Apollon

Myself and my partner spent 7 nights at this lovely hotel, and came back feeling our stay was completely worth the trip! Firstly, the staff here are all absolutely lovely and very welcoming, in particular the lovely Poppy on reception was very informative upon check in, and accommodating /helpful with any queries we had throughout our stay. The housekeeping standards are very high and their attention to detail (e.g. towel art on beds!) we really appreciated. The staff at the pool bar also were extremely friendly and would remember our favourite drinks, and were very quick to serve - we personally found we never had any wait times to be served which was amazing! The food standard we felt was brilliant, with a different theme of cuisine each evening for dinner, brought variety of options, (as a pescatarian I felt I had ample choice each night) and each theme was done to a very high standard! Location was very convenient for walks to local beaches / shops (north end of Lambi beach in particular was beautiful for sunset!), and a 25 minute walk from Kos centre. The hotel were very generous and gifted us a voucher upon arrival for a free bike hire day, we used this on our first day and found the island is very suitable for exploring via cycling! Vibe of the place was very relaxed, quiet, and very chilled. This isn't a hotel that does day time or evening entertainment, which suited our particular plans of a peaceful stay. In terms of amenities, there is a decently sized outdoor pool with plenty of space for anything between lane swimming or throwing around a ball amongst pairs or groups. In addition, we never struggled to find a pair of sun loungers to relax. There was also a tennis court located at the far end of the hotel, which you could borrow rackets and balls for free to make use of. As regular gym goers, we found that the on sight gym had plenty of equipment for all types of physical activity to be completed, this was priced at 5euros per session, however this could be booked per room which allowed you to complete an hour long session in private. Overall, we both felt like for the price we paid for our TUI package and 7 nights at this hotel was well worth it.

Spent the last 10 days in Kos at the lovely Lambi hotel Apollon. Met by the lovely Poppy at reception. Rooms not quite ready but she sent us out to the bar for a refreshing drink. Rooms great, no lifts, so if you have mobility issues ask for a ground floor room. AI was better than average and the Gala night was really good.. breakfast and lunch great. Snacks on offer through the afternoon. I didn't use the pool but was told it was fine, a few towels on sun beds early. Suspect as the season goes on this will increase. All the staff were great, hotel very clean and well maintained. They even helped us get a birthday cake for my adult son. Walk to Kos took about 20 minutes, or longer if you stop for a drink... we found walking the costal route better as we had our baby granddaughter, so kept us off the roads. There is a bus stop just to the left of the hotel as you come out, or plenty of bikes scooters cars for hire next door. Beach is a few minutes away, we used Mylos beach bar and it was excellent. Loved every minute of our stay in Kos and would stay at the Apollon again, we were all sad to leave.

We booked this hotel with Jet2 after reading good reviews on their website. We arrived 10 May for 7 days. On arrival we were greeted by a very polite and helpful receptionist called Poppy. As the restaurant was closing for lunch Poppy gave us our all-inclusive wrist bands before checking in, so we could get something to eat. So thank you Poppy. We were given our room 126, pool view, which we requested when we booked. The room was immaculate in every way. It was cleaned every day and we were treated to some lovely displays of Swans, hearts and flower displays placed on the bed. All other areas of the hotel including the gardens were clean and very well maintained. The bar area was large enough with plenty seating and back ground music playing but not too loud. The staff behind the bar were excellent at their jobs and always served our drinks very quickly. There is no entertainment at this hotel but we already knew this so it wasn't a problem for us. The restaurant and food choice was fantastic. Food was themed each night, for us the Gala and Asian nights were the best. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We always sat in the out door section of the restaurant. There was music playing creating a nice atmosphere and you could sit there as long as you wanted. If you like deserts you are in for a treat as they are delicious. Didn't use pool or sunbeds, so can't comment. Location is great as you can walk in to Kos center within 30mins. There's plenty to see and do. Our only negative is some guests can be a bit noisy late at night when returning to their rooms. However, I do understand they are on holiday as well. Thanks to this hotel and staff, we had a great holiday and would definitely return in the future.

Our stay left mixed feelings – we experienced a period that shows how the hotel operates when it is more crowded. At the same time, the hotel hosted large groups of children’s sports teams (without prior notice), which significantly affected the comfort – noise levels were high until very late hours. Additionally, the room construction does not help with soundproofing – thin walls, everything can be heard from the corridor, and the doors close loudly. It is difficult to talk about a relaxing stay. The organization of meals also struggles with higher occupancy – when the terrace is closed, queues form. The staff tries their best, but the issue seems to be systemic. It is also worth noting a few practical points: the selection of alcohol is quite limited (wine, beer, white rum, ouzo, whisky, gin), the gym is paid and requires prior reservation (fee per person), and there are no pool towels provided. The beach is located some distance from the hotel and there is no designated hotel area there. Smoking is allowed in the entrance area, and the smoke also drifts into the lobby.

Second time we visit this hotel and we love it. Clean pool, clean rooms, clean dining area. And off course Poppy. She is just wonderfull. So kind, so friendly and always doing her best for the guests. You are very lucky to have her as a member of staff
