TUI BLUE Insula Alba

This hotel is honestly worth 5 stars. Even before the holiday, I had been working with the hotel to help create a special moment for my partner, as we got engaged during our stay! So, even before we checked in, the experience had already been great. Eva and the Guest Relations team were incredibly supportive and helpful throughout the planning. After checking into our swim-up room, we were greeted with treats and drinks waiting for us. The room was very clean, and we got amazing sunshine on our beds throughout the day (room 1702). The cleaners were quick and did a great job, and the staff member who topped up our minibar was brilliant at remembering what we liked. The bar is great, with a really good range of drinks included in the all-inclusive package, and it wouldn’t have been the same without Manos. He genuinely made the trip to the bar from our room worth it! He is incredibly charismatic, friendly and really good at his job. The snack bar, inside the /Al a Carte “Culliniarum”, took us a few days to discover, but it was genuinely the best one we’ve experienced. There was such a wide range of really good food, and we only wish we had found it sooner! Breakfast and the evening meals at the main restaurant were fabulous too. We never had a day where there wasn’t something we enjoyed, and we really couldn’t fault the food. As you exit the hotel towards the beach, just a few minutes later you reach a beautiful chapel and a love-heart seat, which is lovely to see. You’re also greeted by plenty of shops and some great restaurants nearby. Throughout our stay, I think it was the staff who really made the experience so pleasant. Everyone we encountered was kind, friendly and very accommodating. If there were a couple of things I could change: A) I’d make the second à la carte restaurant, Pizza Pasta, more widely known. We didn’t realise this existed, and unfortunately it was closed on the days we tried to book, so we never got the chance to experience it. B) We tried to book a late checkout through the app and also called reception, but unfortunately didn’t receive a response. We eventually turned up at reception and were told there was no availability left. It would have been helpful to know this earlier, especially as we had tried a couple of different ways to arrange it. Overall, though, these are very minor points. We had an amazing stay, and the staff genuinely made the experience what it was. We would absolutely return and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great all-inclusive stay.

Negatives- junior suites only have 1 plug on the beside table- so you can’t charge your mobile and have the little lamp on at the same time. House keeping is not the best - I had to ring for clean towels and restock of milk sachets The junior suite I’m not a fan as they have 2 chairs which i found annoying especially when it’s couples and you can’t relax unless you go upstairs to the bedroom Location - 30 minutes into the town and it’s 50euros ish. The beach a 5 minute walk is quite small Positives- The staff are exceptional. I have stayed at a lot of RIUs and by far the staff where are so kind, helpful and friendly. The pool bar staff and the managers sister in the restaurant are truly the nicest people I have ever met. Drinks and food are fantastic Pool is lovely and sun beds are comfortable - staff even walk around and hand out iced lattes and drinks - This is a huge positive. Entertainment- it’s low key but even during the day there is activities and live saxophone music. This I loved. There is a supermarket close and a few lovely restaurants close by also. Spa is beautiful too and staff don’t pressure you to have a treatment The grounds are kept very clean also This is by one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in and mainly due to the staff because we all know rude unhelpful staff makes you have a rubbish holiday xx Thank you

A gorgeous week here! Perks: - Staff were delightful and so attentive - Lots to do in the day, both in the hotel and outside. There are a few shops and bars nearby but plenty of options for excursions, day trips, car hire, water park - Food was wonderful (I find it hard that some of the other reviews say it was repetitive.. if you stay at the same place for 2 weeks and don’t go anywhere else it is going to be!). There are three different places to eat in the evening. Culinarium was superb! - Lovely room with swim up pool - cleaned and re stocked each day! - We arrived at 4 o clock and were so hungry. We just missed the cafe (which shuts at 4:30) so I would advise if you have arrived in the afternoon head straight for food at the cafe (which is also the culinarium) - Soooo many cocktails included in the all inclusive range which is unusual Cons: - Perhaps more could be put on in the evening. Bingo was good and the dance act was amazing. However some evenings where it was just a DJ, it would have been better perhaps for something to be on? My partner and I will be back next year - it was a stunning place to relax for 5 days. Thank you so much!

This is our second time at Isula Alba, the first being 3 years ago. We were so excited to return and we were not disappointed. We were greeted in reception and given some fruit juice while we were checked in. We arrived around 4pm and were taken by buggy to our room. We had a room with a private Pool. The room was very clean and once we turned the air con down it was the perfect temperature. The food in the main restaurant was lovely...always something we enjoyed and the desserts are amazing. Norbet made our mornings at breakfast with his lovely smile and kept our glasses topped up at lunchtimes. Thank you Norbet for being so lovely. We preferred to spend our evening in the Piano bar as not enough seating in the evenings at the Pool bar. There is a great selection of drinks on the AI menu with some lovely cocktails too. We were served most nights by Panos. He was so lovely and friendly. Thank you Panos you are a star ! We had a lovely meal in the cullinarium and the view is perfect with the sun setting in the background. This is a very quiet and peaceful hotel perfect for relaxing and unwinding. All the staff members greet you with a smile which just makes you feel so welcome and special. We have already booked up for next year and can't wait to return. We stayed in Insula Alba for our honeymoon at the end of July. It was a little slice of heaven! We stayed in a swim up room. So peaceful and quiet. Food was excellent for all sittings in the day and there was lots of choice. Great atmosphere at the bar with some light entertainment in the evening. Rooms spotless. Cleaned every day.
