Avra Beach

Myself and my partner have just spent 10 days staying in the Avra beach hotel, staying all inclusive. The resort is right on the beach front so you have about a 10 metre walk to the beach from the main reception, there is also a swimming pool for guests to use while they stay. It is to be noted that the pool is colder than the ocean (at the time of writing) but this will come in handy during the peak of summer I should imagine. The all inclusive package includes access to breakfast lunch and tea/dinner as well as two drinks bars and a snack bar. There is also a ‘theme’ snack bar/restaurant which is open between 11.30-16.00 and 18.30-21.00 should you miss out on lunch or dinner in the main restaurant. The rooms are kept to a very high standard with cleaners in every day, taking time to wipe, wash and clean every area of the room. The only down side to our room was the fact we were right beside the stairs and elevators in the hotel so we could hear quite a lot of movement through the night. If sight seeing is your thing, there is a lovely travel agent called Mary who can be found in the hotel lobby and she will arrange everything you could possibly think of in terms of visiting locations on the island. We visited the old town, the new town as well as Lindos but our symi island day trip unfortunately fell foul to the weather for which we were refunded. If you are travelling with kids, this is the part you will want to read; The resort has a fantastic animation team here, they offer something for everyone from football to darts to bowls to volleyball and much more. At night time There is bingo, karaoke, and kids entertainment. A massive shout out to Sam, Leah, Boogie and Tibi! They all made us feel so welcomed during our stay and the effort they make to interact with the kids is second to none. These guys have such a positive attitude towards their job and really bring a good vibe to the place whenever you see them around. ** the animation team also run a party night on a Tuesday and a Friday night to Faliraki to which guests from the hotel are invited at a cost of 25 euros, this covers travel to and from faliraki as well as club entrance (+18s). The animation team book private buses to take you there and home, well worth a trip if you are looking for a night out. Overall a wonderful 10 days, this is 100% some place we would return to again!

My 2nd visit to Avra beach and it was as fantastic as the 1st. Once again the staff cant do enough for you and are always smiling. The place is so clean and well maintained. One downside is the weight I've put on as the food is so good. Its hard to resist. So much choice even for the fussiest eater. The entertainment team are fantastic. Boogie, Tibi, Mia and Sam, thanks for making our holiday so good. See you all in September!

Arrived at the Avra very late at night. Went to our room...so disappointed with it. This is a 4*hotel but our room was no better than 1*. Very poor lighting. Husband is partially sighted & couldn't see steps down to second room & balcony. Asked if we could be moved. Had to wait 2 days for move. Meanwhile, air conditioning unit in original room started to leak all over bed & my suitcase. Reported it & didn't get any apology. New room was stunning, couldn't be better until sprinklers came on & soaked our sun loungers . Couldn't lie on them. Food in restaurant was extremely poor. Alcohol was definitely missing from the bottles at the bar. Would love to know abv of the alcohol served!! Staff very nice though and hotel was extremely clean

We stayed at Avra Beach Resort for ten nights in April 2026 for our honeymoon, and honestly, it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, the hotel made us feel incredibly special. As we were on our honeymoon, we were greeted with some lovely decorations in our room which really set the tone for a memorable and romantic stay. It’s these small details that made a big difference and showed how much the staff genuinely care about their guests. Our room itself was spotless and recently renovated, with a fresh, modern feel and housekeeping did an excellent job throughout our stay, keeping everything immaculate. The food was outstanding and was really easily one of the highlights of the trip. There was a fantastic variety every day, and everything we tried was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavour. Particular highlights were the gyros station available through the day, and we loved trying the food on their Rhodian night especially! Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and effortless. A special mention has to go to the entertainment team (Tibi & Boogie in particular!), who were fantastic throughout our stay. They made a real effort to engage with people without being overbearing, creating a fun and inclusive atmosphere around the resort. The location is another huge plus. Being pretty much in-between the airport and Rhodes town meant that the connecting bus from the airport and the services offered to the Old Town were pretty quick considering the other resorts on Rhodes. As it's also right on the beachfront meant we were treated to stunning, uninterrupted sea views every day and the setting really is picturesque. We were also lucky with the weather in April (barring one chilly morning), which made the experience even better. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon destination. Between the amazing food, exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and thoughtful personal touches, Avra Beach Resort delivered a perfect 10/10 experience for us. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone!
