A beautiful resort easily accessible from Heraklion Airport with around a 25 minute transfer. It just needs some tweaking as it does come across disjointed at times. We stayed in a premium swim up room which was lovely but a shame despite our request they hadn’t made up the beds as a twin towers n our arrival. We were in a lovely quiet area of the resort and had the afternoon sun. Unfortunately some palm trees did shade our deck a lot (not the hotels fault) so if you’re a real sun worshipper probably worth letting the hotel know in advance. We preferred La Parilla for breakfast but the main restaurant apparently has more selection but we found this had ample to chose from. Lovely location. The only comment would be that they don’t set the outside tables with spoons and when served tea and coffee no teaspoon comes on the saucer or milk brought out. Please note these are minor things that could be easily rectified. We loved the choice of restaurants, the variety of food and how lovely all the staff throughout the resort are. As a rose drinker it would have been nice to have had a cote de Provence included in the all inclusive list. We loved the food in Vegra and Isla but the service was slow. One thing that surprised me was the abundance of plastic in resort - wouldn’t it make more sense to give everyone a branded Stella water bottle then refill them rather than copious amounts of plastic bottles. Also I get the hygiene aspect of the plastic on the straws but a lot of excess rubbish. We found housekeeping hit and miss. Every day we had to ask for water whereas I would have thought this would be done automatically. We did struggle with the wifi so maybe some more boosters round the resort? The White Party on the Monday was a lot of fun and great people danced as the other nights it was just an hour of people watching dancers which got a bit samey. Maybe adding in another night like the white party would be fun? All in all I would highly recommend this resort and will Definetly go back. My comments are purely some constructive criticism to improve a great product.
Excellent resort. Spent 10 days here in the swim up maisonette and we had the most perfect time. The resort is beautiful and spotlessly clean. The service is fantastic and the team there really make you feel welcome and take the time to chat with you. The food and drinks are superb. The pools were not cold. The resort exceeded our expectations and we will be back. Special thanks to Ladislav for making time out of his busy day and treating us so well and the rest of the team who made our stay so special. Would definitely recommend!
Very nice resort, lovely food and accommodation. My only gripe is the LOUD music all day it’s like being at a rave. Having spoken to other guests they had exactly the same, opinion. Turn it down!
Everything is fabulous, staff are very attentive, food is outstanding.
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon at the end of April/beginning of May. We did not have the best weather whilst here (obviously not the hotels fault) which did impact our stay quite a bit. 4 out of the 7 days we had cold and wet weather (the weather app said it felt like 6 degrees). Due to this the entertainment in the evening was cancelled a couple of times. The swimming pools are ice cold - not a ‘once you get in you’ll be fine’, but ICE cold. If I were to go again I would plan to go at a different time of year with guaranteed weather, and probably at the end of the summer so the pools have had a chance to warm up. We ended up using the indoor gym on 3 of the days - it’s decent and we enjoyed it. We did book tennis one afternoon but it starting pouring rain so we didn’t end up playing. We booked a premium swim up room and it was all fine. They kindly gave us a bottle of rosé as it was our honeymoon, and as we arrived very late we were able to order room service at no charge. There was an awful sewage smell the night we arrived near our room but by the next morning it had gone and we didn’t experience this again. We did see quite a few ants outside our door but they didn't venture inside the room. The food was incredible! I had the best steak in La Parilla, the food in the Greek taverna was lovely, the Asian fusion restaurant was really nice. We really enjoyed the buffet too. Particularly the overnight oats, omelettes and pancakes for breakfast. The desserts were the best desserts we’ve experienced! The only negative thing about the food was when we ordered the egg dishes at breakfast that were table service - the poached eggs were raw. My husband’s eggs looked like they’d been dunked in the water then put on the plate. The drink options were all great. I really liked the berry nutty punch, piña colada and the daiquiris, and my husband really enjoyed a lot of the espresso martinis and he tried a few of the white wines. He one day even asked if they could try to make him a decaf espresso martini and they did. Whenever he asked for one after this they’d always check if he wanted decaf. The service was a 9.9/10. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. They were happy to recommend drinks and even what we could do on the days with bad weather. They come round the sunbeds and you order drinks that way. If you did go up to the bar you were often told that they will come and take your order and send you on your way which I didn’t mind but my husband wanted drinks more often than they did their rounds.
