Gaia Village

The staff were all friendly and helpful. The entertainer ladies were great with the children and tried to make everyone’s holiday special. The guys begging the bar were welcoming and their cocktails were ideal to help cool down. The rooms were basic, but clean and just what we needed. It had a fridge which was very handy. The restaurant was nice with typical inclusive food. The sweet pudding were limited but there was lots of ice cream. The food was defiantly better quality than the last all inclusive we stayed at. The snacks in between meals were a welcome treat after a morning of swimming. The pools were clean and well maintained. There seem to be plenty of sun loungers, although you had to get there early to get one in a good position as people saved them with their towels. I would defiantly recommend this if you want a reasonably priced place to stay.

This hotel, for being rated a 3 stars exceeded my expectations. While the entertainment wasn’t the same as maybe some of the 5 stars hotels with an entire crew of people, the three entertainment people that were there working every day and night were awesome, and very kind. The food was probably the main disadvantage but even then there was something for everyone, breakfast was the most difficult for me to find something I wanted and lunch and dinner often had a variety of items that I liked. While the all inclusive drinks were limited, I still found a drink I liked and had that throughout my holiday. The room was great too, with mesh doors so that you can keep your doors open to let some air in without letting any bugs in. The air con worked great too. The staff were lovely, especially the bar staff, who we spoke to quite a few times. The surrounding area is also really good, with a great beach with more friendly staff, and tourist shops dotted around everywhere. Lots of excursions to go on, I really recommend the trips that include going to Zia, it’s really beautiful there.

I am here now, booked for 11 days, really wish I hadn't 🙄 the rooms are very dated, the maid comes every day and cleans and leaves clean towels, the location is out of nowhere 😢 but very close to the beach (the beach is beautiful though) there's a few shops and bars around, it says all inclusive but it isn't, the cocktails you have to pay for, they do a cocktail a day for 4 or 5 euro, you get on the all inclusive wine, red, white or rose, rum, brandy, ouzo, or beer, (not much of an option) the bar is open from 10 am to 11pm, after 11pm you have to pay, they dont serve iced coffee on the all inclusive, tea and coffee is from 7.30 am to 9pm ( after 9pm you have to pay) so if you like your hot drinks bring a mini kettle! You dont get any free water in your fridge, we bought 24 bottles of water from the shop round the corner very cheap! Food is hit and miss, you will always find something to eat but its not the best, there's entertainment staff in a morning and then at night,.its not the best but they do try there hardest, the staff are very friendly and work very hard all day and night. There are 2 pools and loads of sunbeds (no water slides) personally I wouldn't come here again. On arrival you have to pay tax, 5 euro a night, so there is 5 of us for 11 nights it was 110 euro. If your thinking of booking do some research on the hotel, location, etc, we did hire electric bikes which was really fun and cheap, it cost us for 5 electric bikes 70 euro and you can have them all day till 8.30pm and the battery power is excellent, we rode into kos, around kos and back to our hotel.

Requested a low floor as my husband struggles with mobility. Had a 2 bedroom room which was fantastic. Room cleaned daily if required and sheets frequently changed. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to meet the needs of guests. Food was ok but not great. One tip is that there is a microwave at the end of the warm food section which helped massively. Themed night in by hot Ed restaurant which was good. Local town is 5 mins walk away with restaurants and bars. Overall a good relaxing stay. Pool could do being heated as freezing but smaller pool near reception was a bit warmer.

Myself and husband are just back from Gaia Village after spending a lovely week. We arrived about 10.30pm in the evening and checkin was quick and efficient. All those arriving outside of restaurant hours receive a paper bag containing 2 baguettes filled with ham and cheese, 2 x bottles of water, 2x apples and 2x chocolate biscuits which we hadn't been expecting which we really appreciated. Given map and directions to our room. As it was dark it took us a while but a lovely bartender seen us with map, cases etc and came over asking our room number and took on the pulling of my case and took us to our room. Staff overall are so helpful and pleasant. Our room was on ground floor with veranda, air con, comfy bed and pillows. Telephone, Fridge, lovely wet room and TV although English channels are few and far between Unfortunately, no tea making facilities but we had taken our own kettle, teabags and coffee which we were glad we did. You can hire kettle for €30 which is refunded when you hand it back at end of your stay. Everywhere throughout the site is spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned every day. Our only disappointment was with the food. I understand food is a subjective issue some guests saying it was good but unfortunately not for us. My husband has onion allergy and variety of meals are limited most had onions in. I asked a staff member one evening re the onion issue as my husbands meal consisted of 2 x pieces french stick and butter and he went into chef and explained. The chef came out and offered to make my husband pasta and tomato sauce which was much appreciated so again staff are super. Breakfast and lunch was acceptable but all food is luke warm but was told there is a microwave half way through our stay by other guests which I hadn't noticed. Lack of choice with puddings. Icecream is for children only. Bar snacks during day has a limited selection to choose from. Disappointing variety of drinks also, only lager which again my husband did drink but he is a real ale man lol. My gin and tonics were lovely. We don't drink alot anyway. Red wine is OK. Plenty of really comfortable sunbeds around several pools on site and we had no problem getting sunbeds. Small mini market on site but the location of hotel is excellent as a few mins walk 2 to 3 hundred metres and plenty of tavernas and shops with quite large supermarket not too far away, also about 300 metres in other direction gets you too a large beach. It was only food which let this beautiful hotel down, however, I would happily return to the hotel.
