Mary Royal Suites

We have just returned from a weeks stay here and we are already looking at when we can return. All of the staff are so friendly and welcoming, in particular Stella, George and the lovely lady on reception (sorry can’t remember all the names). George makes a lovely cocktail, Stella was so accommodating, she even went out of her way to get me some Aloe Vera plant extract to soothe my sunburn ☺️ and the lovely lady on reception helped us book taxi’s and day trips. The location is superb, 5 minutes from the beach, 5 mins walk to the local tavernas which were lovely and then a 10 minute drive to Rethymno. The sun bed situation wasn’t too much of an issue, you could usually get one at anytime of the day. The breakfast had a great selection of tasty home cooked food and local produce with a welcome smile and greeting every morning. If I had to pick fault with anything it would be a few minor issues with the room such as the door in the bathroom did not fully close and the toilet roll holder fell off the wall as not secured on fully but it didn’t cause an issue during our stay so felt we didn’t need to mention it until leaving just in case they were not aware. The location of the room was fantastic though, the pool a couple of feet away and close to the bar. Also just to mention the hard work of housekeeping as they brought us fresh towels every day and the room was spotless. We can’t wait to return soon, thank you for a fantastic week 🥰

We have just got back from a weeks holiday at the Mary Hotel. We arrived in the afternoon and Sophia greeted us on arrival, George offered us a welcome drink. First impressions were very good. Sophia showed to our room which was spotlessly clean and had a wow factor. Unfortunately it was one with the stairs up to the bedroom. As we are both of an age where we get up frequently in the night we did have some concerns of going up and downstairs. If the bathroom had been upstairs it would not have been a problem. I went to see Sophia and explained the situation and asked if there was a possibility to change to a room without stairs. She checked and fortunately there was, there was a genuine concern to meet our needs, a sign of a customer first ethic which we saw all week while there. The room we moved too was spacious, well equipped, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. We were made welcome each time we returned to the hotel. George on the bar was professional and friendly, ensuring we had a drink at the bar before we went out and on our return. The hotel is 5 minutes from the beach, and there are some lovely restaurants in easy walking distance. I didn’t get to know the names of the other staff we met but all were of the same quality, welcoming and professional. I highly recommend this hotel, you will not be disappointed.

I came across this hotel for a two day work trip. A huge sell initially (besides the fact that the hotel itself is stunning ) is that there was a parking lot right across from the hotel which is so convenient and very rare here in Rethymno. The location is centrally located close to lots of shops, the super market and great cafes and restaurants. Everyone at the hotel was so friendly and accommodating from the first phone call when booking to the moment I left. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. I slept so well both nights, the mattresses were extremely comfortable. If I am ever in need to stay in that area again I will definitely choose this place!

We stayed here for the first time in May - it certainly won't be our last visit! We were so impressed, we couldn't fault anything. The team are all wonderful, the entire property is kept spotlessly clean, the location is fantastic and the breakfast is extremely good. We were so comfortable here and really didn't want to leave! hank you to the team for a fabulous stay, can't wait to return!

We returned earlier this week from our seventh stay at Mary Hotel and as always had a fabulous holiday, we were very sad to leave and really wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome, the hospitality, clean and spacious rooms, beautiful pools, the general cleanliness of the hotel, delicious breakfasts and very friendly, helpful staff and owners are just some of the things that makes this hotel outstanding and a very special place. Mary Hotel is in a perfect location with the bus stops, taxi rank, supermarket, gift shops and some very good tavernas just a few steps away at the top of the road. The beach is just a couple of minutes walk, at the bottom of the road. Mary Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the island but if you just want chill out it has a tranquil atmosphere and is very peaceful at night. A special ‘thank you’ to Kwnstantinos and Jenny for their kindness and the generosity shown to us and our friends. We will be back!
