Porto Bello Beach

Great location, loved watching the planes coming in . Also on the beach which was spotless and safe for kids, feed the fish as its crystal clear and plenty of free sunbeds and umbrellas, tho no small tables to place drinks. Beach bar was great. Our room was big and spotless . Towels changed everyday and water in the fridge. Great value. We asked for a quiet room away from the pool area and low level. We got what we asked for. It was lovely. Can recommend the meditation restaurant, main and Greek. Did not enjoy the Italian. The food was very bland ! Worsted food throughout our stay. Also no atmosphere there. Wine was extra too ! Staff in the restaurant's are all dressed immaculate, every day with a smile ! Service ... The only problem we had was Katrina on reception. One word .. rude ! This lady should not be at the front of house ! Or in hospitality ! Would not listen. Yet all other staff on reception where fine. Every member of staff we met thought this hotel could not do enough to give great service ! All bar staff, in the restaurant's, entertainment and even the cleaning staff. Great service. We went with TUI and the reps where very good ! Great onsite shop, with helpful staff. Spa was great too. Beautiful well kept clean gardens! Downside to this hotel. Ice creams for the kids, only at the pool bar after 2.30 pm when the main restaurant closes. Might be good to have around the pool areas. Evening entertainment, only ok. Not a fan of where the mini disco is. not a great seating area, did not feel safe and over crowded for little ones. Would not visit this hotel tho after second week in June. Way too busy and not that relaxing. But staff cope well. Hay if you want a full on fun busy place its great. Over all a lovely place.

Nice family hotel right next to a beautiful beach, good food, clean everywhere. The children also enjoyed the perfect animation program with Andreas who speaks several world languages, including Czech, and to whom we thank him very much!!!

Again great vacation. Beautiful accommodation and own pool. Cleaning in order. Only mattress more stretched. Food - still plenty to choose from. Beach clean, sandy, gentle waves, no rough waves. Enough free sunbeds on the beach any time during the day. Bars both by the pool and by the sea. Great animation program, especially for children, like by the pool, and at the mini disco. Finally we waited for the Czech animator Andreas. Thanks to him the children also participated in activities that they otherwise missed with English-speaking animators.

4.5 ⭐️ Writing this review from my sunbed on an amazing family holiday. Our first one with our children (6&11). Myself and my partner came to this hotel in 2018 - we loved it then and I think this time round has been even better. Rooms - the rooms are modern, relaxing and kept so clean! The housekeepers come each day and beds are always freshly made with clean towels left. There are beach towels available which you can change throughout the week at the spa. I brought shampoo, conditioner and shower gel with us but didn’t need to as they have this available in big bottles in the showers and it’s really nice quality. When you are running low the cleaners will replenish this. We have a family room with a bunk bed and a pool view room which has been great for us with lots of space. Pool - the pool is a great size & even when busy it’s still not too overcrowded. There is a smaller pool for the young children to paddle in which is separate to the main pool. The only thing I would say with the pool is it is quite deep so even though our youngest can swim we have still kept him in armbands just to keep him safe in the water. The pool bar can get quite busy but we’re never waiting any longer than a few minutes to be served. The ice coffees are lovely! Food - the only reason I haven’t give this review 5 stars. When we came in 2018 I don’t remember having an issue with the food but we have found this time round that it has been very repetitive. Although there is a lot of choice I have still struggled to eat each night without eating the same thing. Lunch is definitely the best meal of the day and I’ve found I’m eating more at lunch to make up for not eating much at dinner. The food sometimes does run out as well and it can be a while before it’s replenished. Shout out to Joseph one of the waiters who is always so friendly and also another lady who doesn’t wear a name tag but remembered our boys names from the first day and always says hello to them everytime we eat. Entertainment - we have found the entertainment great! There is a kids disco and a show each night down at the amphitheater which my 6 year old has really enjoyed. If the shows aren’t for you there is usually music or something else such as bingo going on in the hotel. The bingo was so much fun. The entertainment staff work so hard and each day they bring the fun and energy around the pool. Ellie has particularly stood out to us and has been so friendly and helpful. We’ve had many chats and she is lovely and so nice to talk too. You can tell she really enjoys her job and is always really smiley. The entertainment staff do lots of activities throughout the day at the pool and the beach and it’s been lovely for us to join in. Erwin has also been great and is really good with the kids. Andreas always manages to get the crowd going and is none stop fun from start to finish. The beach is fab but it’s gets so hot!! I would definitely recommend sand shoes for adults and kids as the sand is unbearable on your feet. There is a beach bar which offers hot dogs, burgers and cheese toasties however I wouldn’t recommend the toasties as the bread is so thick and not enough cheese. You can take a bus or a taxi into Kardamena hi which is a lovely little town. We came for a wander one evening and it was nice to have a change of scenery a some different food. It is 10 euros in a taxi each way. Overall we are having the best time and are gutted to be going home. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. I would absolutely recommend this to other families - you will love it!

Such an incredible hotel. Rooms were spacious and cleaned every day, the view from our room was so beautiful, food was unbelievable, hotel was spotless, entertainment was great, beach was stunning, pool was well kept. We really didn’t want to leave and wish we booked a longer stay. The most special part was all the amazing staff at Porto bello that always went out there way to interact with the little ones, very attentive and went above and beyond for us. Massive shout out to Marlon and marcella who was my daughter’s favourite part of the day. Will definitely be returning!
