Mirabello Bay Luxury Resort (ex. Wyndham Grand Crete Mirabello Bay)

What a place! Just had an unbelievable week here with my family. The hotel grounds are scenic everywhere you go. The food is very good at the main restaurant, they have plenty of variety and kids always had something to eat. We also eat at the main restaurants, the Italian is very nice and in a great location with views, the bar & grill is top too for lunches. The Greek restaurant on the marina is very nice as well. The pools were also brilliant, plenty of sun beds, we did come out of term time. The water park is great, again you will never go hungry as their where plenty of snacks and refreshments. The main pool is also massive, all staff are great. Regardless of the request they will do their best to accommodate. One thing abroad is usually loads of flies and wasp, didn’t see much here at all. Hotel is incredibly clean. There is 2 beaches, very clear water as well as football pitch for children too. Entertainment is okay, no big massive shows but still enough to keep kids entertained and was fairly chilled which I preferred could have a good drink without it being mental of a night like other resorts. The kids like to just play in the sand next to us most nights. There’s plenty of bars and places to drink, couldn’t applaud all staff enough. What a place, from the UK and recommend if you after a relaxing holiday this is the place. Would recommend getting a pool in your room too!

Great restaurant with great food and thanks to Becky for her good personality

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Zeus Elea Mirabello Bay for seven nights, and unfortunately it was one of the most disappointing holidays we've ever had.
We're honestly not hard to please at all. We've stayed in several 4-star hotels in the past and have been so happy with them, so we were really looking forward to staying somewhere advertised as 5-star. We also read some of the negative reviews before booking but assumed people were just being overly fussy. After staying here ourselves, we can confidently say those reviews were telling the truth.
The cleanliness of the hotel was shocking. The pools were absolutely freezing and clearly not heated, making them unpleasant to use. On top of that, they were incredibly dirty, with thick green limescale around the edges. Our room floor was dirty, and housekeeping was incredibly poor. We weren't given clean towels for two days, despite me repeatedly going to reception to ask. It shouldn't take multiple complaints to receive something as basic as fresh towels.
 The restaurants were another huge disappointment. The food was consistently poor, with very little variety or quality. The whole dining experience felt chaotic. You'd walk into the buffet and find dirty plates and cutlery left on tables, with no staff greeting guests, helping people find a table, or making sure clean cutlery and mugs were available. When we asked where we could get a clean mug, we were looked up and down as though we were asking a ridiculous question. All of our food was always cold and tasted worse than school dinners.
The service throughout the hotel was incredibly poor. Most of the staff came across as rude and uninterested, and communication was difficult as many spoke very limited English. Rather than feeling welcomed, we often felt like we were inconveniencing them just by asking for basic things.
 Another thing that really summed up the service was in the Greek restaurant. After finishing our starter, the staff simply placed our used knife and fork, still covered in tomato sauce, back on top of a clean napkin for us to use with our main course instead of providing fresh cutlery. It's a small detail, but it's completely unacceptable for a hotel claiming to be 5-star.
 Then, on our last day, we booked a courtesy room for 6:00 pm because we were due to be picked up at 7:00 pm. We didn't get given the room until 6:25 pm, and the staff were so rude about the whole situation, saying there was nothing they could do because the previous guest wasn't ready. 
There was also no entertainment the whole week we were there. There was nowhere to watch the World Cup other than a dirty old conference room they tried to send us to, which was pitch black. Even when we asked where this room was, they simply pointed towards it as though it was obvious and never took us there. We then realised the reason we couldn't find it was because it was closed and all the lights were turned off.
 Overall, this hotel fell far below the standard we expected. It was dirty, the food was poor, and the service was some of the worst we've experienced. We left feeling extremely disappointed and wishing we'd listened to the negative reviews before booking.
 The only good part about it was the views. Unfortunately, I would not recommend Mirabello Bay to anyone. The bad reviews are accurate, and based on our experience, this hotel is nowhere near deserving of its 5-star rating. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Beautiful place, sandy beach, friendly personal, tasty food, good rooms, pools and aquapark slopes. Everything you need for good family vacation. Animation team was not the best, but they do what they can ;) The evening show programs was good enough. So, big thanks for hotel teams! The only thing we could mention as a disadvantage was a coffee taste. No single expresso machine in all hotel! In the main restaurant coffee taste was not good. In lobby bar, just a little better. IMHO it is not OK, when guests must go to nearest caffe to get a cup of normal cappuccino.
