The staff are truly amazing, from the minute we arrived they were so welcoming. We booked a private transfer via the hotel and we were collected by a Mercedes mini bus which cost only €55. Check-in was quick and efficient and I love the fact that this hotel doesn’t use wristbands for all inclusive guests. We were kindly given a free upgrade to a garden room with a shared pool. The room itself is lovely, though the bathroom could use a bit of a refresh, but it was spotless. But please remove the telephone that is next to the loo 😂! Since we were on the ground floor, we also had sun loungers which is a bonus. Mini bar stocked up every day with beer and soft drinks. The food in the main restaurant is excellent, with a fantastic selection of dishes and a different theme every night. Breakfast fantastic, great choices and the most amazing selection of cake and pastries. It also has an adults only dining section. I especially love how the female restaurant staff all wear beautiful matching dresses. We booked into all the al a cart restaurants via the app which was very easy to use. We did have to change one however as we went out to Bodrum for the day. But this was easily rebooked at reception. The Greek restaurant was excellent, it’s a fixed menu and courses are plentiful. The mini disco is close by, so if you want to avoid kids music etc, book after nine o’clock. The Italian restaurant was also excellent. We chose hot stones specially and I ordered prawns that were huge and delicious. 1930’s Bar - Fine Dining was just incredible, with a small menu of high quality food. This is our last evening of our holiday and we have just eaten at the Asian restaurant, and wow what an end to our holiday. Fabulous views across the Mediterranean, and again the food was excellent. You won’t go hungry at this hotel, and you can get food anytime of the day. Plus, there’s even a midnight buffet until one o’clock. If you’re a chocoholic you can visit the chocolaterie every evening near the main restaurant. Stunning! Drinks are excellent, the hotel has an extensive wine selection and cocktails are freshly made to order. Sprits are premium and again, the hotel has a great choice. There are plenty of sunbeds, so you’ll always find one, but of course, the usual early risers are out putting the towels down. Fresh pool towels. As many as you want, just drop off your wet one and pick up a fresh one. Minas at the garden pool bar was an absolute star, he ensures that everyone is looked after and greets you by name and remembers what you are drinking. On the day of writing this review there was almost 800 people staying at the hotel, and we still felt that we were being treated personally. Negatives. There isn’t enough outdoor seating in the evening. We enjoyed sitting at the Lobby bar, but we had to stand and wait for a table. The most frustrating thing is that the tables are set for 4 people, but the majority of the tables are couples, so seats are unoccupied. Please split them up and add some more tables. We also decided to watch the entertainment on Friday night down at the beach bar, unfortunately again there was nowhere to sit and a lot of people were standing to watch the show. We booked through TUI and came all inclusive and we are certainly going to return again, hopefully very soon. Travel tips If you’re planning to go into the sea, bring some beach shoes because those pebbles can be quite painful.
We stayed at this hotel for the second consecutive year with our family of four. Just like last year, we spent seven wonderful days here and once again had a very enjoyable experience. Upon arrival, the reception team warmly welcomed us and assisted us with the check-in process, followed by transportation to our room. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options every day, catering to all tastes. The drinks at the lobby bar were equally impressive and of excellent quality. The beach is pebbled, which may not suit everyone, but for us it was absolutely beautiful and perfect for swimming. The swimming pools were lovely and well-maintained. The only downside was that it was sometimes difficult to find available sunbeds, so we had to wake up early to secure a spot. Our room, a maisonette located near the pool bar, was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We experienced a few minor issues, including a squeaky bed, some bathroom water-related problems, and a malfunctioning safe. However, the staff responded promptly and were always available to help resolve any concerns. We would like to sincerely thank the entire team for their warmth, hospitality, and excellent service. A special thank you goes to Lefteris from Reception (“Doctor for Safe”), who was by our side from the moment we arrived until our departure, always willing to assist with a smile. We look forward to returning soon. See you soon, Freedom! 😊 See you soon, Grecotel Kos!
Stayed here for 4 days having been moved from another Grecotel on the island. Hotel looks stunning on arrival and staff are very welcoming. Complex is amazing. Saltwater pools not my ideal but were ok. Restaurant (buffet) was superb. Didn't use a la carte. Drinks service int he bars and round pool was a bit hit and miss, Could be really slow at times. Biggest let downs were the room and communal areas. Room was clean and bed was comfortable but it was so so dated and poorly appointed. Shower was useless. Sharp edges on metal trims. Communal toilets were awful. Toilets by pool bar stunk and ones in the hotel lobby area looked like they had been kicked in. Ripped a brand new t shirt on overhanging door latch but hotel not interested, other than to say 'that is unfortunate' If the rooms and communal areas were brought up to the same standard as the main areas it would be amazing.
Returned yesterday from Grecotel Luxme Kos. The hotel is absolutely fabulous, the decor in the hotel was beautiful. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. The food was amazing in all of the restaurants. Our room was perfect, very quiet and kept spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend this dream of a hotel, and will certainly return . 5 star luxury holiday.
We had the most amazing stay. The hotel and facilities are amazing. The food was absolutely exceptional, buffet and the restaurants. A personal highlight was the service we got in the evenings from one waiter. Xhoni (John). He gave us the best service from any waiter we have ever had. We are a family of 6 with 2 young children. He knew us all by name and couldn’t do enough for us. It was exceptional and he is an absolutely lovely man. One small downside which is why it wasn’t quite perfect was the Greek taverna restaurant. The service was pretty poor. We had a 2 glasses of wine dropped. Consistently struggled to get service for drinks, then when we finally did order some drinks we had another waiter (Stergios) come and ask for our order again (this happened twice… it was so weird and uncomfortable) At the end of the meal we gave the feedback to the host and they just acted like we were complimenting them … was a very strange situation. The children’s entertainers were brilliant. Greta was brilliant. The kids disco was the same every night, would be great if they mixed that up. I would also like to add how fantastic the concierge service was. They had a WhatsApp number and there was never a task too big for them. They were great! Would definitely recommend this hotel. Xhoni, thanks for making our stay so special!
