Overall an excellent hotel, with attentive helpful staff, good food, clean rooms and a range of facilities and activities. From the hotel reception to the beach was about a 3 minute walk. On the beach there is watersports equipment and lessons, volleyball games, yoga, aerobics, archery and more. Two restaurants are situated at the beach, an Italian and a Greek restaurant. We had no problem booking either. The main restaurant has a good range of foods. We are both vegan and although there were only a few things in the buffet that were Vegan, the chef and staff were very helpful to veganise what they could. We asked for a cheesy pasta and got a fantastic dish. We asked for other things - pancakes and chocolate sauce, garlic bread, chickpea curry, various things, and they were all prepared fresh for us. It is not abundantly clear at the outset. The activities were well run and felt safe. One point to note - whilst we were there the guests were about 90% German. Not a problem, as everything is written in English also, everyone we spoke to seemed to know English so I didn't have to practice my Greek...!! There isn't much directly outside of the hotel but the Lido Water Park is across the road and there is a little shop down the road. The hotel also has a mini mart well equipped with things like sunscreen and snacks (not vegan). There are something like 10 or 14 swimming pools at the hotel. They were not heated but were ok once in!! (We went in May so not the height to the summer). We had a big double room, with balcony, drying rack, air conditioning, plenty of sockets, shower, double sinks, plenty of loo roll etc., drinks were kept stocked in the fridge, platter of fruit on arrival. Even towelling robes and slippers provided. Also toiletries. There is an easy to use safe in each room, big enough for a laptop or 5. The gym here is small and was very busy when we were there. The TV is 90% German speaking channels. Only really a news channel. However wifi is free and excellent - you don't have to keep logging in each day either. It seemed to work throughout the hotel, by the pool, in the gardens, etc. and was fast. Plenty of tennis courts. Various kids and teens clubs. Also trips available, for example to Kos or to Bodrum, sailing, various things. Noise wise, we asked for a quiet room but was quite near the main stage. I was travelling with a teen so not a big problem. The staff could not do more to help. Everyone we spoke to went out of their way to really ensure our holiday was good. They all went above and beyond.
We have had a fantastic holiday. The hotel is fabulous and caters for all ages, with good entertainment and sporting activities. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food was superb. We found all the staff to be very obliging and courteous. A massive shout out to our friendly waiter Dimitris at the Wunderbar who made our stay so enjoyable. He is a real superstar who went above and beyond to personalise our stay. He is a real credit to the hotel. We will definitely return.
Nice stay. Dimitris the waiter was super!
