A very special thank you to Henry, Arvind (Kim), Lino Jr, Robert, Nicole, Joshua, and the rest of the amazing Filipino Team. Each of them was incredibly polite, friendly, professional, warm, and genuinely caring. Their smiles, positive attitudes, and willingness to go the extra mile made us feel truly welcomed and valued. They consistently showed great hospitality and made our stay even more enjoyable. It is clear that they take great pride in what they do, and their kindness and professionalism deserve to be recognized. They are a real credit to the resort and played a big part in making our experience so memorable. We would happily return to Michelangelo Resort & Spa and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful resort with genuinely outstanding hospitality.
An absolute gem! The spa manager Valasia at Therme Spa at Michelangelo Resort and Spa provided a warm, professional welcome. Our massages by Meluchie and Lia were deeply relaxing and melted all tension away, while the manicure and pedicure by Marianthi were done with incredible precision and care. She also fixed my son’s painful toe nail. Immaculate facilities and top-tier service. Thank you all so much. Highly recommended!
Currently on our 10th day at the hotel. It is in a stunning location, certainly worth paying for the view and infinity pool for sure! The food is good quality, plenty of choice, all hotel staff are friendly especially our room cleaner Georgia who has looked after us completely, greeting us with smiles every day and nothing is too much trouble to ask for. Thank you Georgia for making our stay so wonderful!! A trip into Kos Town will only take 15 mins on the bus directly outside the hotel and definitely worth a visit, lots of lovely shops, tavernas and the marina. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!!!
Very clean and well-managed hotel The food and service were outstanding, and the view from the infinity pool was breathtaking. Special thanks to the hotel manager, who was always attentive and genuinely dedicated to making every guest’s stay memorable.
I travelled to the Michelangelo Resort & Spa as a solo parent with two children and, unfortunately, our experience was a very mixed bag. While the hotel itself is undoubtedly beautiful, the level of service simply did not match what I would expect from a five-star resort. If genuine five-star service is important to you, I would recommend looking elsewhere. The positives, The setting is absolutely beautiful. Perched on the clifftop, the hotel has stunning views and the infinity pool is undoubtedly one of its biggest selling points. The grounds are also very well maintained and the pool bar service was generally good. If you want a sunbed around the main infinity pool, be prepared to get there very early, as they are taken quickly. This didn’t particularly bother us, as we actually preferred the pool closer to reception. It was quieter, more convenient with the children and generally a much more relaxing place for us to spend the day. The rooms are adequate, although I would definitely recommend paying for an upgrade to a sea-view room. Waking up to the view each morning was lovely and certainly added to our stay. Families and kids’ club. If having a good kids’ club is important to your holiday, I would consider a different hotel. The kids’ club here is essentially housed in what looks like a garden shed and appeared very tired and limited. It certainly wasn’t a particularly enticing space for children. To be fair, we didn’t use the kids’ club so I can’t comment on the activities or the staff running it. However, based purely on the facilities we saw, it wasn’t comparable to the children’s clubs and facilities I would expect from a five-star resort. Unfortunately, the service really let it down On arrival, the sofa bed for one of my children had not been made up. Despite multiple requests to both reception and housekeeping, we waited eight and a half hours for this to be sorted. It was eventually made up at around 10.30pm, after a very early start and a long day travelling with two children. For a five-star hotel, I found this completely unacceptable. The television in our room also didn’t work, and housekeeping throughout our stay was poor. On several days, our room wasn’t serviced until around 6pm. More generally, the attitude and attentiveness of some staff was disappointing. We regularly saw staff scrolling on their phones, particularly around the main bar, and very few staff made an effort to engage with us. Many of the restaurant staff appeared unhappy to be there and service wasn’t proactive. Tables were often left with dirty plates, glasses and cups for far too long, both in the main dining areas and around the poolside restaurant. It simply didn’t create the atmosphere or level of service you would associate with a five-star resort. The gym. The gym is another area that could really do with some investment. It’s fairly limited, particularly when it comes to weights, with very few low to medium-weight options available. There are also Wattbikes, but during our stay only one of them was working. If training while you’re away is important to you, you may find the facilities frustrating. The gym generally feels tired and in need of updating, particularly for a hotel of this standard. Food and location. The food was adequate rather than exceptional. The all-inclusive wine selection was particularly poor – both the rosé and white wine were extremely unpleasant and tasted more like vinegar than wine. It’s also worth being aware that the hotel is quite remote. If you want to visit Kos Town, you’ll need to factor in taxis or other transport. Overall. I did raise some of my concerns, particularly regarding the room not being properly prepared for two children, with Elena in Guest Relations. She was very kind, apologetic and genuinely tried her best to rectify things, which I appreciated. However, as we were only staying for four days, there wasn’t really enough time for the hotel to turn the experience around. In truth, I was glad we hadn’t booked for seven nights, as four days felt more than enough. The Michelangelo has all the ingredients of a fantastic five-star resort – a spectacular location, beautiful pools and wonderful views – but there is a significant gap between the quality of the facilities and the standard of service. For a hotel marketing itself as five-star, much more needs to be done to ensure that staff understand and consistently deliver the level of service guests are paying for. Sadly, we wouldn’t return.
