TUI SUNEO Chrissi Amoudia

The first few days were really good. Perfect for a family trip. Entertainment was good as were the facilites overall. However, the last few days were underwhelming. The hotel was close to closing for the season and the cleanliness slipped dramatically. Food options were poor and staff were clearly ready for the break.

Just returned from our week away as a family of (17 & 12). Lovely hotel and staff were lovely and helpful. We got there in the early hours and the staff had left food out for us in the kitchen, which was a godsend as the kids were hungry and had ate everything that I had purchased in the airport!! We had a bungalow with 3 beds. It was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a bath/shower combo. Every morning at 10am the entertainment team do a dance and the hotel song is one of those ones that you know after hearing it for the first time! 😂 The entertainment team seemed lovely and would say hello if they saw you around. We played one game at the pool but we like to be in the pool or sleep in the sun. But a lot of people were playing the games and seemed like they were having fun. There was always something on at night. We saw a bit of the karaoke and the rock band (2 man band who were really good, singing a few covers!) The breakfast was good. They had a continental area, fresh fruit area and then the hot food. There is also a chef preparing fresh fried eggs and he was always busy! The snack bar was always good! If we missed breakfast we would go there at around 11:30 for an early dinner. We ate in there a few times and the food was good! Tables were cleaned quickly by the lovely man who worked there. Evening meals were also good. We like to go out as a family at night for a meal. But we did stay in the hotel for two nights and ate in the restaurant. The food isn’t “red hot”, but it’s still nice. There was always a fresh meat (chicken, pork or beef), vegetables, chips and rice. Also fresh salads and a kids corner (nuggets/chips etc). You also get your own drinks which gets really busy! It could do with another drinks area to prevent the build up of people in one area trying to take drinks back to the table. The cleaners in the restaurant worked really hard and were always smiling and talking. You can sit outside, but we found that a lot of people were sat outside smoking. Which is personal choice but we don’t smoke and don’t want to sit in that when eating. Arcade area is staffed from 4pm till 10pm. Great for the kids, €3 to play pool and then lots of little claw games for kids to try and get small toys. There is a large lounge in the reception, there were about 15 large sofas and chairs where you can sit and play Uno or enjoy a drink. The bar areas were spotless! Everywhere was so clean including all of the toilets. There is a spa on site. I paid £90 for a full body massage, body scrub and a body wrap. The lady who did it was lovely but she was on her own trying to manage the front desk due to it being the run up to the end of the season. But I enjoyed it and my skin felt a lot better! There is also a small shop on site. He was very reasonably priced and very pleasant. They sell all games (Uno, monopoly, Ludo etc) and he has lots on inflatables which were reasonably priced! The pool was clean but the floor is very slippy!! Never any issues getting Sunbeds as there were lots!! All in all, a lovely little hotel

Weve just returned home from a week at the Chrissi Amoudia. All in all we had a great time. Our room was a great size with 3 beds. Lovely view over the sea, it was facing the road but it was lovely and quiet so we were very happy. The only downside was the bathroom, which seriously needs updating. The selection of food was great. Fabulous salads!!! The only criticism is that often the food wasn’t hot which was a shame as it was so tasty!! But it’s All Inclusive so it’s to be expected I suppose; shame though!! The children loved the snack bar and especially the free flowing ice cream. The terraces and pool areas are so pretty, clean and beautifully maintained. The pool was cold but once you’re in it was lovely. However, the gardens are where the beds were and there’s plenty of beds. But the problem was the guests leaving cigarette ends all over the place. It was disgusting and not something you want to step on barefoot after the pool. Now for the entertainment, oh my goodness what fun we all had. They were brilliant!! They were fantastic with our children and hilarious with us adults. A great balance. There was 8 of us as a party, 4 adults and 4 children, the hotel is perfect for families of all ages. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and I’d happily return.

We have just returned home after a lovely week at this hotel and just wanted to say a massive thank you. From when we checked in with Stelios who was very helpful, we couldn’t fault anything. We had a perfect sea view bungalow. Yes, the food in the restaurant could be a little warmer, but I think this is common on all inclusive wherever you go and there is such a variety, but you would not go hungry. Special shout out to Zac who was always there to help everyone, Noi and all the restaurant staff who worked tirelessly to keep everything clear and Yianis on the bar. Would definitely recommend this hotel and fingers crossed we will return. Thank you all.

We received an upgrade to a seaview, renovated bungalow with fruit and wine in the room which was a lovely surprise. The room was beautiful although not very private. Pool area, sunbeds etc. all great - clean and beautiful with plenty of beds (some people still reserving before breakfast with towels 🙄). Breakfast lovely - so much choice not too busy if you go a bit early. Lunch and dinner lots on offer as others have said it could be hotter. Vegetarian selection somewhat odd - feta rogout with shrimps anyone. Lots of salads, chips, pizza though. You definitely won't go hungry. Beer very nice, vodka okay, soft drinks also fine if sweeter than we are used to. Water available at all times to refill water bottles from restaurant or snack bar. Large bottle in fridge on arrival cheap in the on site shop. 10 minutes walk to the beach which is a bit rocky but lots of places where it is sandy at the edge. Sarandai beach 15 to 20 minutes walk also very nice. Walk into Hersonissos port about 40 minutes stroll a bit hilly at the end but mostly a nice walk. We did Spinalonga excursion from shop down the road which was good fun especially if you have read 'The Island'. We got the bus from outside the hotel to go to Knossos. Get off at main bus station, go up the steps then turn right and the bus stop is right there. We spent about 2 hours there then caught the 2pm bus back - it was very hot. Staff at the hotel were all lovely especially Irene on reception and a lovely older chap who gave us the advice about getting to Knossos. Restaurant staff also really friendly and helpful except one tall guy with messy long hair. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend the hotel especially to families. We were very happy with our lovely room and the friendly service. Just one thing - the snacks after the restaurant closes are quite poor so why not stagger the opening so better snacks are available if people miss lunch. Grounds are beautiful with flowers and plants - lots of places inside and out to sit and chill in the evening.
