Silva Beach

Hotel beautiful, location was great. Bar staff top bar was friendly. The pool lower bar gentleman was rude and at time disrespectful to new guest about all inclusive drinks. The normal chaos of 6am sun bed rush, broken, old beds but some are newer hence showed up the old ones. Restaurant had two additional ones attached Italian and tex mex both very nice and great menu choice. The main buffet restaurant had a good selection of food if not a little repetitive. My main issues was the poor food labelling to say it was hit and miss would be fair. The staff have no idea what’s in the food, labels said no nuts to only find pistachio on the base of the cake. I asked the chef who also wasn’t sure and admitted some cake bases were brought in not made at the hotel, I’d almost rather no labelling than sloppy half hearted labelling which meant twice I almost ate something dangerous to me. The two day time entertainment guys were brilliant made the holiday but as for night entertainment non existent very difficult to really say it offers anything after hours. The pools open at 10am which is so late, most are 0830 am - 0900am and then to shut at 6pm when u offer no other real entertainment is a bit daft. Would I stay again, probably as hotel setting and hotel design itself was gorgeous but I’d properly not go all inclusive .

We liked Silva Beach. It's not great, but it is good. I wouldn’t go back. But if I did I wouldn’t get the all inclusive package except maybe breakfast. The food is good, and there is a good variety. It’s not great. The Italian restaurant was pretty bad. We didn’t try the mexi burger restaurant. So there is essentially only one restaurant. A buffet. If you like coffee with cream you are out of luck. The milk is boxed and it’s awful and there is no cream. There is no real juice. But there are a lot of options for the food. Sometimes there are long lines but usually not. If you are used to Punta cana or Cancun all inclusives you may be disappointed with the food. The drinks are really bad. The liquor is bottom shelf. You can pay extra for different alcohol. You cant get frozen blended drinks. I asked for a shot of tequila and it was Raki, a kind of awful local alcohol. I feel like that was in most of the drinks no matter what they were. The staff was nice. Not super friendly but not rude. The facility is small, which is great if you don’t like walking. The pools close at 6 pm. WHAT?! That was weird and ridiculous , as there are no lifeguards so why close so early? One day people refused to get out. The beach is tiny but the water is nice. You have to get up before 6 to guarantee a beach or pool chair. We saw one fight over chairs. Not enough chairs. This is annoying and there isn’t anything they can do about it. There are the loudest cicadas of all time in the trees around the pool. The resort is located on a busy street, and a Boardwalk, but you don’t hear the traffic. Good thing about this is there are so many options for restaurants and bars steps away from the hotel.

The location of the hotel is amazing it is right next to the sea near all water activities and near the strip with loads of places to shop. However I gave three stars purely because of the food, while yes it was nice and there were options, the inconsistency of the labelling of ingredients was quite dangerous from an allergy pov, I’d be told something was nut free and it would have nuts so I had to be extremely careful- if your going to label food allergies at least make it consistent. however the restaurants connected to the hotel were amazing and glad we did book them. Entertainment at night wasn’t the best but the two workers around the pool tried to get people interested and made an effort. Overall I’d stay again quite happily as long as the food problem was addressed in some manner, but our hotel room was spacious and had an amazing balcony.

I had a great experience in the spa, Eleni die an excellent job. Had a massage and it was very relaxing.

Just returned from Silva Beach and had a wonderful time. Food was delicious. Rooms a little dated but were ok. Everywhere was spotless and everyone was very welcoming. Only negatives were not enough sunbeds, you had to be up at the crack of dawn to get one and people were putting towels on and not using them all day. Also not enough seating on an evening after 9pm you couldn't get a seat around the entertainment area. We celebrated a birthday whilst we were there and had a birthday cake and bottle of bubbly left in our room which was a lovely touch. Thanks for a great holiday Silva Beach we will definitely be back.
