TUI BLUE Palazzo del Mare

We are currently staying at the Palazzo Del Mare. The hotel is adults only, which suits us as are children are now all grown up. The hotel complex is very peaceful and provides a relaxing place to stay. We have a swim up room that provides direct access to the 160 metre pool. There are two pools that run parallel and have joining sections so you can literally swim for miles if you want. All the staff are very pleasant and glad to help. On arrival we were greeted warmly and taken to our room on a golf cart. As we arrived late the dining room was closed, but two plates of cold meats, cheese and olives had been left for us in the fridge. We had let the hotel know that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they had left a bottle of champagne on ice in our room which was a nice touch. The dining room is relaxed and offers a good selection of dishes, I'm rather partial to the Baklavas. Stepping out of the hotel, the sea is just metres away. The beach is sandy and sun beads are available for hotel guests. The town of Marimar is a 850 metre walk with a few taverna's along the way. The town is small, but does have a reasonable supermarket for any essentials. All in all a very nice experience.

We’ve just returned from a week at the Palazzo Del Mare. I believe it’s the beginning of the season so it was really quiet. The hotel is probably one of the best we have been to in Europe. The pool area especially is absolutely amazing. Spotlessly clean, massive pool, the sunbeds were comfortable and well spaced so you weren’t right next to anyone else. The 2 things that let the pool down was it was FREEZING! I mean I couldn’t even put my toe in it 🥶🥶🥶 and you got the pool towels from the spa area, where they say you can get them from 10 till 6 but every time we went there was nobody there so we only changed our towels once and that’s only because my husband just took them from behind the counter. This may be because it wasn’t fully in season but if the hotel is open you should be able to swap your towels. The dining area was fabulous and always a good range of food. The staff are also very friendly. 1 thing to point out is to be aware of the annex! If you have a room in the annex you are away from the main pool. These rooms are in the 100s and face the mountains and the road to the side of the hotel. It’s very confusing when booking as some specify annex in the room name and some only specify it in the description which if you read other reviews seems to be a common problem. Our room specified swim-up superior twin room with pool view. No mention of annex. I read the reviews before we arrived about being wary of the annex, so I emailed and specified we didn’t want to be in the annex. They replied to say the room we booked was an annex. So I replied and said we defo didn’t book an annex and it said we had a pool view which the annex does not have. We left it that hopefully it would be sorted by the time we arrived. Unfortunately it wasn’t sorted so we had to pay €160ish. So just double check and double check again that the picture you see on the room is attached to the main pool and that it doesn’t have the word annex anywhere in the small print of the description. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure some people might like it over there being completely isolated but it wasn’t for us. We ended up in room 215 which got the sun on the terrace from 12 till the sun went down which was perfect. I’ve attached the map so you can see where the annex is. Overall we had a fabulous stay and even the little problems didn’t stop me giving it 5* but they really should 5ink about heating the pool!,

Chose this hotel as a last minute whim booking and we are so glad we did! We arrived on first day of opening and the weather was biblical! Worst storm in over 70 years the staff were confused and cold as were we! (It only last 2 days) but it gave us time to enjoy the hotel itself and our room. The gym is well equipped and the restaurant was open for lunch with the wood oven going which smelled fantastic. The room was very comfortable to be stuck in for the day and we were happy enough chilling in a very comfortable bed. Booking a car / buggy to drive around in is super easy and it’s basically an A road from one end of the island to the other. So was really easy to go out and explore. Zia is a must see and if you are at this hotel go up in the morning for the shops and cafes. This hotel has a gorgeous sand beach and it is the perfect place to watch the sunset. I cannot explain how wonderful that was. Would absolutely recommend upgrading to a pool side room (between 230-235) gives you sun all day and you are by the pool bar. Food was top notch every night. We did not have a bad meal, breakfast lunch or dinner. The buffet for dinner is not huge but had a fantastic salad bar with everything you could possibly want, a chef’s station which didn’t disappoint every night. I only eat fish and I never struggled. Puddings were always awesome and nothing was repeated throughout the week every day was different and delicious. The culinarium for lunch was perfect great choices and right by the bar for drinks. Cocktails were top quality every time and we sampled quite a few. The staff were all fantastic considering they had just opened and the first few days were a bit sdamp because of the weather it didn’t dampen their service. Always treated with a smile and a helping hand if we needed absolutely anything. Just 5Star. Overall would 100% recommend this hotel for a relaxed fly and flop holiday with a bit of sight seeing thrown in we would definitely return.

It is very rare that you find a hotel that “ ticks all the boxes” - but this one does for us . Invariably you find a great hotel and it is miles from the beach , or something else is lacking . But this place was just perfect for us. Beautiful well laid out hotel with a great pool. Very near to a sandy beach - plenty of sunbeds and safe pavements to stroll into Marmari. Great food and service . No children , swim up rooms and very tranquil. Even the entertainment was good . A special shout out to the man who asked “do you do requests - can you play Layla ?” They couldn’t but were good nonetheless. Even the film night by the pool was enjoyable . I cannot recommend this highly enough for a couples relaxing break . Perfect location and hotel.

The hotel is very nice place, close to the beach. The hotel is clean and very comforteble . A lot of good food. Very nice and frendly serwis i every step. The most nice serwis is in the Spa , you shuld take the masagge by Frosini she it the best ever !!! After visit in her massage we Reserved this hotel for the vacation on next year .
