Blue Lagoon Resort

The hotel and pool is lovely and the entertainment team is amazing especially the dj Cristian. He knows how to get everyone dancing and involved in activities and created the best atmosphere with the music during the day by the pool and in the evening with the entertainment shows.

We had a really lovely stay at the hotel. The food was very good with plenty of choice, and all the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were a little small, but they had everything we needed and were comfortable enough for our stay. The only downsides were that the beach could have been cleaner and the aquapark was a little far from the main pool. We really enjoyed the entertainment and activities during the day, especially the pool and water games. A special mention to Cristian from the entertainment team always smiling, friendly and full of energy. He made the activities really fun and created a great atmosphere around the pool. Overall, we had a great holiday and really enjoyed our stay. 😊

What a holiday loved every minute. Lots of pools. Lots of food options. Absolute amazing entertainment. I have to single out Isabella for her singing, Milly for her dancing and Brogan for his legs. But the whole animation team were absolutely lovely. Sad that our last night was a Saturday and they weren’t there. Beach not great but pools were better. Improvements. Please put a sports bar on site. Missed the football, golf, cricket boxing and darts. But think wife was happier that there was no sports bar on site. Kids loved the cocktails. Shirley temple, Roy Roger’s and Simpson punch. Didn’t like the speciality food nights. Chinese is more pan Asian and didn’t enjoy, Greek was ok. Italian had too few options. But these were poor because the main restaurant was so good. Loved the variety and especially the deserts. Suggestion, as 80% of staff are from the Philippines put a Philippino restaurant on site. Couple of notes. Pool towels provided. Shop go to the one left out of satellite area walk 800m down tree lined street. Walk on the left side of the road. Shopping centre is so much cheaper than shop on site. Turn right at shop walk 1km and you are in the port of Kos town. Love early morning running on cycle track on beach front. There is a 2.5km stretch and multiple runners on it to keep you company. Ran into Kos town and few days and it is cycle paths all the way. Will definitely miss being called sexy in the main pool. Love the sport, darts was different, water polo and water volleyball were good fun. They have a padel court. Unfortunately didn’t see one person use it. Note: there are lots of Cats. My girls keep a daily count of the cats they saw. Most days averaged 20. We loved them. Especially the loud one as you entered the satellite area.

We had such a fantastic time at the Blue Lagoon Resort! 💙 The staff were amazing, the pools were incredible, and honestly, we really couldn’t fault the place. But what absolutely made the holiday for us was the animation team! 🌟 A massive shout-out to Brogan and Millie — you are both a real credit to the team. Millie especially went above and beyond to help my daughter when she was feeling a little nervous about taking part in the talent show. That little bit of encouragement meant so much to her and made the experience even more special. ❤️ Keep doing what you’re doing, guys! You make such a difference to people’s holidays. Just got back from a week in this hotel. They were very welcoming when we arrived, our room was average with an outdoor area which backed onto the beach and bus stop (we didn’t get much noise from this however). The house keeping do an amazing job at cleaning the rooms and hotel areas. I would like to say that most of the staff in this hotel are from the Philippines and they work exceptionally hard. The entertainment team were fun and would always be seen around the pool conversing with guests etc. The main pool does not have enough sun loungers in my opinion, however if you go down early enough you can get one easily enough. They do say no reserving loungers however most people were out there at 8am getting one. There was no mad rush like you get at other complex’s however (very civilised). The water slides are about a 5minute walk around the complex to get to and our 11 year old loved them, there is no swimming pool in this area so it wasn’t somewhere we would stay for long. The restaurants were hit and miss, pizza was good and my son and I always found vegetarian options to eat. My husband was not overly keen on any of the meat, the sauces for some of the meals were not that great. For instance barbecue sauce was hoisin type taste, curry tasted like spaghetti Bol (the taste buds were definitely confused). The staff were attentive and always cleared plates quickly, got us drinks if we wanted them. We started eating is Nisos restaurant for breakfast as it was a lot quieter each morning and we realised that the 3 specialised restaurants that you have to book were better than the main restaurant for dinner. Our favourite became the Chinese where we ate at for 3 nights in the end. The staff in that restaurant were incredible. Rena Jane, Romel and their team went above and beyond, they work extremely hard to give guests a lovely meal and experience. They were always happy and nothing was any trouble for them, they are such a credit to the hotel and restaurant. Drinks that were part of the all inclusive were not very nice, the alcohol content was like drinking rocket fuel. So strong and actually not pleasant to drink. We ended up mainly drinking soft drinks or diluting the cocktails. Also don’t bother with the iced late, it was awful. Hot lattes by the pool in the morning were fab however! The bus stop outside takes you straight into Kos town which was great. The beach was nice enough and the sunset was an incredible view each evening. On our last day the staff knocked and opened our door at 7.30am to remind us to be out at 11am, not really needed! And although we had a wonderful stay I would just like to say that as animal lovers, it would be nice to see the staff and hotel look after the resident cats a bit better, the cats were friendly and allowed to roam the hotel but all that money that the hotel must be making and some of the cats look like they need some vet treatment. I ended up contacting a cat charity about one of them. It’s sad that the cats rely so much on visitor’s good will and makes me wonder what will happen to them all when the hotel closes at end of season. I think most families who stay here will agree that it is a good hotel for children!
