Just spend 11 days at Ydoria. We are 2 families with 2 kids (2boys and 2 girls) Don’t bother negative reviews about food and drinks. All fresh and tasty. Very Good quality for All Inclusive! Entertainment: our kids didn’t participate that much but loved What they did. Evening entertainment is Nice. Fireshow was good! We had 2 familie rooms. Just spot on! But at arrival, one family had one not renovated family room. Lucky, after going to reception en being understandfully helped, we got also a renovated room and loved it! Point of dissapointment: waterslides (and female lifeguard). Our kids are good swimmers that love to Enjoy the slides… but they didn’t… lifeguard just annoying and very very strict to everything, How you use the slides, How you get out the pool,…. Just didn’t love it (and kids didn’t also). Irini, barkeeper at the poolbar just made the holiday even more Nice. Always smiling and friendly! Big big shout out to Irini! Thankyou for everything!!

We stayed here for 7 nights as a family of three, and overall our experience was okay. We had a nice holiday, but there were several areas where we felt the hotel fell short compared to other all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at. Hotel The hotel itself is very modern, stylish and well decorated. The communal areas are clean and have a lovely contemporary feel. Room We booked a private pool room. The room was modern, but it was obvious in places that it hadn’t been finished to a particularly high standard. It had one double bed and a single bed for our 12-year-old. There was also no full-length mirror in the room, and the only place to get ready was using the bathroom mirror. Storage space was quite limited and, overall, the room felt fairly small. One thing we couldn’t fault was the outdoor area. The private pool was fantastic, with three sun loungers plus a table and chairs. It was the highlight of our stay and definitely worth booking. One issue we did have was that the main room door couldn’t be locked from the inside, and there was no “Do Not Disturb” sign, so housekeeping would simply enter the room and got annoyed if we politely asked if they could come back later. Main pools There are four pools, which is great, but it was practically impossible to get a sunbed around the main pool after 9am. Many beds were reserved with towels from early morning (or even the night before) and staff never seemed to remove them, despite many remaining unused for hours. Food Overall, the food was good and there was always something nice to eat. However, we were surprised there wasn’t a dedicated children’s section at the main restaurant buffet, which made things a little difficult with a fussy eater. The pool bar food was okay, but there wasn’t a menu to order from—you simply chose whatever was available in the serving trays. The gyros, however, were available daily and were absolutely delicious. In previous all-inclusive holidays we’ve enjoyed fresh food cooked to order from a pool bar menu, so this felt like a step backwards. There was also no à la carte restaurant, only the main buffet restaurant and the pool bar. Drinks The drinks selection was quite limited. We were also disappointed that drinks such as Aperol Spritz and sangria required an additional charge. In our experience, these have always been included as part of the all-inclusive package elsewhere. Entertainment This was probably the biggest disappointment for us. The only place to spend the evening was the main pool bar. There was a children’s disco at 8:45pm, after which it was usually just loud music or the occasional quiz. There also weren’t enough seats for everyone. It would have been lovely if the outdoor restaurant terrace had been used in the evenings as a quieter area with a singer or acoustic entertainment for families wanting a more relaxed atmosphere. Instead, we found ourselves going out every evening before returning to our room. Location The location was okay. Our shared transfer took around 1.5 hours and we were the third and final drop-off. There are a handful and shops to the right of the hotel, with a larger selection around a 15-minute walk to the left and we preferred it here. Rethymno is around a 20-minute drive away, with a bus stop directly outside the hotel or taxi for €15 each way. Overall Would I recommend it? Not really sure. I would definitely recommend the private pool rooms, as they really were excellent. Compared with other all-inclusive hotels we’ve stayed at, this one doesn’t quite measure up. That said, it has plenty of potential to be much better with a few improvements. We still had a nice holiday, but we did leave feeling a little disappointed.

Hotel is very average considering the price, location wise, it’s about 15 minute taxi from rethymno which is the closest city to get some nightlife, a decent strip of restaurants & bars & shops. the hotels food was just okay, very repetitive & i was itching to eat our every night because the quality of the food wasn’t great. though the cocktails & drinks were 10/10. rooms are standard, shower has a curtain not a door so the floor was constantly getting soaked, fresh towels & cleaning daily though. beach is a pebble beach not sand! overall, i wouldn’t spend more then £600 per person for this hotel, there are others more in the city or closer to better beaches for a fair price, also very family oriented hotel do not come for a girls or lads holiday, even couples! the entertainment is soully kids music & mini kids discos.
