10/10. Looked at the reviews before we flew out and they were a little bit mixed however this has topped our standards and is now our favourite resort. The service from the staff was outstanding. Checking in was a little slow. There are more then enough sunbeds around the pool and if you ever couldn't find one, the staff would get one off the beach for you! That food was great although we only ate here in the evening a couple of times. The food at lunch was amazing and just what you would want, bonus points as you can eat around the sun loungers/beds! There was always loads of empty sunbeds on the beach with water sports. It was slow waiting for a taxi into the town but once your in the taxi its a 10-15 minute drive. Will defiantly be returning when we don't know where to try next!! If your thinking about booking, its your sign to do so!!!

We visited in September 2025 as a family with two children under 5 years old, this was our first holiday in Greece and the Grecotel Luxme Kos was fantastic, we have just booked to return in June next year and will be visiting with another family. Admittedly I was apprehensive following some of the peak season summer reviews however we did not experience anything like some of the negative comments. We arrived very late in the evening and were greeted swiftly and offered food and refreshments, the check in process was friendly and smooth, I always found the reception staff to be welcoming. The chaps at the front who assist with baggage were very friendly and engaging with the kids whenever we met them. Our room was a pool view family bungalow, it was perfectly fine just a little dated for a 5 star hotel however I understand rooms are gradually undergoing upgrades, it was however clean and I found the bed comfortable. The hotel grounds are stunning and the pool areas and artificial beach are very well kept and tended to by staff. Due to the time of year the pools were a little cold however after a couple of days we were used to it. The beach front location is a real bonus and had a quiet and chilled out vibe, there were families around like our own however plenty of areas for couples or those without children to find a quiet spot. We stayed half board and this was great for us, a positive is the ability to swap lunch and evening meals around depending on your plans for the day. We found all of the food and drinks to be of a very good standard and staff provided a friendly and efficient service, the buffet restaurant area is very nice and particularly the outdoor area with a view of the grounds. Next time we are staying all inclusive and look forward to this, if you want to venture out the beach bar 10 min walk down the road or the Taverna opposite are both great with lovely food, We found the taxi service efficient, ordered via reception and always arrived within 10 mins for a ride to Kos Town. The children enjoyed the kids mini disco, its brief on an evening but our children also enjoyed dancing to the various artists/ entertainer’s scheduled through the week for evening entertainment. Comments suggesting this hotel is not 5* I would disagree with, there is a huge range between 5 star resorts depending largely on how much you’re willing to pay, given our experience it’s 5 star and reasonably priced. Overall we loved our stay, the hotel feels relaxed with a peaceful vibe and the staff are all friendly. Absolutely looking forward to our stay next year. The Hotel and Kos itself were a great introduction to visiting Greece.

This was our first ever visit to Grecotel and to Kos and we were just slightly worried as to what might greet us having read some of the very negative views before we arrived. We need not have worried! PLEASE TAKE NO NOTICE PEOPLE ARE JUST SHORT OF BRAIN CELLS! From the moment we arrived with our first cali nichta until we departed 9 nights later with our last Cali mera we couldn't have asked for more. In fact, we were left wondering whether the people that had posted the very negative views actually stayed in the same hotel that we were staying in. Before I go any further, let me make an observation. People who book a hotel with a 5 star rating in Greece are simply not going to get the kind of 5 star service that you get in the UK. If you expect that, you will always be disappointed. So, were we surprised that I couldn't get a decent single malt whisky? No, because I've come not to expect it. Hotels are continually refurbishing on a rotational basis, so the chances are that occasionally, you might not always get a bang-up-to-date room, but hey, how long do you spend in your room anyway! If you want a 5 star hotel in Greece, try the Corfu Imperial or one of the Ikos hotels - but don't complain if you end up paying nearly double treble or quadruple what it will cost you at the Kos Imperial. Were we disappointed. Absolutely not!! What makes this hotel are the beautiful surroundings and the amazing staff. Every single member of staff contributes in some way towards making the holiday memorable - the ladies at reception/front desk, the gardeners who work tirelessly to keep the grounds manicured, the restaurant staff who always serve you with a smile and good conversation, the buffet staff who continually make sure that all the dishes are kept fresh and topped up - these people are the 'unsung heroes' that make this hotel what it is, but then, the Greek people are some of the nicest, friendliest, family oriented, people you could ever wish to meet. We were met and directed to our table every day by Christoph … when we arrived it was heaving he directed everyone with a smile …. Nonika served coffee to everyone with a warm welcoming smile. Earnest brought us cocktails on the beach made by a fabulous Greek man with a wicked sense of humour!!! Gramatika helped us find lots to visit and do. And we LOVED all her notes and advice. All the restaurants are spot on, the food is excellent, and there are sufficient wines available, including international wines if you prefer. There is one other thing we must mention. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary whilst we were out in Kos and had notified the hotel before our arrival. Wow! Did they look after us!! As it was end of the season they gave us a slightly bigger room and a bottle of Prosecco and a cake!!! Then we found a bottle of red!!! Our special thanks go to our cleaning ladies who kept our room AMAZING for us!! Also the boiling hot spring into the sea a mile away is a memorable visit we’d truly recommend your skin feels amazing after. In summary, we had a truly memorable holiday. Would we go back? Without doubt! if you're thinking of going, just remember not to expect perfection. It isn't realistic. What you will get is a team of people who will bend over backwards to make your stay a memorable one. And warm sunshine. You can hire bicycles for peanuts and cycle into and around Kos town swim from sandy beaches and eat/drink at the Lemon cafe and amazing shops and restaurants. Or you can just laze by a salt pool or play in the other pools or let your kids ride the lazy river on a Lilo or play in the sand pit! Put walk down the beach. It’s pure heaven!
