TUI BLUE Oceanis Beach Resort & Spa

Traveled for years 5* this is not in anyway 5* I was reluctant to give it 2* same as the last review house keeping is shambolic someone needs to get a grip of this very poor .countless calls to reception for water ,tea,coffee and milk very poor the worst I have came up against I will be complaining to Tui when I get back one day our room was not touched at all they just left towels only please see photos I will not come back here again and the mini bar never ever known once every 3 days it’s 5* or so they would have you believe every 5* I have been to anywhere the mini bar is filled daily but not here the only plus points this hotel has all the restaurants serve good food but it stops there the drinks alcoholic are very poor . Romeos restaurant 100 yards turn right is a very nice restaurant with better cocktails I can not praise them enough great food and drink apparently top for the area we enjoyed our lobster ask for a source for it like garlic butter . If you want a taxi god help you they hate coming out this far get the bus at 2 Euro the beds are rock hard we had a family room with private pool the room and pool was fantastic you will need to ask for the vip lounge key card we found out after being here a week so not offered freely as it should be this does show the hotel as it is poor we leave soon felling absolutely robbed and disappointed the hotel should feel ashamed of itself ex specially the manager he needs to wake up being a manager myself is he turning a blind eye ?

We returned home in the early hours of this morning after our 4th visit to this fantastic hotel and we are already planning number 5! Lovely room overlooking the quiet pool also with a sea view, comfortable bed and good shower. Daily housekeeping with bottle water plentiful and a small fridge restocked every 3rd day with beer & soft drinks Aqua Gym every day was great fun with many people participating. We didn’t take part in any other daytime activities. The evening entertainment is fine, the tenors show is very good but other than that, we found it rather repetitive - to the point where the quiz questions were the same in week 2 as they were in week 1! There is a reason why this hotel has so many repeat guests though and that is the wonderful staff, we met many familiar faces from our previous visits as well as great new additions to the team. Too many to name them all but special mentions to the lovely Lorena at the bar by the quiet pool and the evening team at Apollon Bar (the ‘no alcohol beer man’ says hello and thank you!) We’ve rarely been to a hotel where the hotel manager is so present during the busy hours but Stefanos is always visible around the hotel, chatting with the guests and ensuring all is running smoothly. Thanks also to Antonis & George in the main restaurant for always finding us a lovely table and to Chef for my lovely breakfast omelettes (some of my fellow guests could have been a little more polite rather just pointing to ham & tomatoes, a simple Good Morning goes a long way!) All in all, a fabulous two weeks - thank you Oceanis, we will see you again soon!

At first glance, everything seems fine, but once you start paying attention to the details, it quickly becomes disappointing. The staff are friendly, although it definitely felt like some guests were treated better than others. If they already knew you, or if you were a group of women, the service seemed noticeably more welcoming. We also felt there was a double standard at reception. This was noticeable during check-in, the way housekeeping complaints were handled, the fact that our complaints were barely documented, and the very limited compensation that was offered. Overall, we didn't feel our concerns were taken seriously. The rooms are decent, but housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. There was dust in several places, the floors hardly seemed to be cleaned, and we even questioned whether the towels had actually been replaced. On top of that, the minibar wasn't fully stocked when we checked in, which is something you would expect as a new guest. There was also a noticeable sewage smell in different areas of the hotel. Lunch was by far the weakest meal of the day: very limited choice and nothing special. The crêpes at the quiet pool were definitely a highlight. Dinner was better, although the quality varied quite a bit from day to day. Keep in mind that this is advertised as an all-inclusive resort, yet you'll still have to pay extra for a decent cup of coffee and for many of the cocktails. That's not what we expect from a 5-star all-inclusive hotel. The evening entertainment is extremely loud, making it almost impossible to get an early night's sleep. The rooms are also very poorly soundproofed. There are far too few sunbeds around the pool. If you don't reserve one by around 7:30 a.m., you'll most likely miss out for the rest of the day. Fortunately, there are plenty of sunbeds available on the beach. Overall, this hotel simply doesn't live up to its 5-star rating. Unfortunately, it's not a hotel we would choose to return to.

Absolutely lovely, warm, and charming, we had a lovely time at the Oceanis Beach resort. The staff were first class in every aspect. We could not have wished for a better hotel or location to stay for 2 weeks. Although we travelled the island and visited many of its special places, there was plenty to do at the resort. We would strongly recommend this hotel to you and advise hiring a car to travel around the island and visit Kos town regularly, and to book the excursions in town for the 3-island trip and the ferry to Bodrum.

Review: We have just returned from an absolutely amazing stay at TUI BLUE Oceanis (Ocianos) in Kos, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. From the moment you arrive, you realize this place is organized within an inch of its life—everything just runs like clockwork. The resort itself is incredibly peaceful, spotlessly clean, and surrounded by beautiful, lush green gardens that give it a really lovely atmosphere. The staff are genuinely nice, friendly people who can’t do enough for you. As for the food, it’s really, really good across the board, but a special shoutout has to go to the Italian à la carte restaurant, which was phenomenal. Entertainment is quality and lively, it finishes at 11:00 so as not to disturb the guests. The cocktails are the best we’ve had, again quality- the bar staff are brilliant working hard to make our stay effortless. I have to say all staff work very hard here, especially the guys in the restaurants. Very appreciated I’m not sure if this level of perfection is typical for all TUI BLUE resorts, but this particular one is absolutely brilliant. Plus, the fact that it’s adults-only with no kids around made it the ultimate relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back!
