Zeus Ydoria Resort

We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Zeus Ydoria Resort, and we can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable vacation. The food deserves the highest praise – it was incredibly varied, always fresh, and absolutely delicious. Every meal offered a wide selection of dishes for both guests who prefer savory food and those with a sweet tooth. There were fresh fruits available every day, as well as delicious cakes, ice cream, and a great variety of desserts. Another big highlight was the pool bar, where you could enjoy refreshing drinks, ice cream, and one of the best freshly made gyros we’ve ever had – perfect for lunch between swimming sessions. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and cleaned thoroughly every day. The entire hotel was very well maintained – the swimming pools and sunbeds were always clean, making it easy to relax and enjoy every moment. A special thank you goes to the entire hotel staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They truly made us feel at home throughout our stay. One of the biggest highlights of our holiday was the amazing animation team. They put so much energy and passion into every activity, both during the day and in the evening. Whether it was games by the pool, sports activities, evening entertainment, or the Mini Club for children, they were always enthusiastic, engaging, and created a fantastic atmosphere for guests of all ages. This was an unforgettable holiday, and we already know that we will definitely be coming back next year. Zeus Ydoria Resort is a wonderful hotel run by wonderful people. Thank you for giving us such beautiful memories – we can’t wait to see you again!

The place is very nice. Atmosphere in hotel is perfect because of animator’s team. They are very catchy and creative.

We had an amazing stay at Zeus Ydoria Resort, and our experience exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in a Superior Family Room with a Private Pool, and it was simply outstanding. The room was incredibly spacious, featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, modern furnishings, impeccable cleanliness, and exceptional comfort. Having our own private pool was a fantastic bonus and gave us unforgettable moments of relaxation. The resort is beautifully maintained, and all four swimming pools are spotless and spacious enough for everyone to find the perfect place to relax. The food was one of the highlights of our holiday. There was an excellent variety of fresh and delicious dishes, and every day we found something new to try. There was truly something to suit every taste. A huge thank you to the entertainment team! Special thanks to Rico, the entertainment manager, who organized all the daily activities by the pool, games for both children and adults, themed evenings, engaging quizzes, and many other fun activities. His professionalism, enthusiasm, and positive energy made every day and every evening special. We would also like to thank Evi and Aurelia, who were always smiling, energetic, and fully dedicated to creating a wonderful atmosphere. We would also like to express our gratitude to Irin at one of the resort's pool bars for her kindness, professionalism, and the excellent recommendations she gave us throughout our stay. A special thank you also goes to Christos at the reception desk, who always welcomed us with a warm smile and patiently provided all the information and assistance we needed. We would also like to recognize the wonderful housekeeper who cleaned our room every day. She was incredibly attentive, discreet, and friendly, and the fact that she spoke Romanian, Russian, and Ukrainian made us feel even more welcome. Finally, we would like to congratulate the entire hotel team. Every member of staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming, professional, and genuinely hospitable. It is clear that they take pride in their work and do everything possible to create a warm, friendly, and relaxing atmosphere for every guest. Thank you for an unforgettable holiday! We will definitely return and highly recommend Zeus Ydoria Resort to anyone looking for outstanding service, comfort, delicious food, and a truly memorable holiday in Crete. The only minus would be the slabs of stones in the sea really difficult to enter into the water especially for kids.

We spent 10 night at Zeus Ydoria and thoroughly enjoyed our break. The rooms were basic but clean and tidy. The cleaners do a good job keeping on on top of things. There’s several pools which cater for all. If you want a quiet space or crazy hustle and bustle with slides or pool games, there’s something for you. The food I thought was excellent with lots of choice morning, noon and night. I’d like to maybe see some table snacks at the evening entertainment like crisps or nuts. The bar staff do a superb job. Shout out to Giorgios especially. There’s a huge range of drinks and cocktails available ranging from the usual beer, wines and spirits with raki and ouzo included too. The entertainments team is excellent. The stand out was the in house fire show. We seen two fire shows during our holiday and the one organised by the in house entertainment team was far superior. The surroundings are very clean. Make sure to get about and about. Rethymno is a lovely town. Make a point of visiting the old town. The beaches is also a 5 minute walk. I’ve seen some negativity on here in regards to the surface of the beach. There’s large, large areas of pure sand so I don’t get the issue. There’s plenty sunbeds for all and no need to get up at crazy o’clock to reserve a decent spot. The only negative is the slippy tiles especially coming down the slope at the water slide pool. I seen numerous people of all ages fall and hurt themselves even with pool shoes/ flip flops on. I’d suggest you put down an anti slip mat as someone is really going to get hurt. I’m cautious of ending on a negative as we had a great holiday so for that I’m giving a 5 star review.

Awesome resort in a fantastic location! The staff were incredibly friendly (special thanks to Christos!), and the manager was very welcoming and always happy to help ( special thanks to him as well)!. The bartenders and housekeeping staff were also wonderful. The food was delicious every single day. The rooms were cozy, clean, and comfortable. The location is perfect, with plenty of shops nearby, and the beach is just a couple of minutes' walk away. Highly recommended! 💪 Special thanks for the daily icecream from the KIDS! 😁
