Zeus Ydoria Resort

We stayed 28th Aug - 4th Sep. Hotel is in a good location, some shops, beaches, restaurants locally. The food was really good for an all inclusive, plenty of seafood and meat choices. The souvlaki at the pool bar was particularly good for lunch and meant you didn’t feel like you were in and out of the same dining area 3 times per day. Whilst the staff aren’t miserable, none of the reception or restaurant staff are particularly cheery. The young ladies on the animation team are an asset and work really hard. My son’s favourite staff member was the lifeguard George. He was great fun, but also firm with safety and was always on the ball. Couple of small gripes that could be easily remedied; The room layouts are quite strange. The children are in the main room with the kettle, main door and balcony. Mine are old enough for that not to be a worry but younger kids could be a problem. The glasses are tiny. I would say they only hold 1/3 of a pint (1/2 at a push) so we spent longer than needed queuing at the bar! They also only had 1 choice of beer on draught, and a bottle of corona was 6 euros (which was the only other beer they stocked) Some outside entertainment wouldn’t go a miss. Again, the animation team make a lot of effort with the kids, but some more authentic entertainment for the adults would be good. The karaoke was diabolical although that could be just our tastes. I wouldn’t return purely as I don’t like to visit the same place twice, however I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel either. Lake kournas is a must! We went on a trip with a local company to the hotel and then rented a car and returned for the full day.

The hotel itself was lovely, but our room was very sparsely furnished. It lacked basic amenities such as a chair, a chest of drawers, and hooks for clothes or towels. Additionally, many guests agreed that the pool area by the reception should be designated as an adults-only zone (18+). Since there are plenty of other pools available for families, dedicating this specific area to adults would greatly enhance the experience.

We went as a group of 8, 4 adults and 4 girls aged 7 to 12. We all thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The hotel is small compared to many all inclusive resorts, however our view was that everything they offered they did really well! We found all the food in the buffet restaurant fresh and beautifully cooked. There were a wide range of Greek and International dishes, as well as all the kid favourites. There were also excellent desserts, ice cream and varieties of fruit. The pools were all clean and there was never a rush to get a sunbed. There were 4 poster beds free at the smaller pool often at 10am. We also found the bars, pools, and hotel in general clean at all times. The girls loved the animation team ladies. They played with them all endlessly and provided day and evening entertainment. They were very skilled at their jobs and we all had tears when we left! We also visited the town by the local bus, and went on a trip which included Lake Kournas (where you can see turtles).

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were very impressed with the overall experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and our room was very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. They were always willing to assist us and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The quality of the food was also excellent. There was a good variety of dishes, everything was fresh and well prepared, and the meals were delicious. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again!

We've just returned from a great week at Ydoria, family of three. We arrived late and Checkin was smooth, they had even kept some food for late arrivals which was a nice touch. Room was compact but clean and tidy. We had a slightly temperamental A/C unit but other than that the room was good. We had a pool suite - choose carefully some are better than others re pool size, shade etc. Pools and slides were excellent and lifeguards friendly and helpful. The pools look beautiful but the porcelain tiles surrounding them are MEGA slippy - take slipstop shoes for kids. The two girls who run entertainment / kids club are friendly and work very hard. The highlight of the hotel was the food. The buffet was always excellent - with selection presentation and variety way beyond the price point of the hotel. We have been to the Maldives earlier in the summer and the food was honestly better here! The hotel is walking distance to the beach and a few bars / restaurants / shops. We'll be back!
