An Unforgettable Stay with World-Class Hospitality!I stayed at Flegra Palace in mid-July, and it was truly a memorable visit from start to finish. The hospitality here is next-level; the entire staff consistently went above and beyond to make me feel welcome as a solo traveller.A special thank you to Mary, the manager, for her incredible leadership and care, and to Michael, the Executive Chef, for the outstanding culinary experience. The bar staff absolutely blew me away—Kledo, Panos, Stephan, and so many others (too many to name!) made the best drink recommendations and kept the great energy going every night. My room was spotless and serviced daily by the incredibly hardworking housekeeping team. At the front desk, the amazing receptionists Maria and Natasa were always smiling and happy to help with any queries or quickly book a taxi into town—though it’s only a short, pleasant 10-minute walk if you prefer to stroll. To top it all off, Sonia gave me literally the best massage I’ve ever had.I highly recommend Flegra Palace and will definitely be returning again!

We stayed for 1 week B&B, staff were overall friendly (some more than others) and helpful. On arrival late at night we were taken to our room where we had been given a ground floor family room (for the 2 of us) which was a welcome surprise. You enter to the sitting room with a sofa bed, chair, tv&a/c, short corridor to a decent size bathroom with shower over the bath then the main bedroom with bed, stand alone wardrobe with shelving and safe, bedside shelves and lamps, dressing table/desk and chair, tv, (a quiet!) fridge and a/c with access to a balcony with a table and 4 chairs and a window which over looked the pool. The room was clean and the decor was decent, though a more practical bedside table with drawers and a table in the sitting room would both have been handy, along with better placed plug sockets/mirrors. The shower could have done with being fixed in place better as we had to practically stand on the plughole for the water to fall over us. Housekeeping was always kept on top of in the room and the rest of the hotel and grounds was always well kept and clean, we saw a gardener regularly and pool cleaners. Our room was just behind the pool so we didn't get any road noise but I had read and could imagine guests would hear this if near the front of the hotel. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of breads and pastries, fruit, cereals and juice etc, the hot food was quite good but it never changed and was slightly cold on a couple of occasions. There was always enough seating in the breakfast room and the staff kept on top of replenishing the food. There was only a pool bar which I think was open until midnight, here you could also get lunch or an evening meal. Luckily we found this out in-time as there was a storm on the first night so ended up staying at the hotel for the evening so the bar/restaurant was a lot busier than on other eves but they were very accommodating. I believe this is where the half board guests ate but I don't think there was a lot of choice, we did have lunch here 2 or 3 times but it was a limited menu. We did have difficulty getting a sunbed on a couple of occasions even early around the time we went for breakfast, it seemed there were no spare ones or space to put any more but I think there should have been an option to have some on the grass which was still near the pool. Also on one occasion our towels and belongings were removed from the sunbeds whilst we took 15 mins to have breakfast, the same had happened to others although the sign said to not leave them unattended for 30 mins which I was very aware of, however we weren't getting any help from the staff to find our belongings or any apology. The pool was a perfect temperature and the hotel appeared to have inflatables for anyone to use. We only saw the lifeguard occasionally but she was lovely and helpful as she was also a first aider who attended to me when I had bad infected insect bites and she kept checking on me afterwards. There is a small gym with limited equipment and a spa and indoor heated pool. We were able to book a 15 min slot for use of shower/changing room in the spa on our day of departure since our pickup for the airport was in the early eve, this did seem very rushed and it was hot in there with other guests also doing the same but it was better than nothing especially if you've been by the pool/on the beach all day. The hotel was on the main road with not much pavement and was a good 15 min walk to the supermarkets, shops then restaurants and bars etc, slightly more to the old town and about 30 min walk to the town in the opposite direction. This was really the only downfall for us regarding staying at Flegra, as most guests were B&B we then had to do the walk (usually in the hot sun) there and back twice a day which got a bit much and the route is a bit boring, we felt getting taxis would have added up quite a lot in the end and as much as we do like to walk it was just a bit much and quite tedious. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel but they only came occasionally, we did use this to go to Thesaloniki as advised by reception which was a good day out. The resort does have a decent amount of shops and restaurants and the beach is about the same distance away once you work out your bearings. The hotel is mostly 3 floor "bungalows" (seperate buildings, think ours had 9 rooms) and no lifts. The hotel itself was lovely and I would recommend staying there if you don't mind the walk and ask for a room near the back if you want it quiet.
