I really enjoied the facial treatment. And i can recommend it to everyone. I had Despina, she really did a great job.

Pros: - quieter space (adults area) and busy active areas (main resort) - Food exceptional. Amazing choices. If staying in adult section then even more choice as can eat there two - Free shuttle from hotel into Kardemena and back worked really well - shop on site was useful to have (although pricier than shop nearer beach out of hotel 200yards away or kardemena) - entertainment was good with waterpolo, tennis, football, darts etc (17yr old every day joined these). - only ten euros taxi into Kardemena from hotel and was very easy if miss the shuttle or return later Cons: - threadbare towels in the rooms at times and for use around the pool which lowered the standard. They were really rough and holes in - room to shower after you hand the keys in was overbooked so we only managed to get it for 25mins to shower x4 before coach transfer collected us. A second room if busy should have been provided or even a shower block built as in other resorts I’ve stayed for such an occasion. Approx 75 euros to extend the room time that you had was expensive I felt. - no iron or ironing board in room lowered the star rating also. 20euros to hire for 3 hrs was inconvenient. To have to get from main reception (which was furthest from adult only area) each time needed an iron was annoying (this money was refunded upon return). - Having a hairdryer in the ensuite bathroom when had shower (so hot and steamy already) was not well thought through. This should be out of the bathroom and on the dressing table. - the car rental company in foyer was overpriced so a tip would be to use the hire company in Kardemena called autopia. We hired a car from them and travelled the small island easily. Recommend Kos town, paradise beach and Zia to visit. The company brought car to hotel for you at 9:30am and collected next day (left keys behind reception). Was an easy and efficient service. This cost 60 euros for a 5door automatic. - the resort at times did feel disjointed at time as so many zones especially on an . But at least there was something for everyone’s tastes each evening. Overall enjoyed our stay and a few tweaks would make it almost perfect.

Have just got back from 7nights at this hotel. We stayed in the adults only section, having paid extra for this. It is on a much smaller scale than the family area therefore food options, loungers etc are limited. My gripe with this is, any person over the age of 16 can use these facilities even if they are staying in the family part. Why pay the extra when you can use these facilities? We noticed some days that during meal times guests of the adult section were finding it difficult to get tables outside to eat due to this. The food is typical buffet food, lots of it but mostly lukewarm. I have to give praise to the staff that work there, they never stopped, a special shout out to the lady at breakfast who remembered my eggs order every morning :) The rooms were clean and tidy, a little on the small side, i would suggest taking one of the 2 settees out of these rooms and it opens up a little, although you don't spend much time in your room really. Our room opened up directly onto one of the sharing pools which was ideal for late mornings and no sun bed wars. Entertainment was like marmite, some liked it some didn't. It wouldn't make or break this holiday. Drinks, again some good some downright awful :) There is also a free shuttle bus taking you into the main town from early morning til late at night which was a good option to have. You make the holiday what it is and we did enjoy, weather was hot hot. Would i come back again? Possibly if i could get the holiday at a good price

We are a middle-aged couple who stayed at the Akti Beach Hotel for 7 nights. Although we had a pleasant holiday overall, this hotel is nowhere near the 5-star standard it's advertised as. The location is excellent. Kardamena is around a 45-minute walk away, and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus throughout the day and into the evening, which is a great service. Kardamena itself is a lovely town with a beautiful harbour, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops. Our room was clean, comfortable and the air conditioning worked brilliantly, which was very welcome in the heat. The rooms could do with a little refurbishment, but overall we were happy with the accommodation. The reception area is also large, clean and welcoming. The hotel has two large family pools as well as an adults-only section with its own pool, bar and restaurant, which was a nice feature. Unfortunately, this is where the positives begin to fade. The main restaurant is simply too busy for the number of guests. The staff work incredibly hard, but they just can't keep up with demand. There were often long queues for freshly grilled meats and pizzas, leaving guests standing with empty plates waiting for food to be cooked. We also regularly saw unaccompanied children pushing in, touching food and generally running around the restaurant, which made meal times feel chaotic rather than enjoyable. Everything is completely self-service, from finding your own table to collecting your own drinks, which isn't what many people would expect from a hotel marketed as 5-star. After a couple of visits, we chose to eat in the adults-only restaurant instead. It was much calmer, the staff provided a far better service and the overall experience was more relaxing. However, the food choice was much more limited, and breakfast, lunch and dinner were all fairly average. The coffee from the machines was poor, the food selection wasn't what we'd expect from a 5-star hotel, and much of the food in both restaurants was only ever lukewarm. One thing that didn't create a great impression was seeing groups of staff regularly taking cigarette and mobile phone breaks on the wall directly outside the adults-only restaurant, in full view of guests. The adults-only Asian restaurant also had an active swallow's nest built inside the dining area above the serving counter. While it's lovely to see wildlife, it doesn't really belong inside a restaurant serving food. There were visible bird droppings beneath the nest and we also noticed bird droppings on a number of the dining chairs, which wasn't particularly hygienic and certainly isn't what we'd expect from a hotel marketed as a 5-star resort. The adults-only pool itself was peaceful, but many of the sunbeds were old, worn and in need of replacing. They were often covered in bird droppings, while the family pool area had noticeably newer, better-quality loungers, which seemed an odd choice. The beach is easy to access and convenient, but again it feels neglected. The same ageing sunbeds and lack of upkeep make it much less inviting than it could be. One highlight was the beach snack bar. As the food is cooked to order, everything arrived fresh, hot and tasty. The menu is simple—burgers, hot dogs, souvlaki and chips—but it was consistently one of the better food options available. Overall, we enjoyed our week because we made the most of it, and every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite and hardworking. However, the hotel itself falls well short of a genuine 5-star experience. In our opinion, it is closer to a good 3-star or perhaps a modest 4-star hotel. There are simply too many issues—lukewarm food, overcrowded dining, tired facilities, poor maintenance and basic hygiene concerns—for this to justify a 5-star rating. With improvements to the food quality, restaurant organisation, maintenance and attention to detail, this hotel could be much better. Until then, the 5-star rating feels very misleading. Overall rating: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (3/5)

Still hear now and have spoken to many people who agree ! Drinks No frozen cocktails if u do want a cocktail it’s pre made in a plastic bottle left out in the heat served in a small glass ! Beer my husband is not enjoying and he will drink anything Sun beds Old saggy and there is a metal bar that sticks in your back no great! No movable shade so if u don’t get a fixed parasol there is no shade for you ! Rooms Ok nice main room large but the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp have to wiggle round the door to get to the loo Food Food is nice and lots to choose from man at the beach bar is fabulous Overall quite disappointing as a friend of mine came a few years ago and loved it I also spoke to a lady last night who came 2 years ago and said it is very different and has gone down hill
