Grecotel Casa Paradiso

Wow, this is not the standard of other Greco hotels I have stayed in . Firstly some of the garden rooms are very dated and so tiny. There are three of us and have a very cramped bathroom, bedroom with tiles and wardrobe from 1960’s era . it’s not something you think to check of the square meterage of a hotel room when you in a holiday resort but I kind of wish I had now. See photos especially bathroom as behind the door is only a shows meant to fit three! Ants in upper rooms too eating not just sugar but interested in any oil based products! So coconut container, smothered in them. Found in the beds, bathrooms and we’ve eaten no food here. Another issue is kids everywhere. This hotel offers free child places so children cannot be avoided. Only last two days it got calmer. À la carte restaurant is just the Veranda outside the lower pool dressed up like a restaurant with white fabric chair covers added to the regular seats to look fancy in a misguided way! The food is very average. For example pastry cases used for the mushroom tart are sweet and then also used for the lemon tart dessert, just so unimaginative and bland. Duck coated in pre-made yellow factory breadcrumbs; it’s all naff and cheap. The upper pool is better of the two if you want to try and experience smarter vibes. The food is decent as it’s lots of Greek food and imaginative vegetables Luke beetroot, chard salads. Guess this meets the standard of Grechotels. However don’t be sold by the ‘bbq’ sounding like another restaurant. It’s attached to the canteen style noisy outdoor seating area of main and really only restaurant AND IS NOT A BBQ (see image) it’s an electric hot plate where they cook mainly dry overcooked meats and some decent veg. We had to make own bed each night (see image) maid just left fresh sheet on the end each day!! What a joke! Bar drinks are average. Had worse but all very sweet. They cannot make a mojito to save their lives. 2-3 mint leaves left floating in the glass. No pounding of multiple mint leaves like it’s supposed to be! Amazed people rave about the street food and ice cream here! Cheap tinned hotdogs and Walls branded ice cream in huge catering tubs is not my idea of good quality. Ants crawling in the pool bar nut container too so I had to ditch my waffle as they came crawling out to meet me. This place has got cheap summer family holiday vibes. After dinner there is nowhere decent or atmospheric to sit and have a drink and play games. This has been massively overlooked. Massive indoor reception area but nobody wants to use it because of poorly constructed area. So it’s back to the room early nights. The sunset should be enjoyable with a bar area, but it’s all the wrong end of the hotel so you can’t sit and enjoy it. The restaurant (or canteen more like) situated right on top of the smarter pool. Never had this. Like a cheap resort crammed in. So we’ve made the best of being here as a family. We vacay 3 times a year spend a decent chunk on accommodation and sadly wasted it here. A week here is plenty. Not enough to keep a 10 day or more holiday going. Bus into town good. Day trip to Bodrum good. Local company in nearby town offer Zia sunset trips at €12 each but didn’t go only regret. In conclusion check your room type. Engineered photos on this site make bungalow rooms for three look amazing but be wary. Check several review sites as this one now seems to have less customer pics more professional hotel ones which are not true to this. Not classy, not Grechotel needs an overhaul desperately.

First off, most of the staff here are lovely as usual in Greece. The place is clean and the pools were just about warm enough in early June for young kids…but bring wetsuits if they want to be in the water a long time. We came with another family and hence couldn’t really fail to have a decent time. The hotel was a bit of a disappointment for us all though in that the rooms are now very tired and in urgent need of a refurb. We have been to other Grecotels and this did not live up to what we thought the brand offered. As an example our fridge stopped working 4 times….we called every time….scatter cushions were stained and furniture was marked and tired. Walls had damage as did doors. The food is also very average and doesn’t change much through the week. Buffet area is a bit small for all the people this hotel can hold. Make sure you book your à la carte booking asap or you won’t get in. Not enough space for many at all here. Sunbeds around all the pools are also a bit of a problem, the hotel says they clear the sunbed reservation towels but I never saw this….do you have to do the same after a few days of missing out. Afternoon snacks around the main pool are really bad. Plain supermarket bread is not a snack. Really not up to what we thought was Grecotel quality and not value for money at all in early June. We paid about £3k all on with TUI for a bungalow partial room, not good at all for that.

Family of four (boy 8 years,girl 4 years). We stay for one week in the middle of June. Hotel was a little disapointent. After possitive reviews, we expected higher standard. In general, hotel looks nice, nicely decorated and clean, nice gardens but in our oppinion it was understaffed. ROOM: We rate bungalow rooms very high, ideal for families with children, gardens are beautiful. But in our opinion, there was lack of storage space for clothes in the room for four people, and there was no chair in the room, or table for comfort, and even though we were 4 people, on the terace there were only two garden chairs. We had issues with water in shower (impossible to predict if it will change to burning hot or freezing cold) and also with cleaning ladies. One day they forgot to take empty glasess from room and terace thus ants came, other day they forgot to give us toilette paper. Towels were replaced every day, room was cleaned every day, but i think this is normal for 4star hotel. We miss tissues, lotion and basic toiletries in the room. And we get only two bottles of water at the arrival, the whole week nothing. I guess bottles of water in room should be included in 4star hotel. We were happily surprised by the hotel beach bag, this was nice gesture. DRINKS: Drinks at bar we rate very high, there was great choice for adults and kids, bar attenders were willing to prepare anything we wanted, but sometimes we have to wait 10-15 minutes, as usually there was only one bar attender in each of two bars. FOOD: Food was very delicious even though the food choice was not very rich, but all food was tastefull. Anything we tried, tasted good but we prefer more sea food, more variety of meat, fresh vegetable and fruit (this was repetitive all week) and we prefer more food for children. We miss basic rice. Pizza, french fries and spaghetti were served every day, but this cannot be rated as kids food.But again, all was very tastefull. On the other hand hotel should pay more attention om cleaningness of plates, glasses, cups, cutlery...this was huge disapointment for me, dirty dishses...in our opinion,hotel should hire more staff in restaurant and bars. Regarding bar near beach, kids love fresh wafles and ice cream every day, snacks were enough also for adults, we could skip lunch at main reataurant and enjoy beach and pool. POOLS: Pools were cleaned, water not chilly, kids enjoyed them. Lifeguards were very nice, funny and pay attention for safety. BEACH: Beach is very beautiful and clean. Enough sun beds. It was very windy during our stay, there were big wawes (yellow flag) almost all week but we enjoyed it a lot. We searched for hotel where is big chance to have big wawes amd we were lucky. There is also possibility of kitesurfing and windsurfing. STAF: In general almost all members of staf tried to be helpfull and kind. We were little dissaponted by animation team. They were not very active during our stay, we did not see one ball game the whole weak. Water polo and beach voleybal were only on schedule,but not in reality. We want to thank the reception for possiblity of later check out, this was helpfull.

This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and honestly, I can hardly imagine ever finding a better hotel. Our stay was absolutely perfect from beginning to end. Even during stressful moments, every staff member — from the reception to the housekeeping team — was always kind, helpful, and welcoming. We were especially touched by the lovely surprise birthday cake for my friend. Small gestures like that make a stay truly unforgettable. I personally did not like Kos as a city that much, but this resort more than made up for it and completely changed my overall experience. Everything was excellent — from the service and the resort itself to the food, which was amazing every single day. We felt welcome every single day, almost like being at home. That warm and caring atmosphere is what makes a place truly special. I am sure I will come back again — not because of Kos, but specifically to stay here once more.

We went to relax in the sun for a week and chose Grecotel because of the bungalows they offer. Since we have a one-year-old son, this was very important to us, as it meant we didn’t have to worry about disturbing other guests if he woke up during the night. We are extremely happy with our choice: Beautiful resort grounds Very welcoming and friendly staff Lovely bungalows. A bit dated, but very clean Good buffet Delicious cocktails Very child-friendly; about 90% of the guests were families Our son turned one during our stay, and we were pleasantly surprised with a cake, a bottle of cava, and balloons. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
