We recently stayed at the Gaia Village Hotel for a week as a family of 5 and had a great holiday. We booked a superior suite which was two bedrooms - this meant one slept on the sofabed which my youngest didn't mind but older children may find it uncomfortable. Overall we were happy with the room. It was modern, AC worked fine, the rooms also had ceiling fans. There is only one small bathroom but had a large walk in shower which was great. Small fridge and kettle so you could make a tea/coffee. We arrived after 11pm. Check-in was ok - person on reception explained how to get to our room but in the dark it was quite difficult. We walked around with our suitcases before eventually the bar staff came and helped us. As we missed the evening meal we were given a bag with baguettes, water, fruit and cake which were welcomed after a long journey. We had read up on the hotel and all the reviews so had mixed feelings of what to expect. Honestly, it beat those expectations. It is a basic all inclusive but that doesn't mean it's bad. This is not a huge hotel complex (which personally we didn't want), it's smaller and more relaxed. The food was lovely. Not a lot of choice but what we ate tasted nice. Breakfast was probably the most basic but a simple coffee and egg on toast made me happy. I would agree that the all inclusive drinks let it down the most. Very limited options but I liked the beer so was happy with that in the day. The entertainment team were fab! Again, it's basic but they were all friendly and did a great job of trying to get everyone involved. If the management read this...please invest in water polo goals, it would be so much fun! Tigaki itself it's great. Plenty of bars, restaurants and shops close by. The beach bars (Paron in particular) are lovely at sunset. The best bit is the beach is only 5 mins walk from the hotel. Although there are better beaches you can drive/travel too - Flamingo beach is close and a nice vibe. We caught the bus to Kos Town and Kardamena from right outside the hotel so it's easy to get around on local transport but it's not that frequent and taxis are like gold dust. Would we stay in Kos again 100%. Would we go back to Tigaki 100% . Would we choose Gaia Village Hotel 100%.

Just back from a 14 night stay at the Gaia Village. When we arrived and checked in it was late at night and we were welcomed with a lunch package for each family member which contained a baguette, apple, biscuits and a water bottle. We were also very lucky and received a room upgrade when we arrived which we greatly appreciated and are very grateful for! We stayed in the superior maisonette (2 bedrooms) it had a bedroom downstairs with its own private balcony and a bedroom upstairs which also had its own private balcony which was perfect for our family! Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very modern and stylish. We did have a little ant infestation in our upstairs bedroom and in the downstairs bedroom we had found 3 cockroaches on separate occasions so just be mindful of leaving balcony doors open etc. We had one bathroom and found the drainage was very bad and would flood very easily especially if washing hair, we later discovered the drains have been blocked with hair from previous guests and it has not been cleaned. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided if needed. We found the food on some nights was nice and other nights we did not enjoy but that is to be expected, we did eat out on 5 occasions of our 14 night stay as Tigkaki offers some lovely restaurants ( just be prepared to bring extra cash for eating out if you get bored of repetitive food) the same goes for the breakfast. The all inclusive drink selection was very minimum but was ok, they offer different cocktails each day ranging from €4-€5 which we enjoyed. Entertainment team did very well trying to get everyone involved in the day and night time activities which was a bit of fun for all! We rented a car for 3 days and got to see the island of Kos which Id highly recommended to anybody thinking of doing it, Zia is a must go to as it’s beautiful watching the sunset but go early as car parking spaces can be limited and expect crowds! Bring repellent sprays and insect bites creams as we were all badly bitten the first week of our trip as you will be ate alive by them if you are not prepared. Overall experience was very good, I would return again as we enjoyed our stay😄

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The entertainer ladies were great with the children and tried to make everyone’s holiday special. The guys begging the bar were welcoming and their cocktails were ideal to help cool down. The rooms were basic, but clean and just what we needed. It had a fridge which was very handy. The restaurant was nice with typical inclusive food. The sweet pudding were limited but there was lots of ice cream. The food was defiantly better quality than the last all inclusive we stayed at. The snacks in between meals were a welcome treat after a morning of swimming. The pools were clean and well maintained. There seem to be plenty of sun loungers, although you had to get there early to get one in a good position as people saved them with their towels. I would defiantly recommend this if you want a reasonably priced place to stay.
