hospitality.
