Returning Guests with first time friends visiting Let’s start with the negatives the Beach thatched umbrellas or parasols could do with some hooks that are fixed into the wooden posts for people’s bags or tops If you’re looking for an early night the nightly entertainment will go onto 23:00 so expect to hear that until then or bring ear defenders to block out the music That’s the only negatives The hotel Situated in lovely well kept gardens literally metres from the beach ( it’s both sand and pebbles ) so can change appearance due to higher tides or waves Sea ( bring beach shoes Across the road is Romeo’s Bar it’s very good value , great service and any sport you want they put it on You’re literally 10 minutes away from old town it’s 2 euros per person in and 1.70 euros back ( time tables on reception desk ) Old town has the habour , castle entry is 5 euros lots of beautiful restaurants and bars in cobbled streets and no hassle Warning every piece of the old town is guarded by cats who are very respectful and welcome you to your table or allow photos of them at very reasonable rates ( Ham , fish etc ) Back to the hotel tax is payable at 15 euros per room per night Rooms spacious , clean and the largest bed in the world , aircon works well but will need resetting if power cut occurs Fridge is stocked with beer wine and usual soft drinks plus water replaced when taken no extra charge , hairdryer included plus tv on wall , loads of storage with hangers and easy to use safe inside the cupboard Bath robes inside the cupboard and room slippers , towels replaced everyday and beach towels provided Entertainment is fantastic as before it does run through to 23:00 so book knowing that and either join in or wear earplugs Quiet pool is just that plenty of sunbeds and crepes and toasties plus drinks provided by Maria who is an absolute diamond Can’t comment on other pool as didn’t use it but will say all pools and areas are cleaned every day Restaurants we only used the main one and beach for breakfast and lunch dinner Beach restaurant lots of quality food on offer and the staff are all amazing Main restaurant Run by Antonis and his team , foods fantastic the service impeccable you’re made to feel like family nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to make you relaxed and happy 07:05 the sunrise is definitely one to get up for Staff To name a few Antonis , Yousef , Fiah and Maria chill pool , head chef Maria , Roddy beach bar and so many more are all exceptional, professional and respectful From the cleaning teams to the hotel manager everyone is top class it’s a very well run hotel from start to finish It was our anniversary and we had some bubbly a card and cake inside the room and flowers brought to the table for my wife Three of us already booked for October next year and are already counting down the days to our next visit Book with confidence and relax into your stay and become one the Oceanis Family Ps can someone feed my cats in the morning Tiger , Fluffy and Garfield x

Currently still at this hotel. The location is perfect, right by the beach, 10 mins from center of Kos (easy bus ride). Rooms are clean and what you expect from a Tui Blue. Can be noisy depending where your room is located as the band doesn't finish until 23:00 We went at the end of the season (October) and the staff were very friendly. Cons (if you want to call them cons).... You can't have an iron or ironing board. You have to pay if you want something ironed. Also, you can't take drinks into the restaurant. You can only drink wine or water which we found very confusing.

Had a lovely time at this wonderful resort. Second time in a row, just as good as the first time overall. The restaurant and la carte's are excellent with great food and tasty, although the veal was a bit tough. The entertainment was mostly the same as last year, the shows are very good, but could do different songs on the second week maybe. The staff in the restaurants and bars including Lauren at the cafe are amazing and work so hard. The standard room is big enough with two sinks and a powerful rain shower, plenty of wardrobe space and big comfy bed with four pillows. Could have more drawers in the room. The hotel is on a big resort with lovely gardens, tennis courts, a exercise area, a lovely beach, 3 bars and 4 restaurants. 2 la carte's per week, you need to book them in on the first night to get availability. We joined in on the activities such as gin and wine tasting and cocktail making, it's a great way to meet people and have a great time. We also used the spa facilities, had a nice relaxing time, although the pool was a bit cool. We look forward to staying at the resort again in the next few years. Cheers

We stayed at this hotel in October to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. It's a lovely hotel and we had a good time, but it's not perfect and it's not 5 star (TUI do have it as a 4 star but outside the hotel they have 5 stars, confusingly) THE ROOMS Firstly, do not upgrade to the Executive Suite, they are situated underneath the lobby bar and the restaurant and are very noisy, we were woken up around 6.45am each day and it sometimes went on till midnight. The room itself was fine though, although the décor is nothing like what is shown on the TUI website, with the lovely blue walls, it's in fact very plain and quite basic looking. It is huge, with lots of storage and a bath and separate shower, two sinks. Very comfortable bed and sofa. The pool was icy cold, I couldn't even go in, and my husband only went in it a couple of times, maybe it's better in the height of summer. The rooms are in a great location though. We changed rooms after three nights due to the noise (this was requested after two nights but we had to wait), moving to a Superior Suite with Whirlpool which was lovely, plenty of space, a huge bath, two sinks, walk in shower and separate toilet. It did lack storage space however, and they had pointless alcoves which could have been turned into shelves or cupboards. The whirlpool was lovely and it was actually nice being able to use that. The room and terrace were mostly very quiet and peaceful, it got next to no sun but we didn't mind this. Our mini bar was only refilled once, rather than 3 times as advertised on the website but we could access the VIP area due to being in a suite, so we could get cans from there. They didn't tell us about the VIP area, we had to ask for the key card and we only knew about it because we'd seen it mentioned on a social media group. If they put sunbeds up there, and actually told people about it, I think it would be used more but we rarely saw anybody else in there. They left us a bottle of Fizz, a card and a cake in our room for our anniversary which was a nice touch and appreciated, the cake was delicious! Housekeeping did a great job, our room(s) were spotless and we got fresh towels every day. POOLS AND BEACH We loved the beach, we spent most of our time there and we were glad we took our sea shoes as it's very rough under foot. We could always get sunbeds no matter which part we went to. We didn't go in either pool because we saw the reactions of others who went in and they both sounded freezing. We did sit around both on occasion and could again always get beds. They do have a rule about no towels on sunbeds around the pool before 10am, and maybe this is enforced during peak times but it wasn't while we were there. They have a lovely grassy bit that runs the length of the hotel along the beach, and that had lots of sunbeds on too. We really liked that you could change your beach towel every day, especially as our terrace didn't really get any sun so they wouldn't have dried well. THE FOOD We mostly enjoyed the food, it wasn't always amazing at the buffet and sometimes on the cold side, but we could find something to eat at every meal and neither of us had any kind of upset stomach during the holiday. I really enjoyed breakfast, the fresh honey was amazing and the freshly squeezed orange juice. My husband enjoyed the French toast and pancakes most days! One thing I didn't like at breakfast was the individual UHT milk, really wasn't a fan so for the rest of the week I got a small glass and got milk from the where the cereals are. This is one of the reasons it's not 5 star. I really enjoyed the desserts at lunch and dinner, especially the Saragli! The Italian night on the Sunday night was the best meal we had at the buffet, the Asian night and Seafood night were good too. There was a really efficient lady at lunch in Meltami who was always so on it with the drinks, and after a few days she remember what you had and would bring it over straight away. It was very straight forward booking tables at the à la carte restaurants, you can do it by speaking to the host at dinner or breakfast. The Culinarium was our favourite meal overall, absolutely delicious, very well presented and great service. I loved the blue cheese mousse. We also had a meal at Dopio, the staff were so good, really friendly and explained the slightly complicated menu to us, actually felt sorry for him as he had to explain it to every single table. The issue with Dopio is the starter is HUGE, we could've had just that for starter and main and we'd have been fine. We heard two other tables talking about the portion size being too big as well. I couldn't really enjoy this meal because of all the waste. I cancelled my dessert which was a shame but didn't want to waste anything else. We had a crepe from Greco café every day except one! Lorenna, I think that's her name, was so lovely, really friendly and incredibly efficient as she was on her own most of the time. They also had ice cream and toasties but we didn't try them (the ice cream is the same as at lunch and dinner.) I was really pleased that they had a small selection of mocktails, I tried all of them except the Iced Peach Tea (not a mocktail!) and they were really good, the 'brain-less zombie' being my favourite. My husband tried several of the cocktails and enjoyed them, I don't know why some reviews say they had little alcohol, they tasted pretty strong to us! We didn't enjoy the Pina Colado though, which is my favourite cocktail, it was full of bits which was unpleasant. THE STAFF The staff were great, pretty much everybody we had contact with were friendly and helpful. And they all seemed to be working very hard. The only staff who weren't like this were the reception staff/duty manager who dealt with our room change, they made us feel like we were a nuisance and that we had no right to complain about the noise because they couldn't afford to stay in such a nice room. Their comments were very unprofessional and completely irrelevant. We spent a good chunk of our 10th wedding anniversary dealing with that, plus packing, having no room for several hours and then unpacking. The TUI rep did arrange for us to have late checkout in way of compensation. ENTERTAINMENT We didn't really enjoy the entertainment or activities, the smoothie making class was basically just watching somebody make smoothies and then trying them, the person running it was very friendly but it was pretty boring. The music around the pool during the day made you feel like you were at an 18 – 30s holiday in Ibiza or something, insanely loud, pounding music. Didn't really fit with the crowd at the hotel which was mixed but leaned towards an older, 40+ age group. The mini golf is pretty sad looking, I don't feel like it would take much to make that area look better. Overall, we enjoyed our holiday but we wouldn't return to this hotel. A hotel has to really wow us for us to want to go back and sadly as nice as this was, it didn't wow us.

Had a wonderful time at the Tui Blue Oceanis Beach and Spa resort. Food was delicious. Plenty of it . Lovely staff in all areas of the hotel. Plenty of different activities going on and if you didn't want to join in with the activities there is the quiet pool area or the beach to relax in. Big shout out to the entertainment team. The Michael Jackson show and The dance show were both great. A big thank you to Wisam Namaste who is the fitness trainer at the resort. Who worked really hard to get me to do a squat properly and for me to actually put my shoulders down .
