We booked this hotel for my husband’s 40th birthday, having previously stayed at Kantouni Beach Boutique Hotel, which is part of the same hotel group. Our experience there was absolutely outstanding, so we arrived here with high expectations – especially as this hotel has an extra star. While there were certainly some positives, overall our stay didn’t quite live up to what we had hoped for. The good: There are definitely aspects worth mentioning positively. Jimmy at the bar was fantastic – attentive, friendly, and a real credit to the team. The bell boys were also extremely welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated the thoughtful touch of cake and fruit in the room on arrival. The pool area is undeniably beautiful, with stunning views and very comfortable sunbeds. The swim-up bar is a great feature, and Wi-Fi coverage across the hotel was excellent. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable, and our housekeeper, Julie, was always friendly and cheerful. The gym was also well equipped and a pleasant surprise. The not-so-good: Unfortunately, the service and overall feel didn’t match what you would expect from a five-star hotel. While the facilities might technically qualify for the rating, the experience and service level didn’t reflect it. Breakfast was good, but lunch and dinner were quite repetitive, and drink service in the restaurants was slow – getting refills often felt like a struggle. Many of the staff at the bars, reception, and restaurants were not particularly warm or friendly, and a few were outright rude at times. Some practical details also let things down. Bottled water in the room wasn’t replenished daily, and paper cups and wooden spoons were provided – understandable if glass can’t be used, but reusable plastic would be a better, more eco-friendly alternative. The food setup could also be more hygienic – birds frequently landed on and pecked at the uncovered bread, which was off-putting. It was also disappointing to see several staff members on their phones while on duty, often in full view of guests. It gave the impression of disengagement and didn’t align with the level of professionalism you’d expect at a hotel of this standard. Replacing beach towels was oddly inconvenient, as they had to be collected from the spa in the opposite direction from the pool area. The cocktails included in the all-inclusive package were also very disappointing – most tasted artificial, made from pre-mixed cartons rather than freshly prepared. We were also surprised to find that you can’t just use the sauna or spa pool freely, even when completely empty, without booking a treatment. One incident in particular left a bad impression. We booked a transfer via reception to a cooking class, which cost €50 one way – surprisingly high. When we needed to change the return time, the host of the class kindly called the hotel to rearrange it. However, our transfer never arrived. The hotel staff were unhelpful and blamed us, insisting they had called (we had no missed calls), and were dismissive over the phone. Eventually they realised the error was theirs, and the new return transfer they arranged cost much less – which made the original price even more puzzling. They were also unnecessarily rude to the host who was simply trying to assist us. Finally, seeing children using the gym was another small but telling detail – something that wouldn’t normally happen in a genuine five-star setting. Overall: There are definitely some redeeming features – the setting is beautiful, the pool area lovely, and certain staff members went out of their way to be kind. But the overall service, attention to detail, and professionalism fell short of five-star standards, especially compared to Kantouni Beach Boutique Hotel. With improvements in hospitality, consistency, and guest care, this hotel could truly live up to its potential.
Sad to leave a negative review but the cleanliness here isn’t great. Our room wasn’t cleaned properly, birds in the restaurant and staff quite miserable. However the view is INCREDIBLE. I would say it’s more a 3* for service and cleanliness
Although the room was nice it was next to the room which housed all the cleaners equipment so very noisy in the morning. Also next to the balcony was the sewage drain! Not impressed but as we're not balcony people it didn't bother us. Agree with other reviews regarding the drinks; they were awful I just drank soft drinks as the spirits, etc tasted dreadful and the bar staff were rude. The cleaners and restaurant staff and the lady selling coffee on the beach were lovely. Reception desk staff, although very nice, weren't really on the ball. My review is mixed so it's not somewhere we would return to. I think with a bit more attention to detail in some areas of the hotel it could really be rated as 5 star but in my opinion definitely only 3 star. My partner and I are not picky or moaners and we only complain when necessary.
Stayed here for 11 nights, beautiful hotel, pool view out to sea is amazing. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, food choices are excellent, all fresh and cooked well. The specialty restaurants were fabulous. You book these on arrival. Spa area is lovely. The staff are what makes this hotel, very attentive, polite, happy and put customers first. Dimitris, and the others on the infinity pool bar we're fabulous. Thank you for the special cocktails. Pools are cold but once your in it's lovely. Only negatives, I would say a slight improvement in the cocktail choice for all inclusive, don't like pre mixed ingredients, fresh is much better. Our room had a smell of drains, some days worse than others, think it's a common problem in Greece. Apart from that everything else was perfect. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
Horrible Holiday Don’t Go Here !!! Where to start - what a horrible experience this has been. We booked this hotel based on other reviews and the so called 5 star rating. We were disappointed from the beginning when we were showed our junior suite - it was dog eared tired and scruffy - the view we had was a building site ! Nothing in the mini bar - water down toiletries - old dirty pillows and ants all over the balcony and inside the room. The food was discussing and of poor quality - there were birds eating the products and pooing all over the furniture. The drinks weren’t any better we were all inclusive and the mixer were consistently flat and I like a vodka and I have never any so repulsive in my life - it just tasted of chemicals. We would never return to this hotel the management weren’t very helpful and borderline rude.
