Flegra Palace

A lovely hotel that we stayed in for 5 nights. The room was very clean and the cleaners came everyday to change towels, bins, make the beds and empty rubbish. The food by the pool bar was very well priced considering portion sizes - they were very big! The breakfast we good, a typical selection of bread, fruits, meat and full English breakfast foods. The shower was sales a good pressure and temperature. The location would be the only let down, for us personally, because it is quiet. There is also no evening entertainment. A quick 10-15 min walk to the beach was ideal though for a beach day and restaurants. There is a few shops in the town but again quite quiet. We did love the takeaway cocktails from ‘El Greco’ There was a few hotel cats roaming. Overall a very lovely stay!

I thought the hotel itself was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the facilities were a let down with a gym that had all broken machines, a limited dinner menu / options and basic rooms. The Halkidiki area is one I couldn’t recommend. Very poor options for food with basic restaurants. On a more disappointing note, this is an area where as a non white person, you will receive many stares and comments. I myself had to endure this and was called the n word while walking back to my hotel. An appalling act which it seems many locals would deem normal behaviour. This has negatively impacted how I felt about the holiday as I had stated the hotel was ok. But the area and racism you will experience first hand, is disgusting and appalling.

Great location nice distance from centre and a nice if not long walk to next town. Not far to walk to sea front either. The Hotel atmosphere was generally good had a little blip when what appeared to be some sort of inspection. Staff were both helpful and friendly. The pool and bar area are nice and relaxing. The food was good, drinks were a little on the expensive side but maybe that’s just the general rise in price of everything . Breakfast was first class the choice was superb Rooms were smallish but clean and tidy also well maintained . Safe and aircon were free which is great. All in all a very good place to holiday however would be careful of time you book the middle of June and it became very busy in the area

We visited this hotel 2 years ago and had a fantastic experience so encouraged our 2 friends to return with us this year. What a mistake. We would not recommend this hotel again. For ckarity I will give both positives and negatives from our experience. Positives: 1. Majority of the staff are pleasant and welcoming and very hard working. A special mention to the grounds keeper and general handyman. Wow! This nan is a gem. I hope his hard work is appreciated by the company. Also Mary is lovely and very helpful 2. The hitel is cleaned to a high standard. Our room was cleaned beautifully every day and all areas were spotlessly clean 3. Food at the pool bar and restaurants was very nice and reasonably priced 4. The drinks were of a good quality priced slightly higher than in the town Nefatives: 1. Little information given on check in and no hotel information in the room. 2. Standard rooms are very small. Insufficient space for belongings 3. Food variety. At our last visit the breakfast buffet was treble the size and variety. This time, as mentioned in numerous reviews, the offerings were the same every day. Very disappointing 4. Sunbeds! O e of the main reasons we chose to return to this hotel was the fact that, on our previous stay, the hotel owned the beach bar and sunbeds. We simply had to book our beds via the hotel app each day. It was fantastic. This time we were told the hotel no longer owns the bar/sunbeds. The net effe t is that due to this the sunbeds availability has probably reduced by 75% and there is now insufficient sunbeds for guests 5. Sunbeds continued- the system in place now states towels will be removed if the sunbeds us left unattended fur more than 30 minutes. That means guests have to crush down early in the morning to secure a bed and have to rush their breakfast for fear if losing their bed. This is nit then a relaxing holiday. We were then forced to pay €20 to use the ones at the beach. Having said that, the staff at the beach made us feel valued and welcome. Flegra staff take note as some staff made us feel the opposite. One guy at tge pool bar took obvious delight in removing people's towels and was obviously on a power trip 6. Facilities for the last day. We were told we could use the spa to shower on our last day. When we got there we were told we had 15 minutes. The spa lady harassed us to leave to the point that we had to leave with our hair wet. We saw another lady who had to do the same and wasxequally unhappy with how she was treated. We happily gave this hotel a 10/10 2 years ago. Now we give it a 4/10

We had such a great time at Flegra! The staff were incredibly friendly and made some of the most delicious cocktails we’ve had. The pool is large enough, so it never felt crowded, and the rooms were spotless throughout our stay. One of the biggest advantages is that the hotel isn’t located right in the center of the village, which made parking our car easy and stress-free. It was one of our best vacations in Greece.
