Gaia Village

Requested a low floor as my husband struggles with mobility. Had a 2 bedroom room which was fantastic. Room cleaned daily if required and sheets frequently changed. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to meet the needs of guests. Food was ok but not great. One tip is that there is a microwave at the end of the warm food section which helped massively. Themed night in by hot Ed restaurant which was good. Local town is 5 mins walk away with restaurants and bars. Overall a good relaxing stay. Pool could do being heated as freezing but smaller pool near reception was a bit warmer.

Myself and husband are just back from Gaia Village after spending a lovely week. We arrived about 10.30pm in the evening and checkin was quick and efficient. All those arriving outside of restaurant hours receive a paper bag containing 2 baguettes filled with ham and cheese, 2 x bottles of water, 2x apples and 2x chocolate biscuits which we hadn't been expecting which we really appreciated. Given map and directions to our room. As it was dark it took us a while but a lovely bartender seen us with map, cases etc and came over asking our room number and took on the pulling of my case and took us to our room. Staff overall are so helpful and pleasant. Our room was on ground floor with veranda, air con, comfy bed and pillows. Telephone, Fridge, lovely wet room and TV although English channels are few and far between Unfortunately, no tea making facilities but we had taken our own kettle, teabags and coffee which we were glad we did. You can hire kettle for €30 which is refunded when you hand it back at end of your stay. Everywhere throughout the site is spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned every day. Our only disappointment was with the food. I understand food is a subjective issue some guests saying it was good but unfortunately not for us. My husband has onion allergy and variety of meals are limited most had onions in. I asked a staff member one evening re the onion issue as my husbands meal consisted of 2 x pieces french stick and butter and he went into chef and explained. The chef came out and offered to make my husband pasta and tomato sauce which was much appreciated so again staff are super. Breakfast and lunch was acceptable but all food is luke warm but was told there is a microwave half way through our stay by other guests which I hadn't noticed. Lack of choice with puddings. Icecream is for children only. Bar snacks during day has a limited selection to choose from. Disappointing variety of drinks also, only lager which again my husband did drink but he is a real ale man lol. My gin and tonics were lovely. We don't drink alot anyway. Red wine is OK. Plenty of really comfortable sunbeds around several pools on site and we had no problem getting sunbeds. Small mini market on site but the location of hotel is excellent as a few mins walk 2 to 3 hundred metres and plenty of tavernas and shops with quite large supermarket not too far away, also about 300 metres in other direction gets you too a large beach. It was only food which let this beautiful hotel down, however, I would happily return to the hotel.

We visited at the very start of the season in early May and found this to be a good choice for a cheap getaway. The hotel itself was better than expected for a 3-star hotel. The Positives: The hotel is very nice and clean. Our rooms were basic but functional, and they were cleaned every single day with fresh towels provided. The staff are friendly but generally leave you alone, which we liked. One of the best parts was the location—it is only a 3-5 minute walk to a lovely beach. Since we arrived early in the season, we never struggled to get a sunbed and didn't need to reserve them at any stage. The Food (The Main Downside): We try not to read too many food reviews about hotel food because food is so subjective, and personal, people like what they like, and with an all-inclusive hotel, there is usually something for everyone. However, on this occasion, we have to agree with the negative reviews. The food is simply not good. Limited Variety: The buffet mainly caters to Germans and offers very little choice unless you like salad or cheese (there is a good salad bar). Not Fussy-Eater Friendly: It is definitely not ideal for picky adults or children. Which we are not! Snacks: The hotel is limited to biscuits, very dry cake, or ice cream. We noticed kids' fingers and hands were in and out of the ice cream tubs continuously throughout the day, which wasn't great. Drinks: We don't drink alcohol, but they did have plenty of soft drinks available. Because the food massively let our stay down, we ended up eating out as much as we could. This wasn't ideal given that we had already paid for the all-inclusive package. There is a supermarket around the corner where we chose to buy our own snacks. Overall Verdict: Great for a clean, budget-friendly base near the beach, but be prepared to spend extra on meals elsewhere.

Ive not reviewed before and we've been here twice. We're also coming back next year as a couple for our anniversary. We came in June 2024 with an 11 year old, 8 year old & 3 month old. Then again in June 2025 with a 12 year old, 9 year old & 15 month old who has food allergies. We adore this hotel. Yes, the beds aren't the comfiest but we're used to memory foam at home 🤣 its unrealistic not to expect to be a bit uncomfortable towards the end. We stay for 10 days each time and its only towards the end of the stay that we miss our beds. Food is absolutely fine. One night a week is Chinese themed and its YUM. There's always plenty of variety. AI will never ever be able to please absolutely everyone. Even with an allergy baby he had plenty of options that involved common sense. Tomato based sauces, veggies, chips, meats etc. The majority of staff speak really good English too and you can also get allergy translation cards from allergy UK just in case you do meet a language barrier (though we didnt!) There's fridges in each room so we bought his oat milk in the local shop and could store it in the fridge. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly & towels changed every other day. Beds are made, rooms tidied up & rubbish emptied on the inbetween days. Entertainment is on 6 nights a week. Anyone that says otherwise is telling fibs. The entertainment staff have one day off. One. The main man in charge of the entertainment loves his job and puts alot of effort in, you can tell hes really passionate. Theres aqua zumba, darts competitions, football, kids club, face painting, children's disco, music quizzes, karaoke, traditional greek dancing, loads of stuff. AI drinks include local beer, gin, rum, vodka, soft drinks etc. The normal standard of all inclusive! The two main barmen are brothers and cocktails aren't even expensive. Every day they do a cocktail of the day for €4 each. Which is still an absolute bargain. In the Midlands you easily pay about 8-10 quid for a cocktail. So any whinging on thats a bit irrelevant. Andi & Luli are brilliant, it wouldnt be the same without them! Pool is kept clean, isn't cold, and theres no fighting for sunbeds at all really. There are odd days where there's a crossover with people going home & new people arriving that it seems to get a bit busier but then it'll go back to normal the next day. Ive not used the gym on site so I cant comment but my husband did, quite a few mornings, and he'd be done & dusted within about 45 minutes while I took the kids for breakfast. So that's not busy and if it was rubbish he'd not have gone back repeatedly! Gardeners are pottering around constantly. They clean the paths and water the greenery every morning. There's no hiding that the staff here are taking care of the place. The room we stayed in last year was definitely more modern than the one this year but they're making their way through them all. But, again, we'd not have rebooked to come back if we didn't love it! Tigaki is stunning. Its not a party scene; its very calm, family friendly and if you do want to go out for food or drinks etc in the evenings you can! There's water sports locally and kos town is only a bus or taxi ride away. From there you can do the port etc. There's also a waterpark. This hotel is absolutely what you make it. We choose to go and have a rest AND a blast and every time we come home we're sad that we're leaving, then rebook so we can count down 🤣

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. There were definitely some positives, but also a few things that let the stay down. Positives: ✅The staff were lovely and always friendly. From reception to the bar staff and cleaners, everyone was polite and welcoming. ✅The location was excellent — just a short walk to everywhere we wanted to go, which made exploring the area really convenient. ✅Our room was cleaned daily, which we appreciated, although the cleaners did sometimes come quite early. Negatives: ❌The food became repetitive quite quickly and didn't really cater for English guests. A bit more variety and some international options would have been appreciated. ❌One of the biggest issues for us was the smoking during the evening entertainment. As someone currently pregnant, it was very uncomfortable to sit there with constant smoke around us. It would really improve the experience to have a clearly designated smoking area away from the main seating. ❌The beds were very uncomfortable, which affected how well we slept. ❌The all-inclusive drinks package was very limited — we were surprised that even popular local drinks like Mythos beer weren't included and had to be paid for. ❌Our room was dated and not like the pictures online. The shower setup was especially poor — the shower head was awkwardly placed on the side wall, making it hard to shower properly. The shower curtain was dirty, stuck to you while showering, and felt unhygienic. A proper glass screen and repositioning of the shower would make a big difference. Overall, the hotel has potential thanks to its great staff and location, but it could really benefit from a few key improvements in comfort, facilities, and how the all-inclusive service is delivered.
