Silva Beach

The location is the only reason I’d give this hotel any credit. It’s right on the beachfront and within walking distance of plenty of bars, restaurants and shops, with some lovely nearby traditional towns to visit. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was a big disappointment. The food had very little variety, the snack bar was mainly breakfast leftovers, the coffee was awful and there was no fresh breakfast juices which I have never not had in a 4 star hotel, and most cocktails weren’t even included in the all-inclusive package. The biggest surprise was being asked to pay a €200 cash deposit because we were under the age of 27 and assumed to be partying and damaging the room, even though any aged person can get drunk and cause damage? (I'm 25 & partner 26, with no intention's of partying). We’d never come across this before, and it defeated the purpose of bringing spending money for our holiday. The reception staff were very rude about this and demanded we took money out from the cash machine and it would be given back the day we leave. The hotel was also extremely overcrowded. If you wanted a sunbed, you had to be up at 4–5am to reserve one. This just ruins the idea of a relaxing holiday. Our first day we were without a sunbed after a very early morning arrival to the hotel, we were very tired and upset to see no beds available and people reserving them and never returning. The hotel itself was nice looking and traditional but not the cleanest. Our room was spacious and quiet. To top it off, the reception staff were rude and unwelcoming, even when we arrived. The bottom pool bar man was also rude, my partner was told he could not have more than 2 drinks at a time! Overall, despite the excellent location, the poor service, overcrowding and disappointing all-inclusive experience mean we wouldn’t return or recommend this hotel.

The hotel is an absolute gem - designed to act as a Greek village. Great food, 20 meters away from the sea with its own beach. Located at the city center of Hersonissos, but free from the noise of the city. Friendly staff, good drinks. The reason I give 3 stars is one: hordes of noisy English barbarians, acting like a horde of Huns. All sunbeds were blocked from 5 am, half of them empty but with towels on for the whole day long. The staff is ignoring that, even when they have the rules (visible all over the place) that towels will be removed. So, if you are a fan of drunk English hooligans and a pool full of empty but blocked sunbeds, it is a perfect location for you.

Staff not very friendly Room was dirty and in need of repair, wardrobes broken , furniture damaged , bathroom was dirty . Hotel areas were very run down, sat on a chair for breakfast and it broke under me, pool had broken steps , tabels Uneven and wood blown , food very inconsistent so ate out every day and evening on an all inclusive, alcohol was given diffent on the first night and when questioned the second night was different..tastes awful was told it was the same even though completely different brand and bottles i asked the other one and was told no . No air conditioning in communal areas and when asked to put on was told they are not allowed as it cost too much. Was a birthday surprise that was let down on expectations, they take good photos Best part was the wellbeing centre the hotel should take a leaf out of their book , wonderful staff a d clean happy envious

Returned from Silva Beach 10 days ago. Had a fantastic time. Location ideal for loads of bars restaurants & shops in easy walking distance. Food very good always something for everyone. We had a ground floor suite overlooking bottom pool & sea ideal location & spacious room. Staff always very helpful. Entertainment team although only two V-boy & Terrance lovely guys very entertaining. Kostas on the beach bar such a friendly kind guy even though some people forget the basic manners of please & thankyou he was always so welcoming, he made a lovely iced coffee. Peter the matradee at the main restaurant so welcoming & friendly sad to see he had to leave after the first week. Although the hotel states beach, disappinting that theres not much of it & getting down to sea, a climb down the rocks not accessible for those less agile. Hotel rooms & external areas could do with updating & refresher of paint said to see some areas really not very well maintened for such a lovely layout. One area in particular the restaurant viewable from pool where the facia is falling away could be quite dangerous. Decking around lower pool alot of pieces breaking away & causing trip hazard should be replaced with tiles same as upper pool. Definatly be returning to such a lovely friendly hotel & area

Hotel beautiful, location was great. Bar staff top bar was friendly. The pool lower bar gentleman was rude and at time disrespectful to new guest about all inclusive drinks. The normal chaos of 6am sun bed rush, broken, old beds but some are newer hence showed up the old ones. Restaurant had two additional ones attached Italian and tex mex both very nice and great menu choice. The main buffet restaurant had a good selection of food if not a little repetitive. My main issues was the poor food labelling to say it was hit and miss would be fair. The staff have no idea what’s in the food, labels said no nuts to only find pistachio on the base of the cake. I asked the chef who also wasn’t sure and admitted some cake bases were brought in not made at the hotel, I’d almost rather no labelling than sloppy half hearted labelling which meant twice I almost ate something dangerous to me. The two day time entertainment guys were brilliant made the holiday but as for night entertainment non existent very difficult to really say it offers anything after hours. The pools open at 10am which is so late, most are 0830 am - 0900am and then to shut at 6pm when u offer no other real entertainment is a bit daft. Would I stay again, probably as hotel setting and hotel design itself was gorgeous but I’d properly not go all inclusive .
