Blue Lagoon Resort

The Blue Lagoon Resort offers a setting designed for convenience and relaxation, which became clear during our stay with a group of ten. The resort’s layout and organisation play an important role in shaping the overall experience, especially for larger groups. One of the resort’s strongest features is the reliability of its staff. Throughout our stay, employees responded quickly and effectively to practical requests, such as arranging taxis, assisting with luggage or managing restaurant reservations. Their consistently friendly attitude made the daily organisation noticeably easier. The resort also proves to be well-suited for group travel. Its spacious layout allows guests to move around easily without feeling crowded, which reduces logistical stress for larger parties. Activities and evening shows were organised in such a way that everyone had the option to join without contributing to overcrowding. Despite these strengths, the resort’s approach to additional fees is a significant drawback. Although it presents itself as all-inclusive, several basic facilities required substantial extra payment. Access to the spa, beach chairs and certain services came with unexpected charges. These added costs can be disappointing for guests who rely on the promise of an all-inclusive formula and expect essential amenities to be part of the package. Overall, the Blue Lagoon Resort offers dependable service and an efficient layout that works particularly well for larger groups. While the extra fees diminish the value of its all-inclusive concept, the friendliness of the staff and the well-organised environment contributed to a comfortable stay. Guests travelling in groups will likely appreciate the resort’s spaciousness and practical structure, provided they are aware of the additional charges.

After booking what we thought was a 5 star, platinum all inclusive hotel, we were excited, however that excitement turned to bitter disappointment when we got there. I will give the pro's first as that is the quickest.... Staff are very attentive and friendly The piano bar is fabulous to relax in with live music most nights and great drinks The hotel grounds a huge and very pretty Negatives The satellite site (where we stayed) is quite a distance from the main hotel site, those less able bodied and with young children will struggle going between the two if not on the golf carts Food in every restaurant we attended was Luke warm at best, with the only hot food being soup made from a powder mix The a la carte restaurants do not cook to order as you would expect, with all food being massive produced and again Luke warm You have to book to gain access to any restaurant apart from the buffet style restaurant Both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are watered down (apart from in the piano bar) If you like a full English breakfast go on elsewhere, the bacon is not proper bacon and the beans are watered down to stretch further The rooms we stayed in were dated and in ill repair (block 8000) and definitely not a 5 star level (beds didn't have bedding to fit, it was a constant fight to be comfortable No milk provided in the rooms for tea or coffee (a guest challenged this and were told it was because the temperature was too hot! Every room had a fridge) Bottled water provided in the room on day 1 was not replenished but you were expected to refill from the taps Our room was not cleaned properly everyday, with me finding other people's hair in it and the sinks and sanitary ware not been cleaned down The shower (a small 800x800 cubicle) was not sealed correctly leading the the floor being wet through (bath mat of no use after one shower), the doors not secured and pulled away, and a bath mixer tap used on the wall which was in the way when washing giving even less space and finally the shower head was fixed in height so impeded washing even further! Overall one of the poorest all inclusive hotels I have stayed in. What was provided was more of a 3 star at best. Thankfully TUI have been brilliant about this and have received our full feedback..my advice is if you are staying in Lambi, don't stay here.

Reading the reviews for the Blue Lagoon, they are so varied I decided to make my own mind up and I encourage you to do that too. If my accommodation is comfortable, clean, well maintained with good food and drink, a place to sit in the sun and excellent staff, I’m happy. And the Blue Lagoon certainly fits that criteria. Not a 5 star like in a big city but it’s worthy of 4. It’s massive but easily navigated especially if you use the golf buggies that whizz around the resort. Hail one like a cab! The themed restaurants are worth visiting. All good food. The only one that disappointed us was the Greek restaurant. We love traditional Greek dishes and thought we would have a choice of halloumi, stifado, kleftiko and souvlaki but the closest we got to Greek food was feta and stuffed vine leaves, both delicious. (And lovely sticky sweet desserts!) Having said that the food was good and we avoided the ‘cold food’ complaints of other reviewers by looking around before we put things on our plates (and looked for a warm plate!). It’s not rocket science. Our room was on the ground floor of a block close to the entertainment marquee, main restaurants, pool and reception. Comfortable bed nice sized shared balcony which was a bit odd, but ok and a clean bathroom. Biggest bugbear was lack of storage. How a family would manage I don’t know. I used the suitcase shelf to pile our clothes on and doubled clothes up on the hangers. 2 drawers isn’t enough and the tiny drawers by the beds are no good for anything. Walking around we noticed the well kept gardens and we’ve never seen such a clean pool. Stunning when lit up at night. The animation team were the best we have experienced ever. Just fantastic. Their evening shows were so professional-so talented. And they were always around in the day chatting to guests and keeping us fit! Pool was freezing though ;) All staff at this hotel are excellent. They work hard as the hotel is so big with over 600 rooms, that’s a lot of people to look after. They all had a smile and a ‘hello’, just lovely. Beach across the road wasn’t good. Tired out sun beds which are charged by the day, worn out wooden walkways and lots of bits of plastic and rubbish. It could be lovely but it’s neglected which is a shame. I didn’t dare look in the portoloos so let’s assume they were ok!! I’d recommend this hotel as we had a lovely week away.

All the staff at reception are really good all the bar staff are exceptional. The bar manager Dina is such a lovely and helpful person and always a smile on her face same as all the bar staff. Linda the manager from guest relations is such a helpful person and very kind. Housekeeping not too bad but could do better in the sense of making sure they leave towels and taking the rubbish out when they’re supposed to but however we called reception and within 10 minutes or so we had fresh towels and rubbish taken away. We met some lovely people/couples (made new friends And can’t wait to see them again next year at the blue lagoon resort) Kos town isn’t that far away from the hotel can get there in a few minutes in a taxi which is about €9 or if you feel like walking it’s about a 30 to 40 minute walk away. Kos is such a beautiful island to visit. We love coming to this place.

Just returned from a fantastic October break at the Blue Lagoon Resort. From start to finish the hotel was just really impressive across the board. We were in a twin room in a block close to reception. The room was immaculate, with comfy beds and a lovely large bathroom. Cleaning service every day with freshly made beds and new towels. The main pool is one of the nicest we have ever seen, and absolutely huge so never crowded, and there were always plenty of loungers whatever time of the day we went down (although I suspect this may change in summer months). Entertainment is great - the entertainment team were really friendly and offered lots of daytime activities. Aquafit was hilarious with so many people joining in. The night time shows were west-end standard as well. We didn’t travel with young children but there was a mini club every day, a fab younger kids pool and a range of things to keep them occupied. There is lots of choice in restaurants for food. I would recommend booking the theme restaurants on check in as slots go fast. The staff are amazing and just can’t do enough for you - there was always service with a smile from the bar and restaurant staff, to the staff on reception and around the complex. We had a late flight and were surprised with a complimentary late check out making our last day so much more relaxing, but I would guess this is trickier for them to offer when the hotel is full. The hotel doesn’t have anything around it, so if you like to saunter out it may not be the place for you, but there is a bus right outside into Kos town, which is really pretty. Already looking at coming back next year. Thank you for a wonderful break in a really beautiful immaculate setting, couldn’t fault a thing.
