Grecotel LUXME Kos

It’s important to say that this is our 3rd Grecotel Lux Me stay. White Crete was exceptional, Dama Dama … not great , Kos not bad at all. The rooms are not Lux, they are old and tired but kept very clean and tidy. We had a problem with the bathroom but it was fixed quickly, however it exposes the age. Service and people was very good, Ewe in the main restaurant during the day was exceptional as was a gentleman in the evening which sadly we didn’t see his name but overall lovely. The issues were management and à la carte. On management, they were mostly aloof and the epitome of that was a lady ( think Greek) with long black hair - difficult to see her nam, but she was rude, aloof and regularly barged in front of guests or abused lower staff in front of guests - as did other managers to be fair! Main restaurant was good, had a good wine list but frankly was a bit repetitive and no where near the quality of Crete. À la Carte was ok but had some major floors in terms of manpower and food delivery ( example Italian offered hot stones but by the time meat was cooked, everything else was cold!) Need to think through offerings/delivery Beverages didn’t lux me. I am mostly a wine drinker and in the restaurants could find something but in the bars it was very different. Mostly they offered 1 white wine - a Sauvignon Blanc, fine it you drink it but not if you don’t. The resort did suffer from ambience, entertainment was basically an offer at 2100 in the pool bar area. There was little or no music around the pools or lounges otherwise and I think based on the customer base I saw, this is a big mistake Overall I would definitely go back to Crete but I wonder if it’s worth risking the other Lux Me destinations based on 2 further experiences

Stayed at the hotel in early june, and could not fault it. Staff were all excellent, especially around the pool, always coming round to take our drinks order. Breakfast and lunch were all good, plenty of choice, did not have buffet dinner as we either went ala carte or went out for dinner. Ala carte restaurants were all good, possibly topped by the asian restaurant on the beach. Sunbeds were redily available, with plenty by the beach, but it was early June. Rooms were clean, as were the swimming pools TIPS: beach area has a man made area with sand around the sunbeds, but it is a stoney beach, so beach shoes are highly recommended. but the water is so clear, with a lot of fish, so good for snorkeling. insect repellant is advised for evenings by the beach. I would be happy to go back to this hotel, if i can afford it

First time jet skiing by myself and all 3 made me feel so comfortable they explained everything so well eventho I was scared by myself as a girl. Would definitely recommend to anyone in Greece, Kos

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Grecotel LuxMe Kos and can honestly say it exceeded our expectations. After reading some negative reviews before travelling, we were a little concerned, but our experience could not have been more different. Our room had been refurbished, was modern and comfortable, and was kept impeccably clean throughout our stay. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful, well maintained, and provide a lovely setting for a relaxing holiday. What really sets this hotel apart is its staff. Every member of the team we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely eager to help. A special thank you to Nikos at the Lobby Bar, who really looked after my family and me throughout our stay. He quickly learned all of our favourite drinks, made sure our glasses were never empty, and it was a pleasure chatting with him every day. His friendly personality and excellent service made a real difference to our holiday. We would also like to thank Lydia on the Concierge Desk, who was incredibly helpful when arranging excursions. She organised our trip to Zia Village and even secured us a reservation at Oromedon. To make sure everything was perfect, she called the restaurant three times on the day to ensure we received the best possible table. Her attention to detail was exceptional. Manos and Vaelkare on Reception were both extremely helpful on our final day, making the check-out process smooth and stress-free, and Christopher, who we saw in several of the restaurants, always greeted us warmly and remembered our preferred drinks, which added a personal touch to every meal. Maria at the salon was exceptional, my wife and daughter went several times and each time Maria was kind, welcoming and her hairdressing skills were amazing. Definitely worth a trip to the salon if you want to be pampered. We went to all of the A’la carte restaurants which were excellent and they always had vegetarian options for me and my wife. One improvement I can suggest is that they label vegetarian dishes in the buffet restaurants as this was not clear, however, the staff were always helpful when we asked. Thank you to everyone at Grecotel LuxMe Kos for making our holiday so enjoyable. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and would happily return in the future.
